We had a 100 year old home with many quirks. Marie completely redesigned our main level incorporating a powder room. We were really impressed with her attention to deal. She also advocated for us when dealing with our contractor. We are extremely pleased with the final result and can't recommend her enough!

We found Marie at Studio M through Houzz. We talked to and evaluated quite a few architects but in the end, after meeting with Marie, we knew that she would be the right fit for our project. We purchased a 90's, builder-grade home and felt that we could really overhaul it and make it our own. Marie helped us change the layout of the main floor and second story. In fact, I think only 1 room in the entire house stayed the same. In the end, we relocated a kitchen, removed walls, added widows, moved the laundry room, and added a bathroom and reconfigured the basement. Wasted space was made purposeful and the overall layout of the home was made to flow with the idea of a growing family in mind. Marie was excellent at balancing form and function from an architectural and design standpoint to give us the updated, functional, and thoughtful space we needed. Marie was efficient with her time and really got things rolling and completed quickly which helped keep us on track. Communicating with Marie was easy via text, phone, email, video conference and in person. She LISTENED to what we needed and gave us options in drawing form that made it easy for us to evaluate and come to a decision on. We would recommend Marie to anyone who needs the help of an architect/designer. She was excellent to work with, easy to bounce ideas off of, and overall a PROFESSIONAL! Thanks for your work Marie!

Marie was wonderful to work with, and helped us every step of the way. She completed drawings for a house reno project (kitchen, living room, bathroom). We were in a serious time crunch and she worked hard to get us drawings quickly. After starting the project we decided to make some changes to the layout which required a structural engineer in order to get city approval. Marie reaches out to her contacts and we were able to get the house completed and on time for our Christmas deadline. I am so happy we chose to work with her. She’s very professional, knows her stuff and is always quick to respond. Would highly recommend!

Working with Studio M and Marie Marx in particular was a joy from beginning to end . Marie oversaw a significant project including a complete kitchen renovation and addition to second story to transform a small master bedroom into a master suite complete with a sitting room, dressing room and high end four piece ensuite. Marie designed the changes, drew the plans, obtained the building permit, hired the contractor, oversaw the construction, chose the materials and finally completed the interior design. Amazing professional. Considering the size and scope of the project, there were very few glitches and Marie adeptly handled any that did arise. One year later we still love the renovation and would change nothing. I cannot recommend Studio M highly enough to anyone looking to work with a skilled, talented professional with a keen sense of design.
