Max skillfully crafted a stunning, low maintenance backyard landscape that is balanced in color, form and scale using quality materials. I appreciated his professionalism, creativity and knowledge. It was a pleasure to work with him throughout the design and installation parts of this project which he completed within budget. I'm totally happy with my new yard and I would not hesitate to work with him again.

Max implemented and installed the landscaping plan for our island home. We were very pleased - not only with the work but with Max, himself, and his employees. Max is punctual, flexible, detail-oriented and thorough. Many things stand out about his work - two I will name here are his willingness to work with and stay within a budget and secondly, is his creative eye. We will hire him again.

Max immediately understood what we were trying to accomplish and quickly designed a beautiful solution for our challenging hillside. It is a lovely, year-round green and low maintenance approach that fits our property, our neighborhood and our life style while also maximizing native plants. We are very happy with his design and thoroughly enjoyed working with him.

My husband and I hired Max Illman to design the hardscape and softscape for our new home. We found Max to be smart, knowledgeable, and very responsive to our schedule, budget, and landscape desires (including the need for drainage mitigation). His ultimate design for a modern, low-maintenance landscape was both creative and practical; and we couldn't be happier with his plant recommendations. I highly recommend Max Illman Landscape Design.
