We had a great experience with Danmar and Martha. Martha spent a lot of time with us in Danmar's offices walking through all of the cabinet options, not just in terms of style and material and "levels" (custom vs. semi-custom vs. various brands), but also organization, sizing, layout, hardware, and inserts. She was happy to answer questions via email and was always very responsive. After everything was finalized and before the final order was placed, Martha came out to our house to double-check all the measurements done by our kitchen designers and contractors. She had some great recommendations which we took. We went with Crystal semi-custom cabinets and they look absolutely amazing, are exactly the vision we were going for, and we get tons of compliments from everyone who has come to see our new kitchen. They feel sturdy and are high quality.

Martha was a pleasure to work with. She worked closely with our contractor (Genuine Kitchen and Bath) and us to come up with custom cabinets to met our needs. She helped us fine tune what we really wanted and needed in our kitchen and made some game-changing suggestions when we were stuck on certain parts of the design. She was clear about when things were recommended vs. when we needed to trust her experience and knowledge and go with her idea. One of the best things Martha had us do during the design process was to think about the “zones” of our kitchen and how each area would be used. Based on her suggestion, I planned out where everything would go in the kitchen. This helped her as she designed the spaces that needed drawers vs. cabinets, etc. And it helped us think through where we would store the supplies for our daughter, who has some allergies, to help avoid cross-contamination. It also made the eventual move-in process really efficient - because I knew exactly where everything went. We love our new kitchen cabinets - the quality, the style, the look and the functionality. A few of our favorite things… the 90 degree corner cabinet, the half-susan pull-out shelves, the deep drawers and our absolute favorite…the drawer that holds our garbage and recycling bins! I highly recommend Danmar for your cabinet needs. Martha and her team were thorough, responsive, professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

Browsing houzz.com, I became aware of all the new improvements that occurred through the years to update a home today. Houzz.com was full of important new ideas for todays kitchen and baths. Finding cabinets I admired offered by a company right where I lived was a stroke of luck! I paid a visit and during my interview I received a recommendation for a trusted general contractor. I know this is approaching my home renovation a little backwards but it was certainly serendipity for me. I felt an instant bond with MARTHA VEGA of Danmar Cabinet Company. Talking with her, I saw a very engaged woman who knew immediately what my ideas were and the type of cabinetry I would desire. While visiting her showroom, I discovered so many new and beautiful sinks and countertops. For me, it was almost one-stop shopping as everything I needed could be seen in one place. Space, who needs more storage space? During our interview, Martha made preliminary sketches of my small kitchen and baths which were last remodeled in 1970 before we moved in. She came out later to take exact measurements at my home and had a better idea of where we could fine additional storage space. Because I was taking out a wall between the stove and kitchen dining area, I was losing cabinets where a large, more powerful exhaust hood would hang in place. Martha was able to plan placements of more cabinets in another area. I had cabinets and a pantry built around an older 32-inch refrigerator and Martha was able to reconfigure the space for a counter depth 36-inch stainless steel refrigerator. A full size microwave oven was taking up space on the counter and I was able to find a microwave drawer which she placed under the counter adjacent to the refrigerator. Martha was always full of ideas and suggestions to make the kitchen special. She was so encouraging and open, I slipped into emailing and asking her opinion on so many other subjects of which I was unsure, such as light fixtures, tub/shower surround, bathroom hardware, and wall/ceiling paint colors. Martha is constantly supportive and will make recommendations if you’re unsure of your choices and always replies instantly to all your emailed questions. She double checks all your orders and follows through from placement of orders to their arrival in your home. MARTHA VEGA of Danmar Cabinet Company does sell wonderful cabinetry for all your needs but you may not realize that she is also an excellent Kitchen and Bath Designer as well. I've worked with Martha and the Danmar Cabinet Company twice. My first kitchen remodel was in 1999. Martha helped with the design and gave me advice on types of cabinets and even the appliances. I loved my kitchen for 20 years! We decided to update the kitchen again in 2020. Martha came over and helped us and the contractor design the elements we wanted to change. She had a great idea about how to expand the kitchen and to use some of the existing cabinets. We even added a pantry and sliding drawers for pots and pans and rearranged things to create a nice peninsula. Martha was there every step of the way ensuring the we had the right cabinets and the right measurements for the contractor with fantastic ideas on how to achieve our kitchen remodel goals. Danmar is the best!

Martha at Danmar cabinets is a true professional when it comes to cabinetry design. She guided me through all the intricate details of the design process. Martha came to our home to not only measure, but to get a sense for our style, and understanding for what we wanted from our remodel. After spending time at her showroom and picking out finishes, she submitted drawings, and was always willing to make revisions as needed. She is very responsive and knowledgeable. What we received in the end was exactly what I had envisioned. The cabinets arrived on time, in perfect condition, and the installation was seamless because they were designed correctly. We are thrilled with the quality of the cabinets and the end result. We had also asked her to look at another job which she didn't think was appropriate for her firm, but referred us to another sub-contractor which was very helpful and appreciated. After visiting several other local cabinet stores, we found Danmar and I'm so glad we did! The cabinets came in a reasonable time, Covid permitting, allowing us the time for demo and prep for the new cabinets. Martha helped us design our newly renovated kitchen and she was amazing! She used software to help create the layout, precise cabinet placement, cabinet types, etc. She showed us 3D renderings, and helped select accessories (like a trash/recycling/compost pull out cabinet, lazy susan, and pull out drawers). Our kitchen turned out even better than we ever imagined, and it surely would have had shortcomings if it wasn't for Martha's help on the precise design. I imagine most cabinet vendors don't assist with the design as much as Danmar, and it was a huge benefit for us.

We had a good experience working with Martha at Danmar and have referred her to a few friends - she is very knowledgable and was able to outline our options in an efficient manner. We gave her photos of a few things we had in mind for some built-in shelving and wine hutch and she was able to design some cabinetry to match what we wanted. When there were a few issues with our order at installation time, she corrected the problems in a timely way. We are very happy with our cabinets. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just asked Martha to design the entire kitchen after we picked our appliances instead of paying a designer to do it, which in retrospect, was a waste of money. Through Danmar, we got our kitchen, pantry, wine hutch, living room, bathroom and laundry room cabinets so it was a big project and everything turned out great.

We contracted with Martha, of Danmar Cabinet Co., last year when we renovated our 80 year-old kitchen. We had spoken with several other cabinet companies before selecting Danmar. Martha helped me design a built-in hutch for my 1926 California Spanish home’s dining room. She provided thoughtful, experienced help so that we were able to strike a balance in styles that made sense, was practical and looked original. The cabinets are high- quality and worked perfectly in the limited space. She also provided references for a carpenter who was fantastic! The hutch looks fantastic. I’d definitely use them again for cabinetry.

I worked with Martha. She is a professional, knows her business well and could offer me exactly what I wanted. I remodeled two bathrooms (one powder, one master) and added cabinetry to convert a bedroom to a TV room/sewing room. In the master bathroom I made an impulsive vanity purchase (elsewhere) and hated it once it was installed. Martha rescued me and got me what I wanted, quickly. She made suggestions for my countertop that turned out to be perfect (I had my doubts, but she was right and I'm glad I listened to her). I can't say enough about her, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We reconfigured the space and replaced everything -- cabinets, appliances, etc. This wasn't a fun project for me, but more an excruciatingly painful process of making a million decisions and hoping the end result turned out okay. Martha was OUTSTANDING. Martha guided me on which choices mattered, aspects my designer hadn't thought about, and optimized for quality and value. Martha even pointed out areas I could save money. The project came in on time and budget. There was one manufacturer delay, and Martha was proactive and thoughtful in partnering on it. When our contractor had a question about installation, Martha was always available and proactive in ensuring that the issue was well resolved. This was an aspect I wouldn't have understood the importance of earlier. I'm deeply thankful for Martha's above and beyond customer service. We will absolutely work with Martha again on future projects. It's been about a year, and we remain thrilled with our selections and the quality of the cabinetry. Martha was extremely helpful in working out the details for my planned dressing room/master bath remodel. Because my house has little storage, I was interested in making use of every available space. Martha suggested modifications that would enable me to use standard cabinets to keep the cost down and still efficiently fill the space. We have been planning and saving for our home remodel for several years, so finding the right partner to help us with our kitchen and bathroom design was critical. DanMar Cabinetry was recommended to us and once we sat down and talked to Martha we knew we found exactly the right partner. Martha's expertise helped us navigate all the hard choices to selecting cabinetry that would provide the best value in terms of high quality product at a reasonable cost. Our new kitchen is very large and Martha helped me design a space that is gorgeous yet super functional. Her knowledge of cabinetry is impressive and we learned a great detail about the manufacturing, product materials, paint, etc. which helped us make decisions that we felt extremely comfortable about. I appreciated that upfront she asked me many questions re how I like to work in my kitchen and what didn't work well in my old kitchen to help guide my selection. I also appreciated that she had many opportunities to upsell me but instead helped me stick to my budget. We already had a master bathroom design but when I showed the plan to Martha she immediately said, "we can do much better!" and sure enough she took the time to create a new plan that we preferred a thousand times over and really she didn't need to do that. Having worked with Martha years ago when I lived in the Bay Area doing two different homes kitchens and baths I became spoiled. I relocated to San Diego and we were going to redo the kitchen so I went to many kitchen shops in San Diego and we were not happy with the designs that were being shown to us so I decided to call Martha and see if she would fly down to San Diego to help us design are kitchen, and to our delight she did fly down and came up with a great design and great quality cabinets, that were delivered in December. The contractor was very happy with all the little things she added like a cut back drawer for the outlet in the island, and all the appliances just slid into there perfect sized hole. The best one was the cabinet for the built in mille coffee maker with all the custom venting required it fit and works perfect. I cant say enough about how great Martha and Danmar made our project come out so perfect.

We are in the middle of a big kitchen addition/remodel. The largest expense, outside of the construction, is cabinetry. I spoke with 6 different cabinet shops to get quotes and information. With bids from $40k to $15k, I was completely lost. I had worked with Danmar on my last remodel (17 years ago), and hoping to find my way I emailed Martha. She got the ball rolling via email with the details I could provide (many shops insisted I come in in person before answering even the simplest of questions). Her response was quick and completely professional. When I met her in person to go over the details she was patient and informative. I was instantly impressed with the thoughtfulness of her design and the proposed pricing. When it came time to order our cabinetry, Martha quickly turned around our final plans and got our order to the manufacturer. We'll receive our cabinets in a few weeks, and I have no worries that they will be just right, and if they are not that Martha's amazing service will take care of it. Working with Danmar has been a real pleasure in the stress of our construction.

Both Dan and Martha are excellent designer who I would trust to design a project for my own home. As you look at their pictures please note the attention to detail, material paring and overall design aesthetic. When doing a kitchen or bath you need someone with this level expertise.

Danmar did our kitchen cabinets. Martha was great to work with. She came to the house and helped design the kitchen to fit my own personal needs. She is pleasant, knowledgeable and so very very easy to work with. She know everything about kitchens so she was able to help us with appliances, backsplash, and countertops. I would hire Danmar again, and again.
