Ben and his team did an amazing job updating our home in Lake Wildwood! He is down to earth, knowledgeable, realistic, and did his best to help us get the best results possible with our limited budget. He and his team tore down walls, up-cycled and reconfigured our existing kitchen cabinets, moved our front door, and did a complete remodel of our bathrooms. Great team, quality work, incredible patience and flexibility and reasonable pricing. I only wish we had a bigger budget so he could work more of his magic for us!

Found Ben a little bit by chance and so glad that I did. He did a great job on a small remodel project that I had. Matched the current details of my construction exactly. It looks great. My husband and I worked with Ben at Eclipse Building to remodel our 19th century cottage into our retirement home. I had Ben and his crew work on our Victorian in Nevada City. They lifted the house and replaced the foundation, restored the falling down garage and carriage house. If you want an honest, fair and knowledgeable contractor, he's hard to beat and if you have an old house, he's the one to call.

We hired Ben Lovett of Lovett Building to do a remodel on a house we had purchased in Grass Valley, CA. This was after we had seen the beautiful remodel he had done of a neighbor's house with the same floor plan. The project consisting of removing walls and making a great room which consists of a kitchen, dining, breakfast nook and open living space. Part of the remodel was creating a new fireplace and we found a picture in a magazine of a fireplace we just loved and he exceeded our expectations. Also we gave him pictures of decorative molding we wanted around some of the inside doors and windows and he replicated them perfectly. The end result was a beautiful home that we love. We enjoyed working with him and his craftsmen's crew.

I found Ben on Houzz. There was were three contractors and I decided on Ben, which was the best decision. He understood just what I wanted (he Listened). Not only is very good at what he does, he's trust worthy and a good family man. I trust his worker's also. I've already recommened him to several of my friend's.

Benjamin Lovett called and ordered professional photography services from our company. He didn't show up for the scheduled appointment and the facility wasn't clean. Our photographer had to leave as he had other appointments booked. Mr Lovett then called to reschedule the appointment and when he found out he was going to be billed for the appointment he didn't show up to, he was very rude and refused to pay. This is not someone I would trust with doing work on my home or properties. Buyer Beware. /EDIT Lovett Building left untrue and retaliatory review. Unprofessional, doesn't take responsibility for their actions and is abusive.

Honest, hard working, problem solver, and overall great guy. Helped me with a home renovation project, both hands on and by suggesting and organizing subcontractor work. Offered alternative ideas based on cost and effect. Will be in contact with him in the future for any other small or large projects. Thanks again Ben.

Being new to the area, I found Lovett Building by pure chance. I assumed I'd have to meet several contractors before finding a match. Not so! Ben Lovett can handle everything from design to digging, foundations to fancy, paint to plumbing. But beyond being a capable creative contractor, Mr. Lovett has ideas and vision. I was embarking on a total remodel of a shabby 1940's miners cabin, and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing! And yet, I knew a lot about how I wanted it to feel in the end. So I needed a very patient builder who was also an astute listener. And naturally, I also needed someone honest, hard working and communicative. Lovett Building met all these needs, in addition to all the basics: accountable, thorough, and stayed within budget and timeline. The process (1 year) was fun and interesting, and I am now living in my dream home. Could not be happier!
