Melissa was great in helping us prepare our mother's home for sale. She was wonderful at every point in the process, and the results speak for themselves as the home sold quickly.

Melissa and Debra are amazing. They decorated and furnished our new beach house in Rehoboth from top to bottom. They made what was a daunting task a joy. From our initial meeting of getting to know what our decorating likes and dislikes were, to putting together design boards so that we could see their vision of each room, to the vetting of furniture and shopping - it was seamless. Within 3-4 months we had moved from an empty house just finishing construction to a home. In addition to fully furnishing each room they selected art for the walls, accessories in the kitchen, bathrooms, etc. that really made the house feel like a home. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire process and they were absolutely amazing to work with. I have nothing but the highest praise the work they do, their ability to capture our tastes and make it a reality, and to also be cognizant of budget and costs throughout the whole process. I would absolutely work with them again and recommend them highly to anyone looking to furnish or stage a home. You will not be disappointed.

I was provided a few options for home staging and hired Melissa at Gathered Nest. I hired Melissa to completely redesign my 6 bedroom 4.5 bath Lakefront TH where I've lived for 20+ years. My original goal was to sell. Most of the homes in my neighborhood are purchased for total remodeling, so I did not want to spend the money updating my 70's kitchen and bathrooms to my taste when someone could purchase it for less and do it to their taste. I did want to highlight the location and many updates I have done. Melissa used my existing eclectic mix of antiques and mid-century modern furniture with very few supplemental items. She was a whirling dervish of energy and motivated me to plow through years of clutter and needed repairs/painting. It was a cost-effective approach and convinced me to get rid of things I've clung to for years. She modernized my bathrooms and kitchen with just a few small changes. I rented a storage space for the extra furniture - a chance for me to emotionally disconnect and sell. I felt energized by the changes and love, love, love my *new* home. I still plan to sell, but am now enjoying the extra space and views and am eager to declutter even more. I'm also ready at a moment's notice if a I decide to sell. Highly recommend Melissa. She has an eye for transforming space and furniture to improve the flow and appearance. Melissa was recommended by my real estate agent, Lee Ann Wilkinson in Lewes, Delaware. During our first staging appointment Melissa took detailed photos inside my house and patiently answered my questions. The next day she provided me with an amazing detailed description of her vision for staging. The addition of colorful plants and cozy chairs on the front porch provided an inviting entry. Melissa and Becky, her sister, rearranged existing furniture, hung curtains and pictures. They provided accent furniture and accessorized with plants, lamps, pillows, books, baskets, and a cute teddy bear. The transformation was incredible. The house sold in 30 days.

Melissa came to me recommended by the listing agent. The results of her staging ended with the sale of my house. I am however blown away by the amount of effort expended by Melissa that is over and above any contract agreement. Being an absentee owner, Melissa has stepped in to coordinate the disposition of the house contents.
