Rob, and the whole team, was amazing and easy to deal with, particularly in a slightly oddball situation. Communicated well, and the folks who did the install were fantastic. Floors look great, feel great, and are a vast improvement over the carpeting we had prior. Would highly recommend, and absolutely worth it! When we go to need anything else with flooring here, I'll be calling them back.

We just built our forever home at the lake and working with Logs End to determine our needs was an amazing experience. I have very mixed feelings about Logs End. I didn’t want to write a bad review, but I’ve reached my limit. The owner of Logs End, Rob Black, is a nice guy and honest. His wood products are beautiful and good quality. However, he has some serious reliability issues when it comes to follow-up, and the quality of the installation. I must have called Rob at least 50 times over the past six months to get the job finished, and e-mailed him a dozen times. No response to e-mails. It typically takes 5-6 calls to get in contact with him. He’s super agreeable, but there’s no follow-up. Quality issues. See my Google review for pictures as examples. There are more issues than those shown in pictures. Bottom line - maybe purchase his flooring, but find someone else to install it. Or, go to another established Ottawa company (Rome Flooring?) for your work.

Rob promised a refund (goodwill) on a 12K of wood flooring that had over 10% manufacturing defect. Was justified by Rob and he said a refund of $100 was coming. Didn't respond to the over charge of wood vs the actual sq.ft. delivered. Still waiting for that money also, and an answer to why there was so many defects. Contractors said " It's not worth buying #2 flooring, as it just costs more to install" (We paid well over $10 sq,ft.) These contractors have been laying wood floors for 40+ yrs. Also we went through originally with a local store that promoted Logs End. We went to the showroom and Rob ensured us that he would work out the $$$ with the local business, and it was easier for us to work directly with the store in Ottawa. I asked the store/business if Rob followed up with the contract/details. The owners said that after repeated emails, and no responses from Logs End regarding to commission, they wrote them off. Product was Hickory engineered with ash ply for stability. The holes(between the ply) were filled with little toothpick size splinters that got jammed between every joint, because they were falling out. The knots that were filled with a compound (Rob assured us that it was a great product) is falling out of many knots after 20months. The floor sounded like a person was walking on little bubble wrap, the noise in the night would wake one up. Service is questionable as was the product. Recommendation is questionable at best, in dealing with the company.

Our kitchen, dining room and living room were, well very dated to say the least. We did a complete renovation and the yellow birch flooring throughout that was supplied by Logs End is incredible. Family and guests often compliment us on the wonderful improvement to our home. I know the value it provides is not only monetary should we wish to sell but also the sense of pride in ownership has revitalized our love of our home. Thank you Logs End. From selection and comparison to final install from a really nice recommended installer it was a great experience.

Absolutely ecstatic with our floors! they turned out beautiful and everyone raves about how great they look. From purchase right thru to installation everything was extremely professional and seamless. Would highly recommend Logs End to anyone considering wood floors.

Supply of top-quality wide-plank pitch hardwood flooring produced from logs salvaged from the Ottowa River that sank during historic logging operations in the 1800's. Following professional installation of the Logs End materials, we have floors that are the centerpiece of this million dollar home.

Purchased 275 sq.ft. of natural pre finished reclaimed birch. Took three weeks to have the wood cut and finished and delivered. The sales associate (Jason) was very attentive and followed up throughout the process. He even came by after installation to drop off some free promotional items. The delivery was ontime and the product was protected in the truck. The delivery guy was pleasant and took care when bringing the wood into the house. The showroom is out of the way but the salesman took the time to come to the house and do measurements and give advice in the type and colour of wood that would work in our house. We went to the showroom as well and it was well laid out with lots of examples and it helped with our decision. I was referred to Logs End by a coworker and I am super happy that I went with them for my hardwood needs. For us, the main selling point was the fact that the wood is reclaimed from the Ottawa River but the company as well met and exceeded expectations. I will definitely be dealing with them again in the future

Working with the knowledgeable, helpful and charming staff at Logsend in Ottawa when we were looking for quality flooring for a renovated kitchen in our 19th century stone farmhouse was a wonderful experience: the sort of experience that other companies aspire to provide, they were so professional, yet lovely to deal with. With the guidance of the staff, particularly the ebullient Jason, we chose 7" unfinished engineered white oak, reclaimed from an old barn in Western Ontario. The boards were delivered on time, installed with ease, and looked extraordinarily beautiful when finished (we used Rubio Monocoat Hard-wax oil for its old-fashioned look, ease of application, and non-toxic properties). The price was extremely competitive; there are cheaper brands out there, but they just don't have the quality or character of Logsend's woods. We will be building a new home soon, and it's a no-brainer that we will be turning to Logsend when the time comes to choose new floors.

We recently built a cottage and chose to use Logs End Inc. to provide us with beautiful Ottawa River Run Pine Floors and Pine Ceiling wood. We found Jason our sales rep. to be very courteous and helpful. The order arrived on time and later when we needed to order a little more ceiling wood, Rob had the order ready and waiting for us to pickup. I would highly recommend Logs End Flooring.
