We worked with Maple Valley Design Build on the redesign and renovation of our primary residence following a house fire. We contracted first on the design, reconfiguring the layout to include a separate in-law unit on the ground floor, an additional bath and a redesigned master suite and office. Kevin and Greg helped us assess the cost/benefit of numerous upgrades we were considering, allowing us to maximize our budget. We also selected Maple Valley for the reconstruction, based on their reputation for quality, a competitive estimate and ability to complete the project in our timeframe. Kevin was great at managing the project and keeping it on track, providing weekly updates and detailed walkthroughs at critical points. Coordination of subcontractors was also excellent. Overall, we were very happy with the rebuild; we got all the upgrades we desired and we came in under budget. We have to give Maple Valley credit for being flexible and working with our existing footprint and framing. Maple Valley Design Build was excellent, ably leading us through the process of creating a quality custom home. Greg Boshart had a thoughtful and skilled approach in all project phases from design to construction. His top priority is building a home that meets the specific priorities and hopes of the client with an eye to good architecture. Greg clearly articulates the pros, cons, and considerations of various decisions and is open to discussing alternative ideas and fine-tuning the design. The Project Manager, Jeff Paul, worked closely with us on our energy efficiency goals, ardently overseeing the insulation and air sealing aspects which resulted in a tight envelope and an Energy Star certified zero net energy home. Jeff was committed to working through build options and solutions and proposed some novel ideas that gave our home a few special finishing touches. There were some challenges around project budgeting and management, though MVDB worked with us in a transparent and sincere manner to address any concerns. The build team was wonderful – kind, hard-working, tidy, with professional carpentry expertise and a genuine attention to detail.

We employed MVD to build a sun room over our existing deck and met with Greg Boshart to discuss this project and costs . His design, time line and costs met with our budget and approval and the project commenced. He had a very professional project mgr and crew who appeared when promised, answered questions, returned calls in a timely manner and completed the project within days of their promised completion date. We would certainly use them again and recommend MVD to friends. A job well done.

Outstanding design and construction work at the highest level. The scope of my antique farmhouse project grew with each new discovery (rot, mold, poor previous construction) but the crew at Maple Valley Desin Build took it all in stride. Excellent finished project well above my expectations.

Maple Valley Design Build did a wonderful job getting our house back together after a bad leak wrecked the inside of the house mostly due to mold damage. The house was gutted to the studs on the inside and completely rebuilt. We also took the time to add some space. The work was top notch and the people he has working for him are wonderful. I am handy and could have done most of the work myself if I had time. I did what I could to save myself some money (plumbing, electrical) and Greg was great at being flexible enough so I could get in some sweat equity. He is very responsive and committed to making certain the work is done right. Any issues with the project arose because there were times I could not be on site for extended periods and the work needed to go on without me. If there was anything I didn't like (aesthetics, not quality) he made it right straight away.

Maple Valley handled the renovation of my retail store in Manchester Village. Very easy to work with, helped us stay within budget, and most importantly, great craftsmanship and attention to detail. Recommended.

We did an extensive renovation including a large kitchen, butler's pantry, mudroom, and laundry room, new storm doors and new garage doors with the addition of an eyebrow above. As everyone knows, renovations can be stressful and I can attest to that as this is the third home I have renovated. I have never before worked with a contractor/designer who is as patient, talented, responsive, attentive, and honest as Greg (and his team). I am a hands-on person and Greg welcomed me intto the design process at every turn. As with most renovations there can be unwanted surprises, but Greg is a problem-solver and a clever one at that. I went through at least 5 local contractors before I found Greg (on Houzz!). All the others went on about how challenging and problematical my project was; only Greg was undaunted and had the vision as to how to marry form and function. Here's the proof of my vote of confidence: we have a few other projects in the wings and Maple Valley is the only company I will work with!! I am hoping that those reading this will take the time to check his website to see the final product. Pictures should be up in early spring 2017.

the combined services of architecture and construction were a true plus. Very willing to work with building restrictions of a condo. Willing to work within a budget. High quality results.

We looked at homes for over a year and finding nothing that we liked we decided to add on a wing to our existing 70's vintage home. After hand scratching a basic design we interviewed a couple of contractors and chose Maple Valley. Greg, Maple Valley owner, then took our design, put it on cad and after just a couple of meetings, change suggestions and budget reviews we contracted for the construction. We were not around for the first part of the project but Greg furnished photos and provided updates of project progression. We made very few changes to the original plans but did have them change out all existing windows in the house. We were present for the last third of the project and I must say his men were superb. Fastidious and personable. The workmanship was excellent. The project went over budget but that was our doing. My criticisms during the project were related to one main vendor and one sub. The vendor made several stupid, expensive window and cabinet mistakes but Greg handled it with them and corrections were made at the vendors expense. Also the electrical sub disappeared for two weeks during hunting season. Annoying but it did not hold up the project and Greg was very apologetic. My wife and I were very pleased with the final result and we would hire Greg and his team again, no question.

Maple Valley was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did our project come out looking fabulous, but it came in under budget as well. A real professional, design and build company.
