Mountain View Home Builders did a fabulous job for us. They were 100% professionals, had excellent sub contractors who were respectful, thorough and timely. Communications were easy and complete. Once our plans were complete we let them do their job. They paid excellent attention to detail and provided guidance that made our energy efficient house our home. Could not have had a better building experience.

Four years ago we engaged Mountain View Home Builders to build our new home. From tackling challenges of a difficult lot to guiding construction through the height of the pandemic to offering great suggestions we were so pleased in every aspect. Their communication with us (including photos) while we lived out of state at the beginning of construction was so appreciated.Once we moved to the area we were in contact daily and as we saw things to change or adapt there was never a problem or hesitation. The worksite was impeccable, the subs they brought in were not only professional but pleasant. The final product was what we had hoped for in every way! Now almost four years in our house there have been a few adjustment that needed to be addressed, as there always are in new construction. A simple phone call to MVHB and the adjustments were resolved without question or hesitation. This company's integrity is as strong as their product.

Doug and Jamie were always transparent, responsive and professional during our home build. We appreciated their expert advice while also being respectful to our wishes. I would recommend Mountain View Home Builders to anyone looking to build a custom home in Northeast Georgia!

If I had to do it all over again I would choose MVHB again. Our build lasted 12 months including a longer than normal permitting process in Hall County. Everyone involved in our project was reputable and responsible. Jaime is the best project manager you can hope for. He is knowledgeable, extremely responsive, hands on and an overall nice guy. We are new to Georgia. We moved in during August of 2023. MVHB’s is a trustworthy contractor!!

This is the 4th home I have built since 1987. I will say this has been the easiest and the most stress free home I have had built. The communication between Doug and Jamie has been very easy and open. As with any home build there are always things that increase in price, become not available or the plans don’t quite work as drawn. Doug and Jamie have done an excellent job of getting in front of it before it becomes a bigger problem and causes a delay. Each contractor that has been involved with the build has been very respectful of our property. We were impressed that almost all of them have worked on Doug’s projects for years. This fact gave us peace knowing Doug keeps using the same people over and over. It made scheduling the work more accurate. When we were told they will do….the week of…. It happened. Also the quality of work shows in the build or I would bet they would not be ask to do another job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to take on the process of building a new home.

Jamie and Doug cleared our land and started the building process as we entered the difficult times of Covid with labor and material supply issues, but their experience allowed them to deal with the challenges. Their years of building qualitiy homes was evident as they delivered our finished home as we had hoped and prayed. We very much enjoy our home. My husband and I chose Mountain View Home Builders to build our home in Northeast Georgia mainly because they build homes that are certified by Earth Craft. Our home is beautiful and extremely energy efficient. We are amazed at how little it costs to operate! Mountain View Home Builders and their team of craftsmen were wonderful to work with thoughout the project. Their knowledge and skill allowed us to deal with the difficulties of building in the mountains on a sloping lot and yet get the end product we were looking for. We started working with Mike and Doug Calvert of Mountain View Homebuilders in summer of 2017 to build our new home outside of Gillsville, Ga. After working with multiple builders over several months, we finally felt we found a reliable builder that would partner with us on our designs and getting us to the end without living through the “horror stories” we’d heard about. Despite the consistent weather issues in the beginning, they kept us informed and on budget and we were completed in the original timeline. Mike was a stickler for the details every single day and stayed on top of every aspect of the build. The quality of the work has been great and when the rare issues did occur, they were handled well and timely. Their crews were real tradesmen and took pride in their work. We love our new craftsman style home!!! We would highly recommend working with Mountain View Home Builders.

Mountain View (Doug and Mike) worked closely with us to fine-tune our plan. Then they were in constant touch while we were building. Afterwards - we love the house - they're still answering our calls and have been quick to make the one needed repair on utility room tile. They are professional and friendly, flexible when we needed changes and upfront about costs. They are Earthcraft builders - I love mentioning how low our utility bill is when I get the chance.

Mountain View built my house on my steep creek side lot in the north Georgia mountains. It is beautiful; we love it! The slope necessitated some modifications along the way, which along with our unusually rainy weather caused some delays, but it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend this builder.
