Limen Architecture + Design

Limen Architecture + Design is a multidisciplinary residential architecture practice headquartered in Aspen, Colorado, led by Founder + Principal Soren Phibbs, AIA. We design bespoke, mid-scale homes for rural and mountain sites, including new custom homes, renovations and additions, shaped by local context, natural light and the surrounding landscape. Our work is always informed by mountains, deserts, the high plains and their environments. Soren's Rocky Mountain roots inspire designs that thrive in the extreme and diverse environments of the American West. From Arizona's arid deserts to Colorado's frigid peaks, no two building envelopes are alike. Thoughtful planning is essential, not just for a structure's construction, but for its long-term performance, expression and story. A native of Colorado's Western Slope, Soren earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2014. He has since worked for and with nationally recognized, award-winning design firms on projects spanning 34+ states, combining deep knowledge of building science and evolving construction methods with a sharp eye for design. We stay conscious of interiors, lighting, furnishings, art and landscape from the first sketch. Through construction we work directly with your builder, capitalizing on our shared expertise so the finished home is true to its design. From conceptualization to construction and beyond, we tell your story through brick, mortar, timber and thought. Services: architecture, space planning, site and landscape design, sustainable design, new construction, renovations, zoning and code analysis, permitting and entitlements, and construction contract administration. Licensed in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Wyoming. Member of AIA, NCARB, NAHB and USGBC.
