I needed a design professional to update the interior of my home. Mel was able to work with the existing decor enhancing its beauty with new carpets, area rugs, hardwood flooring, pillows accessories and more. She has a keen eye for detail and brings tremendous resources, knowledge and experience to the job. I found Mel to be professional, knowledgeable and most importantly easy to work with in terms of communication and execution of the project.

I decided to build a home in a 55+ community and immediately “Googled” interior designers. I contacted about 3; Mel was the shining star. Her website featured colorful and creative designs, not just predictable gray, beige, and white decor. She was enthusiastic to help me navigate everything from picking paint colors, to tiles, to light fixtures, and every single aspect that a new home requires. She was not only gifted in coordinating all the details, but intuitively read what my style and vibe were. Everything turned out perfectly; she made the tedious journey easy and exciting. Once I moved in, the fun part began. Mel was on point in decorating my home to reflect me with what I had and needed. She researched and found items that, when I saw them, I yelped, and said, “You nailed it….again!” She is so easy to work with, savvy in her purchases, and honest in her advice. This concrete and wood framed house quickly evolved into my home that I love. I encourage any client of Mel’s to let her creative juices flow; they will be bountiful and beautiful.

Melissa helped us turn a very awkward breakfast nook into one of my favorite spots in the house. Her eye for color and fabric is simply amazing. In addition to the breakfast area, Melissa put together an over all color scheme for our home. She also helped us redesign our dining room and we couldn't be happier with how she complemented the work she had already done in rest of the house. I really appreciate how Melissa stretched me out of my comfort zone and created something we love. I couldn't put into words exactly what I wanted, but Melissa kept giving me ideas and then somehow put them all together in a beautiful way.

We have enjoyed working with Sittin' Pretty Interiors. Mel took time to know us before making any suggestions for design. She asked probing questions about life travel and style likes/dislikes as well as looked at what we had in order to provide complimentary design suggestions. Mel is helping us manage an eclectic mix of treasures, a diverse taste in style and a new home with some modern features. I could not even begin to wrap my head around how to decorate or even add furniture to this collection.
