Make Room

If you have found Make Room, don't look any further. Barbara and Jiaqi designed a great interior for our 3-room HDB. They will also tell you nicely if you have a stupid design idea, and provide an alternative if possible. We really appreciated that. They also put in quite some effort before any contract was signed, in particular discussing in depth our wishes and coming down to the appartment to check the existing wires, pipes, etc. We had a tight timetable, and they pulled it off in time. Our designer on site was Jiaqi, who did a truly remarkable job throughout, not only in terms of design, but also in organizing and overseeing the construction works, purchases, installations, etc. Also, the after sale service was prompt and hazzle-free. I had the pleasure of working with a Barbara and the Make Room team on two projects the last few months. Office: my company moved from a serviced office to a shophouse - big change for us. We received proposals/bids from two other designers, and the Make Room proposal was the clear winner. Barbara understood what we wanted aesthetically and functionally. She's got a great eye and our office looks fantastic. The small touches make a huge difference fromthe orange accent wall in our break room to the photographers on the wall. Not to mention the major remodel of our toilets/ pantry that brought that area into the 21st century. Must be mentioned - we have a difficult corporate landlord and her team dealt with them very well and minimised what could have been a huge headache for us. Condo: my husband and I moved into a condo that is 3-4x bigger than the one we lived in previously. we basically had no furniture and are expecting our first childso wanted help making this new place home. Again, Barbara has done a great job choosing for the place - things we'd never think of like a black accent wall behind ceiling high teak bookshelves. We are almost finished and I really love the space. When we move next, we will definitely call Barbara to help us again! Would like to note that the Make Room team and the Contractors that Barbara works with are very professional and nice to be around. Important considering we were welcoming everyone into our home in the case of our condo, and also liaising for sometime on the office.

It is always a pleasure to work with them, the team is young ,dynamic and professional.Communicating with them is efficient and easy. They have a wealth of great ideas and are very creative. I would highly recommend them.

It was only after we signed the lease that my wife and I went into a semi-panic. We didn’t own any furniture, at least not within 5,000 miles. Then it dawned on me that I didn’t want to do the move alone. This is where Audrey saved the day! I first met Audrey on the phone and after a long chat and a good look at her portfolio she won us over. She loves using color in her designs and works with an eclectic mix of furniture that won’t break the bank. When she showed us her ideas we loved them. Getting off on the right foot with design was a good start but picking all the furniture was what really set Audrey’s service apart. Audrey took us all over Singapore to industrial areas where there are large furniture distributors that we never could have found ourselves. Audrey actually paid for her services with the savings we got on the furniture we bought. We could never have done so well if we tried to do this alone. We touched, sat-on and looked at everything we bought and really love it all. When the move in day arrived we were ready. Our apartment had enough furniture to make it livable and her painter did a fabulous job of changing the colors on a few of our walls. So here’s what Audrey did for us. She was indispensable in picking colors and furniture. She was flawless in helping us get deliveries and organizing the move in. Then she was conscientious in following up after things arrived to see how it all went together. Finally she was fastidious and came over with her handymen and placed and hung all of the art and gave us more ideas on how to make our home more beautiful. So we have a great new apartment, and did it without the pain thanks to Audrey

Barbara from Make Room was amazing to work with. She was very helpful in providing ideas based on what my partner and I wanted in our studio. We like the minimalistic and Scandinavian theme with a touch of our theme color in our studio that she brought to life. Everyone who walks in our studio feels at home and loves the decor. The designers at Make Room have a keen eye for design, especially in the eclectic scandinavian style. We hired them in 2015 to design our 110square metres apartment in collaboration with our contractor, and wanted their help to make our place 'light and airy'. Not only did their design help us to achieve the light and airy look, it also added character to our space, through the use of soft furnishings. We also didnt know that soft furnishings were the key to achieving a cosy but light & airy look, and nearly went with the conventional false ceilings our neighbours and friends were doing. We are still personalising our space but Make Room has given us a great palette to work on!
