The two most important descriptors for NDI are integrity and quality. NDI completed our home in November 2019, but our relationship started some six years earlier when we first engaged them for designs/costs while working with our city on zoning issues. NDI subsequently built us a fully custom home, and I’m happy to report it is a beautiful and solid structure four years later. The key thing to note about NDI is the relationship they form with their clients. When you work with them, you become a part of their family. And they care about you and what they build for you from that point forward. Building a home is tough, there are always things that go wrong and cost more time and money. But I can honestly say that with NDI, it felt like we had a partner through it all. Jen Landers, the president, is an exceptional human being who runs NDI with integrity and a deft hand. She is always looking for designs that are both beautiful and cost efficient to appeal to her clients and save them money. Jen knows every client personally and will be there from start to finish of the build and beyond. When she says “contact me if anything goes awry with your home,” she means it. Jen stands behind her company’s work and stands beside you as her client. Kevin, our project manager, was on site every day, ensuring that the work was done well and on time and the site remained clean. He was very communicative and helped us through numerous unexpected challenges (such as when a city pipe wasn’t on our engineer’s plans and we needed to install a second sewage system…ugh!). The entire NDI team is excellent, helping you through every aspect of this extensive process. If you’re looking for a company to build you a quality home for a reasonable price, one that will stand behind their product and hold your hand in the process, then you’ve found that firm in NDI. This company can’t be beat when it comes to quality, cost, and integrity. You’re in the best hands with NDI.

Building a custom home is a huge project and the staff at NDI were very adept at guiding me through the process and simplifying the complex. Everyone I interacted with were very skilled at their job, seemed to genuinely care and were quite helpful. As with any construction project there will be things that will go wrong. Jennifer (President), Adam (Jennifer's brother and Construction Lead), and Phil (Supervisor of the Project Managers) were great collaborators at troubleshooting the unexpected and worked hard to ensure that I had a good experience. I would work with them again, and highly recommend them. My recommendations of improvement would be to expand the option of vendors that customers can use, and to consider diversity by including minority owned companies in their preferred vendors list and adding more diversity to their staff.

With building a house being the most expensive purchase for the majority of people, Trust and Integrity is at the top of my list. And I'm glad NDI Homes met both requirements. Prior to working with NDI, I was scammed by a no name builder/contractor and lost some money. Luckily the title company and bank was able to identify the red flags and put a stop at the initial stages before breaking ground (and before spiraling into a very bad and expensive mistake). I'm having my dream home built and "love is blind"...you get the idea! With a recently purchased vacant land and the unexpected issue. I had to find a reputable builder....fast! NDI was able to step in and helped me at a critical time. I looked at other local builders i.e. ANV Homes, Classic Homes, Stanley Martin, Evergreen, Van Meter, but NDI was within my price range. Fast forward 8 months later, I am now enjoying my brand new dream home with my family. I'm sitting in our 20' x 20' master bedroom typing this review and feeling completely grateful that I chose NDI to build my home. This is my first time building a home, and as such, it was very stressful. Lots of unknowns and learning curves for me. But NDI made the whole process as efficient and stress free as any builder possibly can. From applying for county permits, to site planning, to modifying architectural plans, choosing design and finishes, site work and excavation, logistics/scheduling to foundation and framing, and to establishing all utilities. What makes a company a great company that stands out? Its the great people within that company. And I sincerely Thank all of them. From Doris at the front desk with her friendly demeanor, Rick and Dawn for being SUPER responsive with emails, messages and last minute changes (sorry for the last minute changes Dawn!), Annette, Phil and Kevin for getting 'er done, Kathi for her great taste in color/finishes (trust her picks, you'll be happy), Adam and Jennifer for being super accommodating and understanding and to all the awesome hard working contractors. I truly am grateful for all you guys and I can't imagine anyone else building my dream home for me. Pros on the house... - affordable - great quality - very high standard as far as imperfections (they fixed small paint issues that even I didn't see) - crown molding, trims, shadow box, pre wire ceiling fan, chair rails, shower niche, frameless shower, framed mirrors, 8' vanity countertops, adjustible mirrors, security control panel, hdmi, coax, cat5 = ALL STANDARD - superb craftmanship - spacious and flows naturally (we picked the Chesterbrook Traditional) - lots of natural light and spacious - last but not least....BEAUTIFUL!!! cons on the house... - paying the monthly mortgage??

25 August 2017 Today, my wife and I signed a contract with NDI to build our next home in Lorton, Va. We started out wanting to design our home but find the industry shady. There were too many builders with different agenda besides ours. We switched gears several weeks ago and look for build on your lot builders. There were several options to choose from and narrowed it down to two builders once funding was in place. Selecting a home within NDI portfolio was easy because they have numerous variation of their designs, plus we new what style home we liked. We chose the Chesterbrook Craftsman. Since this our first time building a home, the process up to this point has had its ups and downs. However, we are dedicated to see it through the finish. I will rate the experience so far as a 3 star mainly because the relationship is still at its infancy and hoping it gets better from here since NDI will be building our future home. My family and I look forward to the experience.

We selected NDI to build a custom home for us in Vienna, VA which was finished in 2014. In a word, we LOVE it. Build quality is exceptional, and the finishings are beautiful. The whole NDI team were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Strongly recommended!

Did a lot of research to make the decision to use NDi for our new home construction. Very pleased with price and product!
