About Us

NKB Construction is a home remodeling company based in Middletown, Rhode Island. We work with our clients to the highest standards and find solutions to their needs. We perform complete remodeling of kitchens, bathrooms and houses in Rhode Island. We do everything from new storm door installations to building complete additions. Newport Kitchen and Bath works with licensed plumbers and electricians of the owner's choosing, or our subcontractors. Some examples of the remodeling work we perform: Wall removal, structural alterations (such as opening up structural walls for open kitchens.), outdoor showers, new closets, door installations, tiling, plaster repair, and painting. We perform all types of exterior repairs: Siding, fix termite damaged walls, door installations, painting, outdoor showers, decks and stairs.

7 signs of a substandard contractor: 1. Unmatched widths between top and bottom staircase posts 2. Stairs detaching away from landing 3. Joists not really sitting on the beam 4. Too short guardrails pulled away from posts; some attempts to disguise with shims 5. Poured concrete landing raised with wood platform to bring up to acceptable riser height (stringer too short) 6. Unfinished work 7. Unreliable accounting
