Lisa and her team at Evenflo Interiors decorated our new home about a year ago and year later I am just as thrilled by the spaces she created as the day she finished. She and her team created an elegance to each room that you weren’t afraid to actually live in. Lisa spends time to understand your tastes and how each space will be used and presents serval focused and cohesive design options making what seemed like an overwhelming task to my wife and I easy and actually fun.

What Lisa did in terms of decorating our home far exceeded our expectations! She really turned our vision of understated luxury into a comfortable, cozy living space. Lisa is our "go to" designer! We would recommend her for any project. She's professional, fun and a good translator of wish to reality.

We first hired Evenflow Interiors in September 2021 to help decorate our Monmouth County home. As first-time homeowners, we lacked both the time and design expertise to bring our vision to life. After interviewing three designers—and based on a strong recommendation from a friend—we chose Lisa and her team. In addition to creating beautiful, cohesive spaces, Lisa came up with a brilliant solution for our need for a small home office. Her idea was both functional and stunning. We’ve since hired Lisa again for our New York City apartment. We liked the space but knew we’d love it once Lisa worked her magic—and she did. She transformed it into a beautiful, peaceful home, adding thoughtful touches like custom lighting and wallpaper that completely elevate the space. We also worked with her husband Rick to design custom built-ins that bring both storage and beauty to the apartment. Lisa and Rick are an absolute pleasure to work with—creative, professional, and always true to their timeline. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We were newcomers to the interior design world and had been looking for someone to help us transform our recently purchased beach house into “our home.” After watching Lisa and Rick Cressman in an episode of George to the Rescue,” we decided to contact EvenFlow Interiors. We met Lisa in May and discussed in general terms what we wanted and requested an almost impossible time frame of three months to complete the project. She was so friendly, gracious, and patient with us as we could not exactly define what we wanted and only could provide her with some nebulous ideas. She understood our needs, made helpful suggestions, and presented several options for every detail and purchase, even incorporating some of our existing pieces. She was always available and diligent in procuring items that could be delivered in a timely fashion and dedicated to tasks being accomplished in our short time frame. We loved all her ideas, so decisions were often challenging for us to make. She was even tolerant when we changed our minds and decided on another option. With her vast resources, she helped us choose furniture for every room, bedding, area rugs, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, paint colors, window treatments, and counter tops. Lisa and her husband, Rick, are delightful people who coordinated the work of EvenFlow’s team of excellent tradespeople. The entire group was accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and Lisa always informed us about arrival dates and times for anyone on the team. She, Rick, and everyone involved were meticulous, so the project felt simple and seamless for us while it was systematically completed. She and Rick even helped us hang the existing artwork, so from conception to sourcing to installation, EvenFlow accomplished our dreams. There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience with EvenFlow Interiors and especially Lisa and Rick. They are truly wonderful people and make a tremendous team! As the project was nearing completion, we felt as though we had gained friends—friends whom we will call upon for our next project. This is the second time I’ve worked with Lisa, first to decorate my home and this time together with her husband Rick, to renovate and design my bathrooms. As usual Lisa did an amazing job decorating, and I could not have hoped for better than Rick when it came to the renovation. Renovation is stressful but Rick took care of my home like it was his. His laid back demeanor was so helpful because I’m anything but. This husband and wife duo are the best, work great together and I will always use them and recommend them.

Working with Lisa and Rick made the incredibly overwhelming task of gutting and redesigning our home's main living spaces seem like a breeze. Fantastic experience working with Rick & Lisa. We couldn’t have been happier with the finished outcome and they were so easy and pleasant to work with throughout the entire process. Lisa has impeccable taste and matched our aesthetic well. We gave her some upfront guidance and she executed it flawlessly down to the smallest detail. They had lots of ideas from their vast experience to help enhance the overall product on both the layout and design. We could give them a problem we wanted to solve (hiding a vacuum or getting extra light) and they were able to figure out how to make it a reality. Rick’s craftsmanship is excellent. He managed all aspects of electrical, plumbing, floors, tile, paint, trim, etc. It all came together seamlessly and he was able to easily breakdown / explain any issues that came up along the way and offer solutions on how to make it work. Best of all, they made everything easy. They stuck to our budget, itemized everything and communicated frequently to make sure we new what was going on and what decisions needed to be made. I was concerned initialy, I wasn’t doing enough on the project, but it was because they were doing it all for us behind the scenes. Everything about the outcome and the process exceeded our expectations.

I had a great experience working with Lisa and her team. I had purchased a new townhome in Asbury Park and wanted to go the extra mile in getting professional help with the interior design. I bought a house in Spring Lake NJ in September 2021 and started working with Lisa in October 2021. We needed to furnish and decorate the entire house. Our main residence is out of state. I was concerned about the process of working with a local designer given that I was out of state. I wanted to decorate and furnish the house during the winter so that we would be able to use it for summer 2022. I met with Lisa a few times to go over all of the options such as fabrics, rugs, furniture selections, light fixtures, etc. She made the process very easy for me, and we communicated throughout the winter via email or phone. In June 2022, she and her team did a big install so when we arrived the next day, the whole house was 95% done and looked amazing! I was so happy with all of the selections and how beautiful everything looked, down to the accessorizing. Lisa truly is very talented, very relaxed and has a great eye. She took care of every detail and was so professional. I look forward to working with Lisa again for any future interior design projects I might have.

I found Lisa on Houzz and hired her to help me with a few rooms in our new beach house. I had somewhat of a vision. She asked lots of questions and really listened and the result is beyond what we ever imagined, an absolute dream. We have just moved into our dream house which is a completely blank canvas for us. We knew we needed help, plus we had never worked with an interior designer before. We engaged Evenflow to redesign our basement and we could not be more pleased with the experience. We loved all of Lisa’s ideas and the beautiful way in which we could preview our vision in her amazing renderings. We also were so grateful for her patience and flexibility as the project developed. I'm not sure where to start and what to say that hasn't been said about Lisa. Evenflow made our short list based in part on the glowing 5 Star reviews I read and I can attest that each word of them is true. My husband and I knew shortly after starting our first meeting with Lisa that we would be leaving the renovation of the first floor of our new house in her hands. It was a task that had completely overwhelmed me and I was relieved to find her process straight forward and her passion, sincerity and dedication bred trust and joy on our part. COVID certainly threw curve balls that pushed our goal date back but we were always informed about the state of the project. Walking into the house after the work was done was night and day - we were finally walking into our home not just our house on the shore. I literally could not recommend EvenFlow Homes and EvenFlow Interiors enough. Against all odds - dwindling inventory, subcontractors not available, factories closing and deliveries getting delayed owing to Covid, Lisa and Rick managed to pull off a dream renovation and full interior decoration of our new home. They are an absolute pleasure to work with - highest integrity, open to feedback, willing to take on the longest of wishlists (and pushing back where appropriate). Throughout the entire project they were incredibly professional and pleasant to work with and went the extra mile for us more times than I can count. My overarching feeling from our very initial phone call and throughout was that they cared about our home and the outcome as much as we did. They never settled for anything less than perfection and at each step offered plenty of options, never steering us wrong! We definitely spent a little more than we originally budgeted but Rick and Lisa were fully transparent, checked in all the time, and gave us wise recommendations on where they felt it was worth spending a little extra versus other decision points where it wasn’t worth it. I put every ounce of faith I had in them, and wasn’t disappointed. We even managed to have plenty of laughs throughout all the madness! Owing to their craftsmanship, artistry, experience and professionalism, we now have a dream home for our family and will be forever grateful to and for them.

I was always nervous that a designer wouldn’t understand me, or be able to help me realize my vision, because I know what I want in my head, but I can never seem to verbalize it. Once I met with Lisa from Evenflow Interiors, I knew she was the one who would be able to take what was inside my head and make it a reality. She knew exactly what to ask, and what to show me. She was friendly, prompt, and respectful of my budget. Each one of her vendors (from Rick, who fixed a broken door of mine and changed my whole family’s life, electricians, painters, wallpaper guy Ed) were all wonderful to work with, and when I tell you that my jaw hit the floor on the day of the final reveal, I’m not overstating the facts. My husband and I moved into our newly built home a few years ago and we had a "mishmosh" of furniture and styles accumulated throughout of the years. We were looking for a way to change the look in our home to make it flow throughout the house. I researched several designers and stumbled upon Evenflow. I called and left a message with Lisa who was quick to reply and schedule an appointment. We met a few days later. Lisa's easy going demeanor and style coupled with her beautiful taste and years of experience made it easy to choose Evenflow as our interior designer. Our experience in working together was a great one. The options Lisa brought to us were like no other. The finished product truly transformed our house into a home, not to mention the quality in the pieces are second to none. Working with Evenflow was not just for a few pieces of furniture, but rather working with a team who has true passion for their work . We couldn't be more happy with Lisa and Evenflow team.

We hired Lisa to design our first floor living space in the fall. She was very organized and really offered us excellent options within our budget. She was sensitive to her he fact that we have small active children and was willing to use some of our existing pieces and integrating them expertly into the new design. We had worked with other designers in the past who were just unable to execute the vision effectively. Lisa’s renditions were almost exactly what the final product was. We were super impressed with her professionalism as well as Rick’s while working in our home and her team is amazing! We were impressed by the fact that we stuck to our intended budget and timeline. We were so thrilled with the final product we will be working with her on future projects for our outdoor space and bedrooms.

So many decisions with building a brand new home it just spins your head around. And if you don’t have the experience you don’t know the mistakes you’re making until it’s too late. We knew how we wanted our house to feel but it was much more complicated than we imagined. I reached out to Lisa after seeing pictures of her work on Houzz and it was one of the best decisions we made. She was our go-to person for all of our choices …..she was awesome to work with and we love the end result. I would choose Lisa every time.

Working with Lisa and Rick was a pleasure. We needed to do a total renovation of our Master Bath so it would be easier for my husband who is handicapped. Lisa, Rick, and I worked very well together. My big concern was that even though we needed a handicapped accessible bathroom, I still wanted it to look pretty and not so obviously handicapped compliant. I think Lisa did a fantastic job designing this for us. Whenever I had a question or idea I felt very heard and respected and I never had to wait long for a return text or call. After sharing all of our ideas together, I felt very comfortable leaving Evenflow Interiors in charge of our project while I went to work. When Rick wasn't doing the work himself, he was here each morning to communicate with the subcontractors making sure our plans were clear to them. At the end of the day, Rick or Lisa (or both) came to check each subcontractor's work. The job finished on time and we are very, very, happy. These are the ADA Compliant changes made: barrier free shower, adjustable height shower head, wheelchair hight sink with lever faucet, 17' tall toilet, attractive grab bars along perimeter walls that double as towel bars.

The very best of the many decisions we made for the major renovation of our waterfront home was hiring Evenflow Interiors. I cannot overemphasize how helpful, professional, detail and action oriented, trustworthy, dependable, and organized Lisa and her team were in every interaction. From the first meeting to the conclusion of the project, Evenflow’s work was impeccable. And the end result is stunning. We LOVE our “new” home. We had completed home renovations in our prior home and had not hired a designer. I wasn’t making that mistake again. I felt as though Lisa truly understood our style and preferences so we hired Evenflow and the project began. We’ve been living in our renovated home for six months now. We LOVE our home and it feels like “us”. Lisa incorporated many of our own pieces with the sumptuous new furnishings and décor. She even found a special place for my grandmother's 19th century lamp, which I've kept hidden away for 20 years because I could never determine how to incorporate it into our coastal décor. Lisa also reupholstered some of our existing furnishings rather than purchasing new which I deeply appreciated for both sentimental and environmental reasons. Lisa fast-tracked so many decisions and saved us an incalculable amount of precious time. Evenflow's work far exceeded our expectations in every way. Our houseguests always gush over how beautifully the décor, colors and textures flow throughout our home. The quality from top to bottom is luxurious and cozy without feeling ostentatious which is PRECISELY what we were striving to achieve! We are overwhelmed with the transformation of our home thanks to the creativity and skill of Lisa Cressman, of Evenflow Interiors. From the moment we started working with Lisa we felt that she understood what we wanted to create in our new home- a sophisticated, warm and beautiful space. After purchasing a new townhouse, I was looking for a designer to help transform the space into a home I would love. Our collaboration with Lisa (and her husband Rick) started about a year ago with a lighting design and implementation project. It soon evolved to a wide ranging collaboration from kitchen backsplash and cabinet lighting; paint color scheme selection; window treatments selection and installation; sourcing and placement of accent pieces and other accessories etc. Lisa is a consummate interior design professional. She excels in understanding the clients needs, preferences and budget and comes up with a range of innovative design solutions. We were always able to provide candid feedback; engage in a discussion and settle on a final outcome that fit our specific needs. Lisa is an expert in her field. She purchases various faux floral's and home accents from us. She is very knowledgeable in regards to the NJ Market Place and what her customers need and want. In turn it makes our job servicing her so much easier!!!!

We found Lisa through Houzz when looking for someone to do interior design work for our new home in Spring Lake. The initial plan was for Lisa to work with our contractor but after a few meetings with Lisa we decided to let her (and her team) manage the entire project...Best. Decision. Ever! Lisa is a pro! My husband and I are super busy with our jobs, on the road all the time, and also balancing our family and two little children. My project is the one titled Victorian Turns Transitional which Lisa completed this past summer. I have known Her for several years and when I finally decided to go ahead with my renovation I had no other person in mind except Lisa. Lisa is awesome. We moved into a house where the master bed and bath had some hideous wallpaper and we needed help picking colors to create the clean, serene vibe we wanted. It was tricky though because both rooms have an abundance of natural light and there is some green marble tile in the master bath. So between the natural light and the green we had to be selective with the colors. Lisa is an expert with colors and showed us how the different shades we picked interact and change with the light. The tones we decided on were exactly what we were looking for and there is a nice flow between the master bed and bath. We couldn’t have done it on our own!

I searched high and low for a designer that "got" me, and found Lisa here on Houzz. It took one meeting for her to totally understand what I wanted, when I wanted it and how much I wanted to spend. She made it 100% easy and the whole process was a joy. After our initial meeting, she did her homework and came back to me with a number of options. Final decisions were made e easy because everything was fabulous. Lisa transformed my modest vision into my dream house, just one of the hallmarks being an amazing accent wall in my living room that her husband installed -- people can't stop oohing and ahhing over it and neither can I. Love it and everything about my new sanctuary. Lisa is a very talented interior designer who listens to her client’s needs and works hard to incorporate their vision into reality within a specific budget. We hired Lisa to design an island & sitting nook in our kitchen. She worked very diligently with us, initially gathering ideas (we shared numerous photos of our vision) and then scheduling a follow up consultation where she shared 3-4 sketches of island designs, fabric choices, furniture options & wall décor. Lisa is easy going, punctual and direct with her consultations and follow-ups. Once we finalized our design choices, Lisa worked with our time-line (we didn’t want to have any major remodel take place during the Summer) and promptly re-scheduled the installation in the Fall. She worked within our budget constrains as we were entertaining potentially changing the floor and suggested versatile options. Lastly, Lisa always guided us into making the right decision, she advised we hold off on floor options until we saw the entire kitchen island design & nook furniture/ wall-décor come together before making the costly floor investment which would have been an additional $10,000. Long story short, we ended up loving the remodel and decided not to upgrade the floor. Lisa is not someone who pushes her clients into hasty decisions for an additional up-sell and has exceptional inner personal skills. I would highly recommend Lisa if you are looking for an honest, talented & affordable designer. I would use Lisa to re-decorate my entire house- if I had the budget to do so!

Before I hired Lisa, I read several articles on how to evaluate an interior designer. Now that I’m planning my third project with her in less than a year, I’ve listed below several examples of problems Lisa helped solve. Lisa’s talent and professional excellence are undeniable. She is also an incredibly down to earth person, asks a ton of insightful questions, accurately estimates and manages a budget, and knows how to get things done. Since most of you will likely only read this paragraph, I’ll say this: Give Lisa a call, discuss your project, and prepare to be really impressed by a really impressive woman. 1. Lisa helped us recover from a huge architectural error when a large addition to our house left several rooms with odd layouts. She designed floor plans that somehow made each space work. Her tricks with paint selections, cabinet colors and creating zones for our large and oddly shaped mud/laundry room were nothing short of magic. I can honestly say my mom and I are in love with the laundry room – which neither of us thought would be possible. 2. She mediated between my parents who have incredibly different design tastes and pulled together jaw-dropping selections of tiles, countertops, cabinets, colors, furniture and accents that somehow they both could miraculously and wholeheartedly agree to. *If your other half would “just not go for a decorator” have them meet Lisa.* 3. Lisa gets things done. We hired her mid-construction and she immediately connected with the head and sub-contractors and even with their preferred vendors. She didn’t push her vendors, but always had a Rolodex available when we needed to find quality people. She adapted into exactly the role we needed her to play. She’s even been our bulldog, dealing with our contractor and subcontractors and pushing for progress and clear timelines. It's such a pleasure to now have her at the beginning of our new projects, which make the process SO much smoother!!! 4. She can effectively deal with difficult people. My dad is obstinate about what he wants, how he wants it, his opinion on cost and whether something is necessary. However Lisa’s straightforward, organized, affordable and reliable demeanor and actions completely won him over. 5. She’s accessible and listens. My mom and I had the best time discussing ideas with Lisa. She was incredibly accessible to our thousands of questions. She truly listened to the ideas and desires of BOTH of my parents. She somehow got my dad to talk about what was important to him despite him repeatedly saying he was only interested in the “structure” of the house and "didn’t care" about design. She found a way to please them both, and I’m still in awe. She also can deal with a full range of ideas from well thought out to half-baked, and hammer them out until it’s feasible, affordable, and executable. 6. She designs for you – not for her. This point may be redundant with #5, but it’s worth saying that me being an engineer I naturally prioritized function over how pretty something looked. What really impressed me about Lisa’s approach was she respected the fact you had to live in the space after it’s all said and decorated. She’s not just designing a space for a pretty picture on Houzz, each design serves a real function. Her walk-throughs, insightful questions, and thoughtful presentations really demonstrated that she listened to us. And because she communicated her design vision so clearly, we could give her critical feedback and reach a consensus on the final design. Lisa is the whole package. I wholeheartedly recommend her for whatever project you’ve got in mind.

I needed to update a medical practice more than 100 miles from my home office. Not knowing anybody in the area I took to the internet for quotes. It began with many contractors not showing up or not taking the project serious. When they did show up it was like pulling teeth to get pricing and it never seemed to match what I was asking for. I was ready to give up but instead changed my approach. I began a new search for an interior decorator with the idea that I’d be stuck doing the work myself. I ran into the same problem as I had with contractors, they’d either not show or never provide me with an estimate. This was until I came across Evenflow Interiors. I scheduled an appointment and met with Lisa. Lisa was very professional and was able to rattle a few numbers off from the top of her head allowing us to develop a budget. Then I learned that Lisa had all of the resources to compete my project including design, painting, carpet installation and construction. We scheduled a follow up Lisa provided me with some great ideas, brought sample materials and color suggestions. A few days later Lisa came back with hard numbers and under budget. She scheduled my project and I gave her a deposit. I knew in advance that the project would be very disruptive and would require we close the office. After looking over things more closely I realized closing would be too costly and not be possible. Having a signed agreement in hand was concerning that I would need to go back to Lisa and ask her to complete the project after hours and on weekends. Although I was very comfortable working with Lisa I knew this her chance to really inflate the costs. Not Lisa. She was very accommodating and the additional costs were minimal as compared to closing the office. Lisa assured me our medical office would be cleaned and ready for business each morning. Everything went smooth. Any delay was a direct result of our adding to the project and or requesting changes. Lisa had every opportunity to take advantage of the situation but was always very fair. Once everything was in place Lisa took to shopping and purchased a number of side tables, pictures and various knickknacks that really brought the project together. We receive complements from patients every day. They love the colors, find the seating to be very comfortable and see the practice as much more professional. Thank you Lisa. Lisa exceeded our expectations with our beautiful new office. We are now referring to it as the sitting room, as the room has transformed into so much more than just an office! She took the time to really understand our style and learn about what we were looking for with this room. Lisa is beyond wonderful beyond words. Her style and talent speaks for itself, just look at her pictures. I will talk more about the experience working with her. I called several other interior designers before I called Lisa. None of them seemed particularly interested in working with me on my project. I had a budget of $7,000 for furniture, design, and decorations for a large 1 bedroom apartment with two extra rooms (music room and mediation room). I got the feeling that the budget is what made them disinterested. I started to get a little bummed and then I called Lisa. She was like a breath of fresh air. I talked to Lisa and she was super excited about the project, she said she could work within any budget. The pricing for her services was also the most straightforward and fair of anyone I talked to. There were three stages to the project. First, she came to the apartment, talked to me about what I wanted to do and what kind of style I like, and she took all her measurements and pictures. Second, she met with my girlfriend and I to show us the floor plan she drew (to scale) and the shopping list for all the furniture. She explained that she and her crew could get all the furniture, bring it in, and set it up, but that if we did it that way, it would leave less room in my budget for paint, decorations, etc. She also said that I could have her guys do the paint (she picked out amazing paint colors for us) but that they are the best and will cost more. She said that my money would go further if we painted ourselves or had a friend that paints. This is the thing I loved most about working with her, I felt like she was on my side the whole time, trying to give me the best bang for my buck. I opted to get all the furniture in myself and had a friend paint to leave more room in the budget for part three. I sent her pictures of all the rooms with the furniture in place. She then went ahead and sourced all the things needed to finish the place, a couple of side tables, lamps, pillows, clocks, plants, and various other decorative items. When she was done sourcing everything she arranged a date for her and her crew to come and finish the place (bring everything in, put it in place or mount it). Experiencing the big reveal was one of the best moments of my life. I am in awe of her work. Everyone that comes over to see the place likes to use the same word, wow. I know what I'm good at and what I'm not. I know good art when I see it, but I'm not an artist. Lisa really is. Hiring her is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Thank you Lisa.
