Foster Hill Design

This was our first redesign project with a professional designer. Fortunately we picked the right one! Nicole Foster of Foster Hill met with us in our home to understand the project and get a sense of our preferences. She and her team provided drawings and concepts, then walked us through selecting details. Nicole suggested a contractor that she felt would be best for our project. We received a professional budget and time line. Incredibly both were met! We moved out of our home in Chicago and lived in the warmth of Southern California during a Chicago winter. We were concerned about leaving our home and the project in some one else’s hands. We don’t need to be. Nicole was the liaison between us and the contractor - there were no surprises- none! In our case, Nicole suggested that our contractor custom make our kitchen cabinets. This allowed us to be creative with our design. The quality of the craftsmanship is excellent! All of the parts came together on time during one of the most difficult supply challenges and we attribute this to Nicole’s foresight, planning, conversations, and confirmations. Foster Hill was creative, professional and thorough. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and all the worked provided by Nicole, the design team, her choice of vendors and her choice of a contractor. Not only would we use her again but we wouldn’t want to do amother project without her!

My wife and I recently completed a whole home renovation/redecoration with Nicole Foster of Foster Hill Design. And there really aren't enough accolades to describe how happy we were with every aspect we experienced in working with Nicole and her team. My husband and I used Nicole through a recommendation from a family member and we could not have been happier with our experience! This was our first time doing any renovations and we had no idea where to start. We wanted to update our kitchen and living space including shelving around our fireplace, new lighting, new countertops/backsplash and all new appliances. Nicole at Foster Hill Design is the ultimate professional. She's a great listener, had our style pegged and knew what we wanted quite quickly for our master bathroom remodel. She offered terrific options and had great creative solves for our unique space. She is highly competent: a task-master and incredibly detail-oriented. Even when a certain window treatment selection didn't work out, she was on it with new options immediately. Nicole was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Incredibly professional, talented, and respectful of my opinions and my budget. I can say the same for her entire team, too. During our initial consultation she spent time listening, looking (ah those Pinterest boards), and examining - she even got underneath my sink with a flashlight and determined that my sink and counter were becoming detached, which I really appreciated and it showed me that she was interested in making sure that every aspect of the project was thought through and done right. Once we landed on a design concept, she kept me updated every step of the way and was very responsive to both me and my building throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Nicole!

My husband and I engaged Nicole on a remodel of our kitchen, three bathrooms, and hardwood floors. Initially we were a little hesitant to hire an interior designer, but in hindsight, she was the best money we spent on the project. She came up with design ideas that we absolutely loved, and also considered our feedback when we wanted to explore other options. She is incredibly prompt at answering emails and following through. She is extremely detail-oriented, which is critical in any home remodeling project -- big or small. She did a great job keeping our contractor on schedule and budget. She always kept our budget in mind and didn’t try to push us out of our financial comfort zone. I’m not really a person who writes public reviews, but she did such a good job on our project that I wanted to share our experience. I would absolutely hire Nicole again and I would 100% recommend her for your design needs.

Nicole, and her team, are absolutely amazing. With their supervision, and the talent of her recommended contractor, we gut renovated our two outdated bathrooms (oh, and they found a way to install a washer/dryer in our small space bath while we were at it) and the end result is simply spectacular. Nicole and Michelle listened to our input, and came back with beautiful design concepts to choose from, all of which represented our style and tastes...and then some. A perfect balance of talent and organization, Nicole is creative and has a strong aesthetic point of view, but is also skilled at managing every detail, and keeping the timeline and budget on point. Expertise and knowledge of every little detail (things we never would have thought of!) took our "bath renovations" to a whole new level, with end results that are polished and high design, super functional, and we actually stayed within a reasonable budget. Cannot thank her and her team enough, and we highly recommend her!

Working with Nicole and her team was fantastic! I did a complete overhaul of my master bathroom and she was able to listen to me and truly bring my ideas to life. I couldn't be more thrilled with outcome of my bathroom overhaul! We have a 100 year old home with 1 bathroom for 2 adults & 2 young boys. It was cramped and pieced together with random materials. Nicole and her team's vision maximized the use of the space with custom storage cabinets, a pocket door, medicine cabinet, etc. that kept within the look of our house, but made it feel like the spa experience I've been wanting. The team was easy to work with and accommodated my thoughts and changes. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and end result!

Not only are Nicole's ideas great but her service is top notch. Admittedly we are not the easiest clients but she made sure that we were happy in every aspect of our bathroom re-model before completing the job. She made herself available whenever we had questions and frequently visited the job site to make sure things were going as planned. And from a design perspective, what she delivered was far beyond what we could have imagined. A truly talent professional.
