We are more concerned with our family and friends, especially our children who may read this. This has nothing to do with our quality of work or NY Plantings outdoor space improvement abilities.
This "Houzz.com" is a great website and one of our favorite but what Houzz allows to be posted is disturbing.

In attempt to avoid this sort of issue We now make make sure that throughout the entire work process we check in and ask that the client is happy, if we can improve anything and make sure that we will have a good referral when the work is completed.

3 (three) years ago (approx) records show that this client's girlfriend did contact us and eventually did receive a soil delivery from us and a van full of materials but did not work with us in any other way. There was a contract that was broken solely by the client.
The soil delivery was very large at nearly 40,000 Lbs and we were forced to store the product for months since the "landscape architect" managing the project insisted upon ordering much too early with no place to accept delivery of 14 pallets of soil. We took this soil to our yard in PA, since our NYC location (jan...a po box is not an office, perhaps in your country:)) this was as courtesy, but not free of charge.

I think Emily (the " practicing architect girlfriend" in the opening statement, in her 20's with no experience whatsoever in managing a large landscape project) may have "mal- practiced" not "practiced" and now understands the soil is delivered and then 'goes in' later. Not first. Later. In fact, if the soil hadnt been ordered too early, the entire project may have gone well. That Winter was the worst on record for several years and delivery was made very difficult. We also require lead time for this.
I didnt want to order the soil...the "girlfriend" did. I even suggested against it. Now, with 20 years experience I would not bring a tractor trailer load of soil to a jobsite with nowhere to keep it, especially before any other work was started.
The deposit funds were depleted in the price of the soil, the redundant transportation, truck rentals, machine hiring, loading/unloading crews, redundant site meetings, consult, assistants, helpers, drivers, workers, emails, phone calls, sketches, materials research, ordering pickup/delivery and other cost items related directly or indirectly to the project.

thats it about this issue...it is in the past! Forward to today:

Just as you might contact a positive referral we may contact anyone else. For the 5 minutes it is worth it, since you will be gaining a most excellent Landscape and Garden company and a beautiful outdoor space.


Some clients have been with us for several years. We have just finished our 5th consecutive year of growth and gained even more great experience (and great NYC Landscape clients)

Since this time of the "negative experience review" we have completed nearly 20 projects, over 100 services with not ONE negative review of our QUALITY of work).


In fact, it ill be very hard or impossible to find any image of poor quality work because our work is always excellent, our work sites always neat and the team is well equipped, experienced in hardscape and gardening, professional and organized.

Thank you for your purchase and please feel free to give us a call directly to resolve any customer service issues. You will indeed see that we have made great improvements with more understanding and clear communication.

This is the work I personally love to do and it is well known to any client that I am enthusiastic regarding the improvement of outdoor spaces.

You have a very nice outdoor space as a garden terrace with a freshly sanded IPE deck and large modular built in IPE planter. A drip irrigation system should help to keep the plantings healthy and established.
Please accept our (my) apologies for not providing more personalized and attentive service. If we truly care to improve and learn from our experiences then this is the best we can do moving forward.
