Nicholas Borrell of The Healing Home transformed our run-down 3-bedroom mid-century ranch into a 4-bedroom showplace. After meeting with us to establish our families’ needs and desires, he crafted a vision of a lovely, fully functional home. One of our favorite transformations is the large multi-purpose deck, which incorporates both a vaulted screened sunroom and an open area for sunning and grilling. Nicholas, with The Healing Home, designed and coordinated a complete demo and remodel of my basement, that was flooded by rising groundwater during heavy rains. I chose him for this project based on his extensive experience working with water damaged properties during his years on the east coast. Nicholas worked with subcontractors to create a flood prevention plan for my home. Experiencing a flood, especially one caused by nature, is a traumatic experience. Having the confidence that I could rebuild and that it wouldn't happen a second time was truly healing to me and my home. It's an aptly named business. The basement originally had a strange, chopped-up layout. It was completely transformed by The Healing Home's redesign. The end result is open and warm, a very comfortable, livable, yet high-end space. The project was completed on time and was a far easier remodel than anything I've watched friends go through.
