We interviewed many designers and found Mark was the most informative especially when it comes to environmentally conscious design and advice. My husband and I hired Mark to design our home restroom addition and Mark exceeded all expectations. He knew exactly what to ask to understand our vision and provided valuable advice during the process. As new home owners we truly appreciated the expertise he was able to provide. After design, Mark submitted all plans to the City and they were approved much quicker than expected. Mark is very professional, and responded promptly to every communication. My wife and I looked long and hard for a designer for the ambitious home addition and remodel we started planning several years ago before we finally found Mark Greenwald and GCC Designs, but we sure are glad we did. Mark was a pleasure to work with at every step along the way. He always brought a great deal of courtesy and professionalism to the process of redesigning our home. He did what he said he would do, had lots of great ideas, and listened carefully to us to make sure he understood our needs. His pricing was always fair, and there were never any nasty surprises. There was a lot of back and forth, which is normal, before we got our new floor plan just right, but we couldn’t be more happy with the way it turned out. Once we locked the plan, Mark sent the drawings to his engineer, and before you knew it we were ready to submit for plan check and permitting. In our case, the plans had to go to the city and then the county. The city permit tech told me he’d never seen better plans for an initial submittal, and he approved them right away. The county asked for some minor tweaks, which Mark took care of quickly, and as soon as we submitted those, they were also approved. Now we’re in the middle of the addition/remodel, and it’s wonderful to see the plan coming to life. We hope to post a follow up when we have before and after photos available, which should be some time in 2024. We highly recommend Mark Greenwald and GCC Designs. You couldn’t be in better hands.

Mark was referred to us by a friend who had used GCC for a garage addition. Mark designed a wonderful ADU that made the best use of our limited space. Mark was incredible when it came to our home design. We had a full renovation plus an addition to our home. Mark was patient and helpful even when we had a major design change from a two story addition to a one story addition. Mark walked us through the design process and the permit process. I've always have used Mark as my contractor and he has transitioned to doing Design / Plans etc. so in my current remodel I used him again to create the detailed plans for use by my new contractor as well as plans required for permits. I know Mark has done a lot of work as a contractor and in the city and he knew exactly what was needed and my plans were approved straight away ... in this time of COVID the last thing you want is for your plans to go back and forth with the city with the known delays. Mark did a great job!!
