It started with a magazine photo that inspired us to move our staircase and match the "look and feel" of the stairs in the magazine photo. We had a very limited space where we wanted the stairs to be installed. Myron was able to work with our contractor, Vic, and make it work. We love the stairs and the new flow our home has opening up the living room to the downstairs fireplace. We are very happy with the end results!

I cannot say enough good things about Myron and everyone at Slabaugh Custom Stairs, Ltd. We hired them to install new iron railing balusters for our front entry way. Not only were they attentive and helpful but they went above and beyond to get the work done in a very professional manner. Even when those up close to the wall caused an issue they replaced the entire baseboard and accommodated the balusters seamlessly. They were outstanding to deal with.

When we moved into our new home we had not intended on needing to replace our entry stairs but now I can honestly say they are the cornerstone of our home. I love that they are the first thing you see when you enter our home. Slabaugh Custom Stairs was not only a pleasure to work with but they provided us with exactly the design we wanted, on time & within our budget. Myron Slabaugh designed, fitted by template, constructed, stained to perfection and installed a beautiful railing on a curved stairway first to second story. We love it!! Our friends comment on it every time they come up the stairs- even I like to look at it every time! Myron and his guys are geniuses at custom design and installation; their attention to detail and ability to get it right the first time and on schedule is admirable. We definitely recommend them for custom woodwork. It even came in under the estimate, bu the price was not the issue- quality is the issue and we are pleased to write this review. We needed a 2" thick piece of mahogany to put on a ledge. My husband made many phone calls trying to locate the wood.. The local lumber yards had nothing near that thick and we're not very helpful. My husband found Slabaugh on line and called them. Myron, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. He bonded 2 thinner pieces together for us, cut the slab to size and shipped it to us in under a week. The wood is beautiful! I would recommend him highly. Very professional and customer friendly.

Myron installed a beautiful staircase in our small Philadelphia 1850's town home. He replaced a spiral staircase and worked within the tight space to produce a well-finished and functional set of stairs. Myron was very professional, respectful of our space, and worked well with our contractor and designer. The home renovation required a strict timeline which Myron met.
