About Us

OUR STUDIO: THE ARCHITECTURE OF WELL BEING. An ethic of thoughtful design, sustainability and collaboration. THREE SIXTY ONE weaves these three threads in a innovative approach to create healthy, enlivened architecture. With a background in construction, we work side by side with contractors to ensure the design intent and quality construction are executed. High quality construction and eloquent design must be inextricably linked for a successful project. With an emphasis on collaboration, we assemble teams drawing from a pool of qualified consultants that are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients and the project .We love what we do here and bring our passion to each project regardless of size. The founder, Daniel Weaver, AIA, graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Conservation of Natural Resources and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Washington. Prior to founding THREE SIXTY ONE, he was part of the founding faculty at San Francisco’s first public charter high school, Leadership High School. Early in his career he formed a design build firm, offering clients both architecture and construction services. He values learning about energy efficient, healthy homes and encourages clients to take up the mantle as well. With an educational background in conservation and architecture coupled with our experience in building, we take pride in not only creating sustainable projects but also architecture that looks and feels great. We help clarify and simplify the process for you, allowing you to focus on your inspiration. The creation and delivery of a successful project is a complex and complicated endeavor. We enjoy being part of a team - multiple input from professionals with diverse backgrounds create successful, enlivened projects. We understand that one person can’t “know it all” and that the best approach and solutions evolve from a collaborative process. With a background in construction, we've built homes, not only for our clients, but also for ourselves. Based on our experience, we assist you in making informed decisions when facing difficult financial and design choices. Our background in building helps in communications with general contractors throughout the entire process.

We rehired Daniel and 361 Architecture to design an addition to our family home based on our positive experience on a prior remodel to a different house. We found him to be creative, responsive and flexible. He was very vested in our project and a good listener. He took our initial ideas and presented us with several designs that included elements and reconfigurations that we hadn’t initially considered. The relationship was very collaborative which we really appreciated. He has a beautiful clean design aesthetic, a good sense of humor and easy going manner. Lastly, he worked well with our general contractors and their subs during the course of construction to help get our projects built which is no small thing!

When I decided to have a new front porch built, I immediately inquired if Daniel Weaver and Three Sixty One Architecture were available to design it. After Daniel agreed, I told him what type of look that I was going for and he drew up an amazing set of plans that captured exactly what I was hoping for. I know this was a small job but Daniel and Three Sixty One treated me like I was their most important customer. I highly recommend Three Sixty One for any architecture job big or small.

We hired Dan Weaver to develop plans for a new garage that needed to be dug into our hillside. He was wonderful to work with and a great communicator. He listened to our needs and had great ideas and suggestions. He also had experience on how to best approach this project to ensure it gets through the building department permit process quickly and smoothly. We are very happy with the result of our project and how the entire process went. We would hire Dan and his firm again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him!

Daniel Weaver is an architect of utmost vision, knowledge, and integrity. The house that he designed for us actually exceeded our expectations. It is inviting, comfortable, calm, and exquisitely beautiful. It is a melding of form and function. For philosophical and health reasons we wanted a sustainable, healthy home. Embodied in it are state-of-the-art environmental features that earned the house a GreenPoint Platinum rating. These features include a prefabricated structural bamboo wall system,which increases insulation efficiency by 30% and dampens sound between rooms; and a ventilation system, which filters all air from outside and eliminated my allergies as soon as we moved in. Daniel, and the collaborative team he developed, guided us from inception to completion with grace, thoroughness, and a ceaseless attention to all facets. What resulted is a work of art. We give him the highest possible recommendation.

Daniel and Uli were a pleasure to work with; true partners from the onset through completion of our project. Their design aesthetic and material selection is top notch. They were able to provide us with choices that fit a variety of budgets, and offer options that were sophisticated yet unique. They really listen to your wishes and try to execute your vision. Every detail was carefully considered, they were both easy to communicate with (response time to questions and emails were within 24 hours), and overall we are thrilled with our remodeled home. We've worked with Dan Weaver and 360one on several projects, the latest representing our greatest effort in both scope and outcome. We did a 3-level addition to our San Francisco Victorian home, connecting levels with interior staircase, expanded the kitchen with a space for eating/chilling which has become the hub of family life, added a bedroom, bathroom, media room, deck, patio with hardscaping, and more. We had lived in the house 12 years before the remodel, so we had lots of ideas about what we wanted to do. Dan listened to us, incorporated our good ideas, proposed many more of his own, and balanced design, structural, and financial objectives to transform our home. He worked closely with the general and subs to get all the details right. We love everything about it! Thanks, Dan!

I was in the process of planning an extensive family room remodel and wanted a professional to handle the design details and provide ideas. This was not simple since the family room wasn't much more than an enclosed part of the patio with low ceilings and sunken floor. My contractor recommended Daniel from 361 Architecture. Overall, Daniel did an excellent job from conception to execution. He listened and understood and was willing to offer advice and guidance without pushing his agenda or views. He provided a great design, and when we had some last minute major changes, Daniel was flexible and worked with us. He was also invaluable when it got tricky with the local building officials, and he worked well with our contractor and structural engineer. We ended up only going part way in our remodel because we started to think of a bigger plan down the road and when we do get around to doing that, I wouldn't hesitate to employ Daniel again.
