Purchased furniture based on her size/measurement recommendations. Nothing fits or works in the space. Could not be more displeased. Complete waste of money.

We hired Molly to help us design renovations and decorate our summer home in Chatham. She was always extremely professional and we absolutely LOVE her work. Molly has excellent suggestions, and takes the time to review everything with you. She works with your budget and your lifestyle! We have gotten so many compliments and we are thrilled with everything she has done. We plan to use her for all future projects as well.

This was an extensive project involving a total renovation of a unique, water view 1950's home (now referred to as mid-century modern) bringing it into the 21st century. Walls were moved and four bathrooms and a kitchen were totally redone. Molly came into the project right in the beginning. She won over the reluctant builder/contractor who found her delightful to work with, as did we. Molly has great people skills and professional competence but doesn't interject her ego into the decision making. She quickly grasped what we wanted and guided us through the process to an end that we love! Molly brought organization, vision, and talent to the project. We lived in another state so she sometimes had to make "on the scene" decisions for us. Her careful planning and coordination with the contractor, maximized our periodic visits to the site. When it came to decisions about finishes and furnishings she understood that we wanted to participate but skillfully made sure that we didn't make any "bad" choices. I not only would work with Molly again but have already recommended her to a close friend who hired her as well.

I had the pleasure of working with Molly on several different projects. She provided me with expert advice regarding room design incorporating existing furniture, alternatives with new pieces, flooring, tile, lighting, color, and structural design during a whole kitchen renovation. Molly is the ultimate professional...she is an extremely talented designer as well as a lovely person to work with...timely, consistent, flexible. I would highly recommend Molly for any renovation or design project, big or small.

Decorating a number of rooms at once, focus and organization were of primary importance. Molly always had good ideas that took into account a changing project scope, time constraints and budgets. Along with purchasing new items, she helped work into the rooms a number of pieces we already owned and the final effect is very pleasing. Always presenting an array of choices, her taste is impecable (of course!) but also very practical. As we were not living in (or even near) the house at that time, Molly was a godsend in going to meet furniture trucks at odd hours and seeing contractors in and out in our absense. I always had total confidence in her ability to get it done and she always did. I'll continue to check in with Molly for her expert advice regarding purchases and projects in the future. Always a pleasure.

I would describe Molly's modus operandi as quiet sophistication. It was important to me to achieve livable elegance in a newly constructed, traditional home. Her suggestions are thoughtful, unique, and relevant. She is easy to talk with and helps the client develop their own vision. There is nothing cookie-cutter about her style. She is comfortable taking over and doing the whole project or giving the client guidance to make good decisions. She has a creative edge that is refreshing. She is talented!

I hired MollyMcginness Interiors to help with finishes and furnishings for a new contemporary home my husband and I were building. She was the most reliable, inspired and personable professional with whom we worked during this project. She r3espect3ed my opinions while not allowing me to make mistakes and consequently we have a beautiful home.

We hired Molly during the renovation of a large house and, later, a cottage on Cape Cod. She was a key member of our architecture-design-build team and deftly broke several difficult architectural/design logjams (the house project was at a standstill until she came on board). Her advice on floor plans, kitchen design, bath design, aesthetics and project management were invaluable. We feel that the investment in her services saved us massive amounts of time, aggravation and money during our complicated two house project. If you're looking for a designer on Cape Cod that understands the design-build process from drawings to final touches, you won't do much better.

Redecoration and updating of a living room and dining room, including purchasing of new sofa, new floor lamp, several lamp shades and the reupholstering of 11 pieces, some antiques. All of this against tight deadlines. This is the first stage in a larger, full-house project. Molly is very creative, very resourceful, very respectful and very professional - a genuine pleasure to work with. Wonderful concept and excellent execution.

When we moved into our current home, we had 2 toddlers and dogs. Right away it is obvious I didn't have the time or focus to work on the house. It needed work, but I was unsure of what to do and how to do it. I certainly didn't want to make an expensive mistake. The best idea I had was to consult Molly! It was clear from our first meeting she had that "creative vision." This is something I just don't have! I have ideas and thoughts, and having Molly pull it all together made the whole thing so much more pleasant. We worked on the entry way, which was a laundry/mudroom/utility room. We pretty much tore it apart and put in gorgeous custom built cubbies, cabinets and drawers. We added a beautiful oval window. It is the most organized, useful room for our whole family. The washer and dryer moved to a different floor, and we built walls and put in beautiful folding doors. It makes much more sense where they are located now. At the same time we renovated the main floor bathroom, and found it was less expensive and faster to have the vanity and shelves custom built. The 3 rooms we renovated are now useful, organized and have a good flow. So; the daunting task that the renovation started out being; became fun and I am very pleased with the results. Now we are about to embark on more renovation work; and this time I'm looking forward to it!

I first met Molly a few years ago shortly after she relocated her business from Chicago to New England. I was immediately impressed by her design instincts and creativity, but also by her ability to do business in a professional, yet warm and friendly manner. I work for Romo, a fabric and wallcovering company based out of the UK, and it has been a pleasure to see how Molly has included our products into many of her beautiful projects. I look forward to continuing to work with her on many projects down the road.

I have been fortunate to assist Molly with her client's flooring needs for the past couple of years. Molly comes to my showroom always prepared and focused on fulfilling her client's needs. She always respects her client's lifestyle and needs while designing an unique look just for them. Molly is great to work with and is extremely professional on all accounts.
