Her natural artistic ability shines through her work. I have used Melanie for 3 separate house projects and couldn’t be happier. Her knowledge of the industry and architectural craftsmanship are exceptional. I’m just sad that I’m running out of projects for her.

We worked with Melanie King on design work associated with our 6 month 1,200 foot addition to our residence. Her design ideas for the bathrooms, study area, kitchenette and other areas of the addition were excellent. We're really pleased with how the project turned out and the role Melanie and her team played in it.

We used Melanie King as the designer and to assist in certain construction oversight activities associated with our 14 month renovation of our lake house on Lake Conroe. She was awesome! Her design ideas for the kitchen, home office, bathrooms and most all other areas of the home were fantastic. She is a good communicator and listener and I believe her skills in this regard assisted in the overall success of the project. I thought her charges were very reasonable for the time and size of the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie King.

Three years ago I was researching designers in The Woodlands area and Melanie's ads caught my eye and further study of her portfolio sold me. Her designs are totally current and fresh! Our first project comprised a completely gutted bathroom along with updating two vanity areas. The tile, granite, flooring, mirror, lighting and paint choices were absolutely beautifully rendered. Furniture and carpeting completed the design for my two teenage boy's rooms. New foyer chandelier was selected as well as fresh paint choice for my downstairs living area. Melanie's team are currently completing a tear down and redo of my Master bath, bedroom and closet. New fixtures, tile, counter and floor choices are timeless and classic. She understands you have a budget and like most you want the completed design to exceed in looking more than the actual cost. You will not be disappointed in working with Melanie, and her team. There are few people I trust implicitly with my home but Melanie I absolutely give the green light. She can translate the vision and style of how I want my home to look and provide the valued insight one expect's from a true professional.

We had the privilege of working with Melanie King Designs on a project in Lufkin. She's so organized and professional, which made this out-of-town project a breeze. She made sure everything ran smoothly and on-time. From my perspective as a finish designer, Melanie was a dream to work with!!! She also has great vision. Her work is modern, transitional and polished - I was really impressed with how she tailors to clients' style and weaves their personality into the design.

We worked with Melanie King Designs on a Custom project in Galveston and were very impressed with the job they did. As a Builder we work with a lot of designers and Melanie King is one of the best we have worked with. They are organized and timely, allowing us to build our homes on our timeline to get the homeowners into their home when we promised them we would. I would certainly work with them again and plan to in the near future.

Melanie King really listened to my wants & needs And was able to bring my vision to life. She offered suggestions & showed me ideas to pull everything together. Melanie's use of fabric color & texture brought interest into each room. Melanie has a knack for mixing textures & finishes in the fabrics, rugs, window treatments and furniture. When she was done the only thing I could say was WOW! Melanie made the whole process very easy. Every detail was covered. I can't say enough good things. We recently utilized Melanie King Designs to remodel our home. The work included surrounding the fireplace in our den with customized wood panels; encasing a nondescript archway with customized paneling, and designing a tracery pattern on our dining room ceiling. Additionally, we had new wood floors installed throughout the downstairs, custom draperies installed in our dining room, living room, den, kitchen and office, and beautiful wallpapers hung in the office and half bath. One of the most unique features she added was placing a 45" flat screen TV with LED backlights in a wall cutout. When lit, the effect is dramatic and not only showcases the TV, but actually adds to the TV viewing quality. Melanie offered design ideas at every stage of the remodel. She utilized her own crews to perform all the work -- carpenters, painters, flooring installers, wallpaper hanger, electricians and drapery installers. Everyone was friendly, courteous, arrived on time and performed their respective jobs flawlessly. Melanie has a great eye for detail. We would definitely recommend Melanie King Designs to anyone looking to remodel any part of their home. We are extremely pleased with our "new" home. Melanie was a joy to work with, and we now consider her a friend. Thank you, Melanie, for transforming our home. We enjoy it immensely.

We have been working with MKD for several months on the construction of our vacation home. MKD began helping us while working with the architect, offering unique ideas and family friendly suggestions for creating our space. MKD was also extremely beneficial in creating the budget for our custom home where options are endless. They have been helpful in guiding us through areas where more expense should be allocated than others and pointing out areas where we can cut costs. Our builder, who has worked with many interior designers over the years, has been impressed with MKD and her prompt attention to issues. We are in the early stages of construction and look forward to many more months of working together.
