Our firm worked with Maureen on a new shingle style residence in Edina, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience we had with her! The design ideas that she brought to the table were unique and well thought through, with great cohesiveness throughout the entire home. Maureen listened extremely well and was very collaborative, and the selections were perfect for the clients tastes. Everyone involved was beyond thrilled with the outcome. This project was the Dream Home in the 2012 Fall Parade of Homes in the Twin Cities. I worked with Maureen after she was recommended by a friend. She assured me that Maureen had been a great help to her. I mainly needed an objective eye about my decorating style and some advice about how to freshen up my rooms. I asked her about the living room and family room mainly and she immediately suggested some new paint to cozy things up. She was great about suggesting the right colors for my space and she even recommended a very good and reliable painting company. The rooms turned out beautiful. She also gave me fabulous advice about simple things that I could change in order to update the look and feel of the rooms. I purchased new lamps, moved some furniture around and found some additional decorating items that she advised me to get. She is very pleasant to work with is, and is very knowledgeable. She understood my needs and respected my personal style while at the same time offering me a fresh and unique perspective. We have worked with Maureen, owner of Mint on several occasions. We asked her to help us redo our living room and dining room after a major remodel. She asked many questions and her assessment was right on..."let's make these two rooms happy." She selected the colors, the fabrics, recommended furniture and, together, we created two new rooms. Folks come over and they automatically say two things about the rooms...they are happy and peaceful. Sweet. Maureen is so knowledgeable, inquisitive about space and needs of the people living in the space, and her sense of color and fabrics is right on.

She listens to her clients and incorporates your ideas--gently guides you against your "bad" ideas and best yet--if there is anything that you find personal and want to incorporate into your room design she does it with class. Maureen Haggerty has helped us on 2 projects in 2 different homes: a 100 year old Arts & Crafts home and a new townhouse. She has an extraordinary sense of color. She creatively interpreted our ideas & preferences for tile, rugs, artwork, upholstery, paint, etc. She worked within our budget; more than once we asked her to search further for an alternative that was less expensive. She never failed us! Maureen has excellent subcontractors. Each is a true master of his/her craft. We had a Stickley love seat and sofa reupholstered and bookshelves & cabinets custom built. Beautiful! She managed the projects as a general contractor. Tile was removed, an electrician completed his work, then tiling resumed - - always seamlessly without delays. We have only positive comments about Maureen & her work.
