They listened many times to input from my wife and me so they understood our likes, dislikes and goals, Their large scale Landscape Plans were accurate and detailed, and helped us visualize the end product. They handled the entire process of obtaining 3 bids, all from seasoned and proven Landscape Contractors, so I always felt comfortable. And, they were always there to answer questions. Michael did our landscape plans 15 years ago when we built our house in Hobe Sound. A year ago we decided to build a pool and a surrounding tropical paradise in our back yard and ran into a lot of challenges (new rules on offset from canal, FPL power lines in back yard, etc). We went to Mike for help and the landscape plan we got from his team was amazing. We could not be more impressed with their work and attention to details. They gave us everything we wanted in a landscape plan and managed to work around all the obstacles and challenges in a way that made it all seem to natural. He also bid it out the work to several landscape companies so we could get the best price. The experience was nothing short of spectacular. There really is no better landscape architect in this area.

Mike did an outstanding job. After many years of tinkering, my and I decided we wanted to completely renovate our back yard which involved getting professional advice from the get go. I found Mike on line an S made appointment for him to visit us and look over the property. We liked his suggestions and agreed to move forward with a formal landscape plan. Long story short, the project turned out extremely well and getting Mike involved from the beginning was really the key.

I hired Mike because of his love for native plants, his practicality, and his thoughtful, easygoing demeanor. He is a great listener. My goal was to create a pretty, family-friendly yard in South Florida that required little to no maintenance. I wanted the right plants in the right places so that we would not spend weekends and money struggling to trim them into plants they were not. Mike and his team accomplished this goal and under budget. They drew up a beautiful plan, retaining many of my original plants, and they bid out the plan to established professionals in the area. My yard is now easy to maintain, colorful, and restful to the eyes. One year later, as I am selling my house, the most common feedback I have received from potential buyers is how much they love our yard. I am looking forward to working with Mike again on my new yard. Thank you!

We have had a great experience working with with Mike Flaugh, Landscape Architect. Mike designed a plan to remedy existing our landscape issues, which includes drainage, sod, and aesthetic issues. He listened to everything we wanted and was willing to accommodate any changes we made along the way. Mike is extremely responsive and a very real pleasure to work with. He listened to our needs and created a design that included everything we asked for. He demonstrated his vast knowledge of what would grow in our area and his love of plants. The Gilt Complex

My wife and I worked with Mike during the construction of our new home in Stuart. It was a tough job since the landscape plans had to be submitted along with the building plans. All he had to work with was an empty lot, our vague ideas, and a few preliminary construction drawings. He couldn't have been nicer or more pleasant. And now that we have moved in, the result is lauded by all who see it as one of the nicer landscape jobs in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Mike. You won't be dissappointed.

Mike did a great job on our house. He drew out the plans and submitted it for bid. The layout and the installation was incredibility smooth. Mike spent a great deal of time walking the property and going over the plant, tree, and shrub selections with us, insuring this is what we wanted. Hiis design layout was great and we can't wait to see how everything grows in within the next 6 months. Mike is conscientious, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I would, and have recommended him in a heartbeat.

Mike Flaugh is very knowledgable, enthusiastic, creative and dependable. We built a fairly large compound style home on 2 acres. We wanted the landscape to be completely natural using only native plants and trees. Mike got our idea instantly and he did an outstanding job designing the project. I engaged Mike Flaugh to create a landscape plan for the small area in my villa's back yard. I provided Mike with very general specifications, a wish list such as plants with color, plants favored by wildlife, use of as much Florida native plants as feasible and above all else low, minimal maintenance. I was extremely pleased with the design that Mike proposed, not only did he meet the criteria I requested but his selection of plants and their placement was remarkable. His choice of plants and some added 'focal point' suggestions (which I had not considered) more than met my expectations. At the end of the day I received a beautifully landscaped courtyard design for my back yard area. Mike also solicited and provided me with vendor quotes for this project. All vendors were professional and experienced which was quite helpful. I would highly recommend Mike Flaugh.

Mike Flaugh did a fantastic job for me on this house. The house was LEED certified in large part due to Mike’s effort and expertise. His choice of plants was responsible and creative given the limited parameters. Mike was also careful to let the plantings become an additional layer of the modern design, allowing the space and rhythm of the structure to extend out into the landscape. Three years out the project still looks seamless!

Mike Flaugh designed a landscape for our remodeled home on Indian River Drive. The project was extensive and lasted several months. It was important to us to use native vegetation and to highlight the more beautiful aspects of our home (like the river) while reducing the focus on the less beautiful aspects (an old bomb shelter on the property and a nuclear power plant across the river). Mike also provided practical and beautiful solutions to a drainage problem and an eroding bluff face. The bluff was stabilized using vegetation only; no armoring or rock. It still looks beautiful and requires no maintenance. Mike provided a detailed inventory of the existing plants and trees on the property, indicating what should be used and what should be removed, as well as designing new areas and with new materials. Mike gave us recommendations for contractors and installers to conduct the work he designed, and we still use the same landscape installers and lawn service that we started with. Mike brings an attention to detail, an understanding of our unique climatic area, and great knowledge of the options available. I highly recommend his service.

He is full of great ideas, very responsive sharing photos of different options and quick to rework CAD drawings so we can see exactly how the landscape will work together.
