My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Megan Grehl is an international design collective founded in 2014 that specializes both in architecture and interior design, with experience ranging from boutique commercial spaces to bespoke residences. Our work has been featured in Architectural Digest US and China, ELLE Decor, and as a winner on Bravo's Best Room Wins design competition show. Our projects are designed through a holistic approach, with both our architecture and interior design teams working closely together. We strive to find the perfect marriage between interior and exterior through the discovery of a unified language for each project. Our practice is grounded in sculptural gestures, unexpected proportions, and layered textures that seduce the mind, body, and soul. Collectively, our seven-person studio is proficient in English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, and Korean. We pride ourselves in working closely with our clients and meeting their deliverables, with having completed projects in Shanghai, New York, Milan, Los Angeles and San Francisco, we are eager to bring our skills and talent to other locations, domestic and abroad.

Megan owes me a refund of $1,500 from an overpayment and she will no longer respond to my emails or voicemails. It is concerning that she is willing to ruin her reputation over so little money.

I collaborated with Megan and her team on a residential project in Bryant Park. I work with many designers and found the process of working with her team to be very dynamic and creative. If either of us pushed back on an initial idea or request, both parties reacted thoughtfully, respectfully and remained flexible. This is critical to any design process. Each member of her staff was attentive and paid attention to the details. Megan's ambition and business sensibilities really compliment her creative work and allow it to shine. I began my career as a furniture designer and now practice as a fine artist. Similar to me, Megan also changed industries from city planning/urban design to interior design, and our abilities to jump from different design scales and mediums allows us to appreciate each other's professional processes and bring a new eye and fresh perspective to our respective industries. I am a fan of her work and her professionalism – I cannot wait to collaborate with her again in the future.

The Megan Grehl team is highly professional and has wonderful designs. They are accessible and listen to their clients. I've been working with them for about five years on many projects as a vendor for furniture and lighting. Professional, positive, timely, flexible, knowledgeable, current, creative, inspiring... These are just some of the words I'd use to describe our experience with Megan and her staff. Our particular job had some very tight budgetary and time constraints that might have sent some people running. Megan managed the construction and design with ease and took any bumps along the way in stride. We were looking for an updated version of mid-century to remodel the main living space of our 1963 CA ranch style home. We appreciated Megan's ability to blend both new and vintage elements into our space. Megan also custom designed several pieces that garner the perfect amount of attention. She brought in more natural light, clean lines, hard and soft touches that embraced both our needs and her personal style. Overall she helped us achieve the perfect balance of form and function that we wanted and needed in our home. Did I mention that she managed to do this all within budget? I look forward to working with Megan Grehl again and would highly recommend her.

I had a list of 10 designers that we were choosing from, and we chose Megan. I worked with Megan and her team on a large condo renovation in Brooklyn, in which she helped with the renovation design as well as interior decorating. Megan and her team are a creative force -- the amount of creativity that they bring to the table, combined with the various relationships she has to bring some of the best to the project (millworkers, custom furniture) made our renovation truly one of a kind. The professionalism, both in how we interacted and how responsive they were, combined with the 3D models were immensely helpful in helping to make decisions, and Megan and her team brought in a unique perspective and level of detail that really made a difference in how everything came together. She was also very flexible and patient, as I changed my mind many times! I would definitely work with Megan again, and highly recommend it for a truly unique experience.

We had a wonderful experience working with Megan's team for our second floor addition to a 1950's modernist cottage in the North Fork of Long Island. Megan and her team listened to our objectives and desires for the space and came up with special design options that met our needs and looked gorgeous. Megan created a relaxing oasis for us that is unique and has a soft spa and airy feel. We have had a chance to now live in Megan's design for a year, and her attention to detail and materials has made it a pleasure to be here. We would recommend her very highly.
