Linda Mazur Design

We had a horrible experience with Linda Mazur Design and would never recommend Linda Mazur Design (LMD) to anyone. Honestly, there were too many problems to recount them all here. Here's hoping your projects work out better than ours did.

There is a long list of reasons why we would never recommend Linda Mazur Design to anyone. In particular, there was a lack of accounting for money/time spent and for the countless number of problems arising during the project. No doubt, Linda will respond by blaming the client but we have owned many homes and undertaken many renovations in various parts of the world. This way by far our worst experience.

Linda and her team have worked with us on three design projects in various homes. She is very affable and confident which lends itself to robust discussions about her ideas and recommendations. Linda listens and reads between the lines and the result is a design plan that is just what we wanted. One does not know what one does not know! Linda is creative and able to design a plan that uses the space to its best advantage. It is evident that she is constantly seeking out and learning about new design ideas. We really appreciated her ability to blend the old with the new which totally suits our idea of what home means to us. Her sources of information and related supplies are endless and reliable. Most projects require a plan that includes delivery schedules, workmen scheduling, visit schedules, payment schedules, etc. She adheres to the plan to the best of her ability however in this line of work some of the timing is beyond her ability to influence. Linda played an active role in keeping us informed and reassured accordingly. In the end her insight and resourcefulness has provided us with fresh, comfortable, and affordable designs that we love.

As this is the third project, over 10 years, we have benefited from Linda’s expertise and seen to completion, we are confident that she can quickly assess our needs, understands and appreciates our type of house (age, style, quality of construction) and can source the trades required to do the job. Her creativity is evident in every project (kitchen, bathroom, house decor) and she limits the number of choices that we as clients must make from amongst a variety of interesting items from paint/paper selections to light fixtures, …etc. She makes herself available for whatever question, comment, concern arises at a moment's notice via cell or email. All in all a confident, capable and lovely individual to work with. Her enthusiasm is contagious.

Linda excels at caring about her clients' satisfaction. I worked with Linda on a renovation and new decor for my condo that involved my kitchen, dining room, living room, den and hallways. She was excellent at calming my jitters, walking me through every step and following up whenever I had concerns. When I needed to scale back for budget reasons, she quickly came up with new approaches that worked perfectly for me. I'm very satisfied with the end result. I recommend Linda highly.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen. Linda is an excellent designer that listens to her clients and interprets their desires. What sets Linda's designs apart is the little details that make the space unique. She provided options to us that we hadn't considered and as a result there is not a thing we would change about our kitchen design. We built a 4 foot addition onto our kitchen and the difference that provided was amazing. We went from a cramped awkward to work in space to a beautiful airy and functional room. Everyone that has seen our kitchen cannot believe the transformation. The skylights and windows on the wall that opens up to the backyard have allowed for so much light to enter the room. We love our kitchen!!!

I have worked with Linda and her team on a number of projects including a major renovation. She is easy to work with and provides excellent service. She is very good at staying on top of the work being done and has excellent design skills. She is also very responsive to e-mails and phone calls. No job is too big or too small.

We engaged Linda to come up with a new design for our 20-year old kitchen which involved a total renovation, and we're very pleased with the results! We worked very closely together on the new design to ensure it would meet our needs, and we appreciate the collaborative approach. Linda and her team brought forward some innovative ideas to the design which have greatly improved the overall functionality of our kitchen. We're very happy with the quality of the materials used: the cabinetry, flooring, quartz counter-tops, etc. and each team member involved in the construction was very professional and took pride in their work.

I am so proud to know Linda and to say that she has hired a number of our top graduates over the years. It is gratifying to see the talent she has nurtured as our students have grown under Linda's expert guidance. She personifies professionalism, creativity, expertise, and entrepreneurship.

I have been working with Linda and her team for a couple years now. Linda is a fantastic designer! She is always great to work with and her designs are always top notch.

We first met Linda at the Home Show where we had initial questions about the layout for our recently purchased home. When we decided to gut the place, and quickly became overwhelmed, we called her in to help. She was creative and resourceful, assisting us in making some very big design decisions. We are extremely happy with the way our house turned out and often get comments from our guests. Thank you Linda!

Working with Sarah and Linda has been a pleasure from the first phone call. Sarah has always had the greatest respect for my input AND my budget and I couldn't be happier as my condo renovation progresses. With their pleasant and friendly demeanour, great attention to detail and customer satisfaction and excellent communication skills, this is a firm I would highly recommend.
