I have hired many painters in the past but always had issues with quality, scheduling, communication and attitude. Until I found Muffy and David Barden. They have assembled a team that does an impeccable job. As a designer I also value their combined input on what materials will give the best result on a project not to mention they have and impeccable taste. Muffy doesn't just take orders but makes great suggestions outside of just painting, e.g. taking down a wall. She thinks of the big picture and improving value versus just slapping paint on a wall. Amazing service, professionalism, and outstanding results is pretty hard to come by these days but Muffy and her crew deliver all that and so much more! The client had requested we get several estimates before deciding on a painter. From the beginning, Muffy stood out as attentive, passionate and reliable. Some estimates were less, some were more but we felt like we could trust Muffy to help the client through the process and get the job done on time with short notice and a tight schedule. We shared our budget with her and she offered various estimates with options to find some savings where possible while still focusing on quality and long term value. Muffy and her team are worthy of a 5 Star rating. From the initial appointment, to the bid process, to the actual work being completed, in such a timely fashion that my clients and I are delighted. Barden’s is excellent with communication with the designer and the home owner. Some contractors attempt to bypass the designer and simply communicate with the homeowner. Barden’s does both so the job is done right the first time. Muffy or David would stop by to check progress, determine if there were any glitches (none), and bringing any paint or supplies during the day so we did not suffer any work stoppage. The crew started on time on day 1 with no delays. Muffy kept in contact via phone/email throughout the days with questions and progress updates. She was very detail oriented in her questions to make sure the crew was very clear and prepared. The crew was respectful and cleaned up after themselves each day. I cannot say enough good things about this company and am equally excited to use them on my next project.

Tommy Barden & his team painted the exterior of our home April 2015....Extra attention was paid to every detail of the project, from power washing to prep to paint application. Special attention given to protect landscaping and porch/deck surfaces was much appreciated. Prompt arrival and no delays in finishing project on time. No punch list....they did a superb job. Looking forward to their return this summer for an interior project.

We hired Barden's Decorating to paint the interior of our 1920s house and they did a FANTASTIC job! Their attention to detail matched my own, which is rare! Muffy was so helpful in writing the estimate and working through the details of the contract. She was always available to answer my many questions and she even came over to help me sort out a design problem, which was completely unrelated to painting! The job itself was pretty big and Tommy, Neil and their crew did an amazing job! The trim in the home had NEVER been painted so it was a huge undertaking to degloss, sand, caulk and prime all of the baseboards, crown moulding, doors, windows and built ins. In addition, they also painted all of the walls and stained some new baseboards to match the existing wainscotting in the dining room. They arrived on time, worked a full day and were always friendly and professional! They finished the job within the timeframe they estimated and were on budget. They also got along well with our other contractors. The house looks amazing now and I will definitely be hiring them in the future to install wallpaper and refresh our carriage house!

They are wallpaper in experts. The wallpaper in my current home is 10 years old and there are still no seams showing. They just put up wallpaper again in my new home and again did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them.
