I hired Specialty Crafters to create built-ins in my livingroom and custom cabinetry and banquets in my kitchen and I couldn't be more delighted with the results. Not only was the craftsmanship of the work was impeccable, but they were a delight to work with.

Terrific communication and craftsmanship - well-executed job done on time and on budget for a very quirky, old (1830) house / kitchen. Problems and issues were anticipated so they could be addressed at the outset saving lots of time and money.

We contacted this company after admiring the bookcases Len had made for a friend of ours. We asked him to build custom, free-standing shelves to cover a wall, creating a library effect in a 1920s apartment with crown moldings. He gave us a clear estimate; did beautiful, clean work; came in on time. His advice about materials and dimensions was very helpful.

Len was fantastic to work with! He took our vision and made it come to life. He was very easy to get in touch with and installed the unit in a timely matter. We need a little bit of touch up work done and he came right out to do it! Will certainly use Len in the future

We purchased a house that needed massive renovations, including a complete gutting and redesign of the kitchen. We removed 2 walls to open the floor plan, moved an outside door to the porch, and relocated all appliances. We had ideas of what we wanted, but Len worked with us to design a highly functional workspace that met all of our needs and wants. He asked us questions about how we use our kitchen and what's important to us, he listened to our answers, and he gave us a plan that matched what we were looking for. He worked within our budget constraints and completed the project on time and on budget. He was very easy to work with, and I found his pricing to be as good as or better than other providers that I considered. We are thrilled with our new kitchen, and now that we've been using it for several months, we wouldn't change a thing. I highly recommend Len for any custom kitchen or other cabinet design and manufacturing.

Len Rerek was wonderful. He did a great job in renovating our kitchen from conception to completion. Always prompt, friendly and open to our creative ideas. He never minded our dumb questions or requests. Perhaps most importantly he quoted one unwavering price. I can't recommend him highly enough. We constantly receive comments about how beautiful the kitchen is.

Specialty Crafters exceeded my expectations. We got great suggestions, ideas, and, ultimately, beautifully crafted cabinets. We highly recommend Specialty Crafters without hesitation.

Cabinets/shelves were cubes cobbled together with plywood (not a crafted/dove-tailed/rabbited high-end box) - crooked shelves and bent/warped doors - definitely not craftsman-quality work, and measurements were completely off, and items did not fit in field. The product we did keep (he refused to re-do) is getting worse warping after only a couple of months. Not painted/stained the color we wanted - he was unable to do it and we had to compromise. Items were promised in 6 weeks, and finished and delivered in 4 months! Items arrived damaged, which we refused and asked to be rebuilt - they were redelivered months later "bandaged" with putty, instead of replaced. I would not recommend install by Specialty Crafters - they did not take the time to plumb walls, fill gap space, clean floors, ensure secure install, etc. Terrible customer service - extremely rude. No warranty on work/product. Unprofessional and terrible quality on every level.

We have worked with Len Rerek and Specialty Crafters for probably a dozen years at this point. He built gorgeous bookcases and cabinetry for our old apartment, which sold in a weekend when we put it on the market. We even excluded some of these from the sales contract, just so that we could reinstall them in our new home. Len has since created additional built-ins for our new place, including a gentleman's armoire for the master bedroom, a great shoe closet, and an ingenious pull-out cabinet for an awkward space in the master bath. He has also remodeled some already existing bookcases here to be much more beautiful and functional. Len is particularly gifted at turning my ideas and rudimentary sketches into handsome, and handsomely finished, pieces that work incredibly well and that look absolutely natural in their settings. I have lots more ideas, so don't keep him too busy!

It is rare to find a woodworker who is also a trained and effective engineer. Len took on a tricky set of tasks, engineered some unusual solutions and produced a beautiful kitchen.

Len at Specialty Crafters build the most amazing kitchen cabinets for me! I asked for some very specific parts, like an appliance garage, a cabinet that my mixer was lowered down into when not in use, spice cabinets and Len was able to incorporate all of this into a well thought out design. I also needed my counters to be at waist height due to back issues and Len measured my waist and made all of our cabinets so they are comfortable for me to use. It is a dream kitchen and Len at Specialty Crafters made all the difference in making it a personal, beautiful kitchen!

Len made the cabinets for my kitchen and so much more. His eye for detail and determination to make the most of every space was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure that the finished look was perfect and to be sure that we had the best materials and they were used in the smartest way. The detail on our kitchen was complicated, requiring large sheets of walnut to be labeled and sequenced in order to create a seamless finish. Len made this vision a reality and we love it.
