Mike and Venecia worked well with our contractor-designer and made and installed what we needed even better than we knew what could be done. They made the kitchen cabinetry, our bar unit, the washer-dryer cabinetry and the library shelving, even with sliding vinyl LP cupboards. They were well versed in different specialty drawers from various manufacturers, and were picky about who they would recommend. All appliances fit snugly into their places with even trim around them all. Their attention to quality and detail went further to include innovation in finishes, hinges, angles, set-backs, ease of regular use and of maintenance, and optimal storage. Some finishes that weren't perfect were sent back by them to be made perfect. A pleasure to work with, and highly recommended by us.

The Millard Bautista team is amazing. When we first talked to them about installing a window in our home office in a 150 year old house, they immediately had some bang-on design suggestions about reworking our cabinets and desk. We followed their advice and have ended up with something that exceeded anything we could have imagined. There were a number of other small design decisions they helped us make as the project unfolded. They are professional with estimating, communication, material sourcing, and cleanup, and always friendly. Incredible attention to detail. We're super happy with their work!

We had a couple of small projects, which needed to be done quickly. Mike and Venecia were extremely helpful in getting the projects done one time. Mike, Venecia and their team were incredible! They completed our entire kitchen and laundry room while we were on vacation and took into consideration every one of our weird requests. Mike and Venecia worked as an awesome team when they stepped in to help with an early phase in the building of our commercial kitchen. They were above and beyond reliable for working within a scheduled time frame. The project required a lot of care at the beginning to square the foundation, and their conscientious work ensured that the rest of the framing, the trusses, the metal roof, and the doors and windows happened incredibly quickly. They also worked extremely well with my dad, who was overseeing the whole project, by taking leadership of the work at hand without excluding his overall project knowledge. I couldn't have imagined a better team, and I will recommend them 100% to everyone I know who needs carpentry work done.

We completed a substantial renovation earlier this year, and we hired Millard Bautista Designs to do the majority of our millwork including bathroom vanity, banquette seating, walk-in closet, window benches with built-in drawers, and a complex “wood cube” (eg. floor to ceiling wooden doors and wall paneling configuration in our hallway and kitchen). We are thrilled with everything they did for us. The craftsmanship is excellent, the product quality is great, and every piece looks beautiful! Importantly, not only did the final pieces exceed our expectations, but Mike and Venecia were also an absolute pleasure to deal with; hands downs, they were the easiest people we worked with during our extensive project. They worked closely with us to figure out exactly what we wanted and truly cared about delivering finished products that would meet our high expectations. They were fairly priced, delivered on time, and were highly flexible and extremely responsive to our requests. I cannot say enough about them; we absolutely plan to use Mike and Venecia again for future work and would highly recommend them to others.

We found the team at Millard Bautista Designs very easy and pleasant to work with. Not only did Mike and Venecia capture what we had wanted and imagined for our 2015 Interior Design Show display booth, but they also responded promptly to our communications and demonstrated their professionalism and helpfulness. They assisted us with custom designing a backing consisting of wooden shelves, which are removable, and mounting components to showcase our architectural product samples. They also constructed a cabinet for the front and center part of our display booth. Millard Bautista Designs was hired to build a custom pantry for my kitchen. The kitchen had been renovated before I moved in, but needed a finishing touch. The pantry exceeded our expectations and matched the existing cupboards perfectly! Millard Bautista Designs was courteous and professional with exceptional attention to detail.

I hired Millard Bautista to re-purpose an old, carved, four poster bed. I wanted to have a bench made for dining room seating and wanted to use the 4 posts and the head board from the family heirloom bed that we weren't using anymore. This design team immediately said yes to designing a bench from the bed pieces, they were very responsive on the phone and by e-mail and even came and picked up the bed pieces from me. They were as excited about the project as we were. They delivered the custom built bench on time, and we are thrilled with the bench they created. They retained all of the beautiful carved pieces of the bed and created a piece of furniture that is a modern homage to the heirloom piece. Mike Millard even researched chair arm styles of the same period as the bed and custom carved the arms to complement the original pieces. If you need any custom wood work done, this is the team to hire!

Mike and Venecia were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had an idea of what we wanted for our trim and mouldings, but couldn't find quite what we were looking for in stores, or even a contractor who understood our ideas. As soon as we met Mike and Venecia, we connected with them, and just knew they got our vision. They have an eye for detail and design, combined with incredible skill. During our initial meetings and the time they were working at our house, they were friendly and enthusiastic, respectful and tidy. The final result - our custom trim work - looks fantastic and we've received so many compliments. It is just what we hoped for, and actually even better. There's no doubt we will call upon Millard Bautista Designs again for future carpentry projects.
