My husband + I reached out to Moira Breen of Maynard Design + Architecture after we had spent years and unfortunately, a lot of money working with another architect on renovation plans for our house. We hired Moira because her strength, in our opinion, was not making a home bigger to get what you needed, but to be creative in the space that already exists. Moira was thoughtful in her approach, and redesigned our entire first floor living space while always respectful of our budget. We have an amazing new mudroom, laundry room, family room with built ins and the most beautiful kitchen I could have ever imagined! The flow has improved dramatically and everyone has commented on how our house seems the same, just "better". To us, that is the best compliment we could have hoped to receive! We highly recommend Moira and everyone at MD+A to anyone in need of an honest, intelligent and talented architect.

Maynard Design helped us renovate our kitchen, mudroom, master bath and closet in 2014. We couldn't be happier with the entire process: concept stage was detailed and thoughtful, while follow-through and execution were impeccable and timely. Nick is a very thoughtful architect, with a creative vision that adheres to the style of the house. He respected our Victorian architecture but added a distinctly fresh, modern feel to each room. He can see the big picture but also focuses on creative and fun solutions and is laser-focused on client satisfaction. He was on-site regularly to ensure our contractors were executing the plans as he envisioned. Libby & Moira add to this already complete package with their impeccable interior design taste and vision. Their assistance in selecting fixtures, marble and cabinets was invaluable.

I worked with Nick while employed for Marvel Construction Inc. out of Waltham, MA; a high-end residential construction and remodeling contractor. He drew all of the plans for a large, multi-phase project in Brookline, MA. Nick did an outstanding job on the design of a beautiful kitchen, mudroom, powder room, master suite, laundry room and a large deck. The finished product was nothing short of magazine quality work; in design, layout and finishes. I highly recommend Nick Maynard and his firm.

Nick helped us renovate our home a few years ago. We knew we wanted to stay in our home long-term, and although our needs were straightforward and tastes simple, we were quite particular in having our home done "just right."
