In 2017 we undertook a major backyard renovation with Pacific Outdoor Living, resurfacing a 1950’s era pool, adding a jacuzzi, a heater, and a lot of pavers. POL was very professional, with detailed blueprints, timelines, and cost breakdowns. The entire project finished on time and on budget. Nine years later we couldn’t be happier as the pool and jacuzzi have held up remarkably well with no issues.

Pacific Outdoor completely redid our backyard, front yard landscaping, put pavers on the driveway, built us a pool, and we couldn’t be happier!! They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn’t have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn’t quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn’t be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Pacific Outdoor Living, and specifically designer Julian, was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it. Two years ago, after receiving a recommendation from a neighbor, I hired Pacific Outdoor Living to create a landscape design for my backyard. I paid for a site map and design plan. While the design was acceptable overall, it included trees planted directly in front of a beautiful view, which seemed like a major oversight. At the time, I decided not to move forward with the project for unrelated reasons. Two years later, I contacted Julian again because I felt the original design had potential and simply needed some revisions. This time, Julian came to my property in person. We spent considerable time discussing new ideas and improvements. He took photos, asked questions, and appeared engaged in the project. Then I heard nothing. After several weeks, I reached out to ask when I might expect a revised plan. My backyard is relatively small, so I did not anticipate a lengthy design process. I received a brief response indicating it would be a few more weeks. I waited until that deadline passed. Again, there was no communication. After following up once more, I finally received a plan by email with no explanation, no notes, and no discussion—just a file labeled “revised plan.” The problem? It was essentially the same plan from two years earlier, with the trees removed and very little else changed. None of the ideas we had discussed during the site visit appeared to have been incorporated. Frustrated by the lack of communication and the significant amount of time wasted waiting, I called Julian. I could not reach him and left a voicemail. The only response I received was: “We are not a good fit for you.” At that point, I contacted the company and requested to speak with a supervisor. I explained my experience and made it clear that before posting a negative review, I wanted to understand what had happened and whether there was any way to correct the situation. I was connected with Stephanie, who stated she needed a few days to review the facts and get back to me. That was three weeks ago. I have never received a follow-up call, email, or any acknowledgment from the company. The most frustrating part of this experience was not the design itself. It was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. Months were wasted waiting for responses and revisions that never materialized. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Pacific Outdoor Living. If communication, follow-through, and respect for your time are important to you, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

We hired Pacific Outdoor Living to redo a very basic pond in our backyard and to add a waterfall feature and they did an excellent job of creating a pond/waterfall feature that we enjoy on a daily basis. Chad designed it and his team brought into existence and several years later it is still working great! I'm 10 stars if I was allowed they did the pavers around the pool a few years back and they just did an outstanding job it's beautiful it's held up great I had some random paver crack and because they offer a lifetime guarantee they came out pulled it out and fixed it look like it never had any problems. Super professional super easy super fair pricing definitely would recommend these guys

He listened to our needs and worked thoughtfully within our budget. The crew was efficient, professional, and even completed the project ahead of schedule. We replaced our deck with pavers and added a new lawn and plants, and we’re very happy with how everything turned out! We did have some communication issues with the billing department. We had questions, and they were not responsive, but Joseph ended up helping us sort that out. They are on the higher end in terms of pricing, but the quality of work, efficiency, and overall experience made it well worth the investment for us.

My wife and I are new home owners and Pacific Outdoor Living did a wonderful job with our side yard. They handled everything: from the design, engineering, permits, lighting, landscaping all in one stop shop. This made our lives easy and the end result was amazing; in our small side yard they built a deck/patio, gazebo, a water feature, gas-fed fire pit, as a well as beautifully designed landscaping. It all started with our desire to mitigate the fire risk to our property. We had several wooden structures connected to, or in close proximity, to our house. We also needed our pool remodeled. I checked reviews and quickly saw that Pacific Outdoor Living (POL) was at the head of the class with complete yard remodeling, including landscape and hardscape. We approached POL with a hazy version of what we wanted. We quickly learned that POL had a very detailed process, almost like engineering a new product: first, establish detailed data of the area, then help the customer crystalize their vision of the end result by working with a knowledgeable designer within customer's artistic desires and engineering realities, i.e. budget and schedule. Upon customer's approval, come up with a reasonable implementation schedule that permits quality work and, at the same time, effective use of POL manpower. POL is a large organization compared to many local landscape companies, and, to make all the above work, it quickly became evident that they put a lot of time and energy into making all the above work! And it DID! Once we decided to proceed, POL sent a person to survey our entire property. She took detailed photos from every angle, measured elevations, existing structures and fences. In effect, she created almost a 3-D picture of the whole workspace. There was a small fee for that which would be applied to the project if we ultimately decided to proceed. Following that, we had a preliminary appointment with a designer, Julian, to discuss our thoughts about what we wanted to achieve. At a follow-up appointment, Julian presented a preliminary plan. We decided to proceed, and Julian worked up a detailed plan, complete with suggested plants. Julian even had us visit former customers to see what POL had done for them, and everyone of those customers gave POL their highest recommendation. A few budget constraints necessitated making some changes, but we decided to proceed!! At that point, the project started with significant amount of demolition followed by the great experience of watching a well-oiled process create a beautiful landscape of native plants, a patio cover, built-in fire pit, lighting, irrigation, drainage, and 3000 ft² of concrete pavers in our yard. Overall, very few problems arose, and POL even suggested some changes on the job due to old gas lines and electrical conduits that needed to be replaced. Obviously, we give Pacific Outdoor Living our highest recommendation! They worked within our budget constraints and made suggestions that enriched our design, then brought it to life!

This job was for demolition and replacement of an existing driveway and sidewalk. It was a bit challenging due to planning for the slopes and drainage issues involved. The sidewalk was owned by the city so permits had to be pulled for that. I contacted several concrete contractors for estimates. Most never returned calls or after coming out to see the job site, without explanation, never returned bids. I signed a contract with one contractor and he would never commit to any start date. I was so happy that I discovered Pacific Outdoor Living. They sent a representative out to examine the job site and he returned a bid the next day. They coordinated the permit and inspection by the city. Pacific Outdoor Living promised a quick start and job completion and they met their promise. Khalil was the job site coordinator and kept me informed during the construction and involved in the decision making process. Pacific Outdoor Living wasn’t the cheapest bid, but I was very satisfied with the outcome and are the best company for this and thank them for a good experience.

This project was 30 years on the making because I could never find anyone who could understand my vision for moving our driveway approach and putting an open courtyard to the front door, until I found Pacific Outdoor Living. The owner Terry Morrill has devised a phased project process that works to deliver a stellar product! You get what you pay for with this company as the results are amazing. After precise measurements of our property, Joseph Acosta worked with me to plan exactly what I wanted; my vision was realized with his creative ideas and know-how to create the plan of my dreams. Once the execution teams took over, the plan came together beautifully. Being an 80 years old house, there were a few surprises, but the solutions came quickly and effectively. Our family can now be proud of our wonderful transformed front yard and driveway, and I cannot say enough nice things about working with Pacific Outdoor Living.

I had a fantastic experience with Pacific Outdoor Living. Not only did they do a great job overall, but they also went above and beyond to meet my specific requests. I asked them to pre-layout pipes underground so I could easily add landscape lighting in the future, and they made sure that was taken care of perfectly. Additionally, they installed a water pipe to prevent excessive water from accumulating on my patio, and calculated the slope so that water drains away from the house and out of the backyard. Little did I know when I hired Pacific Pavingstone to pave our long driveway in the Hollywood Hills at 1822 Camino Palmero Street, that it would add such beauty and value to our home. Pacific Outdoor Living redid our Pool and Pavers. We decided to change things up and raise our spa to make it easier to get in to and then ripped out all the concrete and put is pavers. Best decision ever. We also go new pool equipment. Ours was originally in the garage (pool was put in a long time ago when that was allowed). Now we have all new equipment and heater in the corner of the yard where it belongs and is easier to get to. They replumbed the entire yard and now have all new drainage too. We also had them rebuild the planter retaining wall on the other side of the fence from the pool. They did an amazing job.

I first learned about Pacific Paving stone/Pacific Outdoor Living at the Pasadena Show Case House of Design. Their garden, driveway and walkway designs caught my attention for three consecutive years. I then visited their showroom and my husband and I contracted them to replace the circular driveway at the front of our house with pavers from their large selection of paving stones. The completed driveway was very attractive and has given us years of service. 2 years later we contracted them to constrict a walkway around the perimeter of our house. A few years later we again contracted them, this time to repave our sloping driveway from the street to the garage at the rear of our home. The result was spectacular and the driveway so well engineered that despite it’s very steep slope, no water ever entered the garage. I have recommended Pacific Paving stone/Pacific Outdoor Living and many people in our neighborhood have used them over the past 10 years as well.

I have used Pacific Pavingstone services many times. They made my driveway and backyard looking absolutely beautiful. They are very knowledgeable on making downward slopes for easy rain water drainage and their stones last forever. Beside, it is also very easy to replace the paving stones of just one area in case of plumbing repairs or oil stains. I recommend them a thousand times because of their timely and professional services.

We used Pacific Outdoor Living for a complete backyard makeover three years ago, and it still looks amazing today. Their process made all the difference. They first came to our house, then created a CAD drawing along with a cost estimate. You pay for that step, and if you want to move forward, the next step is a 3D drawing. After reviewing the drawings, they move into preparing the plans, and once you receive those, you sign the contract and the work begins. It’s a great way to see exactly what you’ll be getting before making the full commitment. We met with several other companies and even paid two of them to complete drawings, but Pacific’s was the only one that truly captured what we wanted. They stayed on time and on budget. To clarify, we adjusted our budget to achieve the features we wanted, but Pacific completed the project for the exact price they quoted. They did subcontract the patio to Tiger Patio, which brought some unnecessary complexity to the project. The patio looks beautiful, but it did come at an additional cost. Everything else, however, was handled beautifully by Pacific. Even now, three years later, they have continued to be a resource whenever we’ve had questions about maintenance. Overall, Pacific Outdoor Living delivered outstanding work with a thoughtful, step-by-step process that makes you confident in your investment. We would definitely recommend them for anyone considering a backyard transformation.

Pacific Outdoor Living refinished our driveway. They tore out all the existing concrete from the backyard, along the side of the house and down the whole driveway. They leveled the ground with sand all throughout so that there would be no sinking areas, which has resulted in no puddling. They laid down each brick with careful consideration to maintaining the design symmetry. What seemed like it would take weeks to complete was done in five days. They also gave us a generous amount of extra bricks and have offered to come and replace any damaged or stained bricks at no charge when necessary. Very pleased with the result, and there performance.

We had our driveway completely repaved by Pacific Outdoor around 10 years ago and it still looks amazing. At the time, most people were still getting concrete or stamped concrete. For the same price as pavers Pacific Outdoor offered removal of old concrete and whole thing paved. The very nice salesman gave me a great price and I said "that's fantastic but we just built a large garage and we don't have the cash". They offered my great financing at the same interest rate as you would get for a mortgage. An offer I couldn't refuse. What impressed me most about the job was that it was all demolished and redone in around 4 days. I never had to ring to say "where are you?" or "you can't leave this job half finished" as I have experienced with other home improvement work. Extremely professional and respectful of our property. Would not hesitate to recommend and if I ever get another house, would get them to do all outdoor from start to finish.

I normally get between three and five bids on a job. I’m not looking for the cheapest and I’m certainly not looking for the most expensive but I am looking for a company that has history and relationships in the area and a lot of expertise. Three out of the five companies advertising as paver companies were nothing more than a storefront with a slick sales person who subbed out everything. One company was Overpriced, and not easy to communicate with. Pacific outdoor living, well, not the least expensive bid, sent out and extremely capable person who listened to my needs and made thoughtful suggestions, and when the bid was presented to me, it was exactly how I wanted it to be. They started the job when they said they would and finished it when they said they would and they were no hiccups, issues, and at one point I didn’t like something I had asked for, and they came out and redid it even better at no extra charge! I would recommend this company in a heartbeat, and I still love how my yard looks!

Had a driveway that needed to be repaved. Due to the Spanish style architecture of the building, it made sense to go with some nice red pavers to match the red ceramic roofing of the building. Pacific did an excellent job, and for a good price as well. They demoted out the existing driveway and put in the new pavers. Pavers are solid and well installed.

The team was very fast, professional, and flexible to build in stages to accommodate my schedule. Able to work with multiple materials and build our pergola as well. The ability to deal with one contact to handle a project with a few different parts was important to me, rather than dealing with various contractors.

The people at Pacific Outdoor Living did a complete makeover of our backyard. They tore out our lawn of weeds, and put in a beautiful pool, Jacuzzi, landscaping, fire pit and cooking Island. We added a new pergola and pizza oven, and now we love going into the backyard. We had a great time designing the project at their offices, and they were always receptive with any issues or questions. I would definitely recommend the company.

For Pavers, this is the company to go to. I needed a deck installed in my backyard around my pool (1450 SF with 300 SF border - not a small space) including drainage to the street and 537 SF of gravel on the side of my house. They were a bit more expensive than the company that installed my pool, but you pay for what you get. Pacific Outdoor was super fast (they finished in a week vs a two week estimate from the other company), very professional, organized, and did a beautiful job with my pavers.

An excellent experience! They replaced my old driveway and a side patio. That was 6 years ago and the work still looks new! They came in and did the job in a couple days less than they predicted. Clean up was done perfectly. They also dug down to remove the roots of bamboo that would have caused future damage. Great job done well!!!

Unfortunately, sometimes tragedy lets you know if a product or service is really good or not. That happened to my family when we lost our home and everything in the Eaton Fire in January. Several years earlier, we had landscaping completed by Pacific Outdoor Living in both the front and backyard. I loved the work they did and how it came out. They are true artists with pavers and retaining walls. However, I learned how well their work was done after the fires. I had pavers installed in the front yard, complete driveway to the detached garage and 2 full patios in the backyard. We recently went through debris removal with the Army Corps of Engineeers and their contract company. Except for a few areas where the very large equipment had to move into the debris of the house, nothing broke. The driveway and patios handled the incredibly large machine that was removing the debris and the large trucks that hauled it away. Huge hunks of concrete was being dropped into the trucks parked on my driveway and nothing moved or broke. The Army Corps person said how impressed she was and showed how well it was installed. So, thank you Pacific Outdoor. We have a lot of rebuilding to do but it is good to know that your work stood up to some incredible events.

It's been several years since we hired Pacific Outdoor Living to do extensive work in our front and back yards, and we're still very happy with the work they did. The entire project included demolition of existing areas, installation of concrete, paving stones and sod, as well as an irrigation system, gas line and lighting. From the planning through execution, the project was done with great care and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to call them again.

I know...it seems an odd choice to have a swimming pool removed. From far way, the pool looked lovely but it was old, cracking, and the cement around the pool was cracked and opening up all over the backyard. That is how we embarked on this journey that led us to Pacific Outdoor Living. We started this project by meeting with a number of different Contractors from different companies. Pacific Outdoor Living set themselves apart from everyone else at the outset by offering us the opportunity to have our entire property drawn and analyzed, in addition to plans being developed by a Designer. From the first day that we met with Samantha Hung, we knew we were in very capable hands to help us with the daunting responsibility of coming up with a design. We knew we had options: We just had no idea of where to even begin. Samantha provided us with a vision of what our property could look like. Of course, what matters most is the execution of all the plans and designs. Our lead Project Supervisor, Jorge, provided us with a precise checklist of all that we mutually agreed would be done. He was always willing to listen when we felt that we needed to make modifications to our original plan and design. We are thrilled that we ended up with the backyard that we envisioned for ourselves. Start to finish, our project took about nine weeks, and every step of the process: demolition, debris removal, preparation, installation, etc., was completed by a crew or a Team who was highly skilled and worked efficiently to complete their task. We are so grateful that we found this company and simply could not imagine working with anyone else on such a large endeavor. The job took no more than two and a half months to complete. Samantha the designer, worked with us to sketch exactly what we wanted and provided us with a 3D model of how our backyard would look like. It came out exactly what was sketched. Trent, the owner of Pacific Outdoor Living, was very involved in the project himself. He showed up many times throughout our construction just to make sure that everything was running as planned. Our project manager, Khalil, was fabulous! From start to finish, Khalil was on top of it. He was very organized and prepared every time we saw him. We never have to second guess when he was going to bring out an inspector or when any of the employees came. In addition, Khalil always notified us before he sent someone to our house to do any of the work that was to be done as well as let us know ahead of time any additional cost that was to be added if we did additional work that was not part of the contract at our property. We felt like we were in good hands with Khalil. We also wanted to mention that Pacific outdoor living also has different departments that handle various areas that customers may need. For example, they have their own construction team, Landscape team, demolition team as well as paving Stone team and also a billing department that run very efficiently and seamlessly. We felt that Pacific outdoor living was a very reliable and honest company to work with. They definitely live up to their high standards of quality and service.

In 2017 my wife and I hired Pacific Outdoor Living to replace our old asphalt driveway in poor condition with a new paving stone driveway. We were particularly concerned with improving the drainage of water on the driveway after a rainfall. Water had previously tended to congregate in a corner adjacent to our house. The sales agent helped with the design of the new driveway, and the execution of the project was well-managed. Now nearly eight years later we remain very pleased with the paving stone driveway. Drainage is excellent, and the driveway has required virtually no maintenance to keep it looking the way it did when first completed.

Excellent company. Professional from start to end. Ken was my salesman and Jorge was the jobsite coordinator. Both were knowledgeable, timely, and personable. Pacific Outdoor Living has their own fleet of trucks and their onsite workers are employees of the company, which was important to me. The skill level of the installation crew was also excellent. At the end of each day, the jobsite was cleaned up and everything was put away. I had my driveway, front walkway, and patios installed in the front and side of my home. Along with this, the front porch, steps, and a sitting area were completely redone. It looks amazing. When it came time to match the stucco on my house around the new porch, you can't tell the difference. Great match. Upon completion of the job, we did a walkthrough and any changes I requested were taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The price for the job was fair - not the highest nor the lowest bid.

We’ve had POL do three projects for us: drainage and pavers around our yard; new driveway with drainage; and redo our backyard with new sod, irrigation, and replace some grass area with appropriate plants. All three were well done and they have been responsive to our input and have stood behind their work.

Pacific Outdoor Living did a fantastic job replacing my driveway and front lawn! They completely designed and architected the replacements, removed the existing concrete, lawn, and plantings, installed new driveway drainage, pavers (made at their own local factory), and planted and installed a Xeriscape front yard along with lighting, drip irrigation, sprinkler controller and lighting controller. It was a tremendous amount of work, but the result is excellent and makes me happy every time I look at it (which is every day). The cost was on the high end of our range but it was worth every penny. Best of all, they kept me in the loop as they worked on the project to resolve any unexpected issues on the spot. I first heard about Pacific Outdoor Living from their beautiful work at a Pasadena Showcase House event. We asked them to elevate our backyard cracked concrete patio with pavers. Working with them was easy. Delivery of material, quality of the material and the workmanship was excellent. We couldn’t have been happier with the completed work. We enjoyed our patio for years. We have since sold our home and strongly believe the project done by Pacific increased the value of our home.

I dithered for years about what to do with my back yard. I could never get a lawn to flourish there, so it ended up a weedpatch and an eyesore -- I never let any guests see it. When I finally made up my mind to pave it over, I checked out a number of websites & chose Pacific Outdoor Living on the basis of the look of the jobs they had done. I was kind of surprised by how I pleased I was with the job they did, and by how easy they were to work with. They genuinely entered into what I wanted, made suggestions that I readily agreed to, and got the job done neatly and promptly. The yard now looks beautiful (Tuscan Courtyard Stone, random ashlar pattern, in case you wondered) and, hey, somehow larger than I imagined it to be!

I had a very extensive backyard project that involved new tile, replastering the pool and building a new outdoor kitchen. The Pacific Outdoor team was incredible. I was always kept inform of the status of the project at all times. Open Communication is a key strength of Pacific Outdoors. No surprises unlike how many other construction firms operate. The project manager — Khalil — went beyond what is expected so many times that he created a new standard of construction excellence. He is an incredible asset to Pacific Outdoors. POL installed a pond, surrounded by pavers, and matching driveway pavers on a property I manage/ed 12 years ago. All areas are still looking great! The pond was designed to be self sustaining with plants, fish and waterfall. I have not needed to clean the pond since installation. Each element is doing its job. Very low maintenance and very please! The pavers look as the did when installed. No settling or shifting. Great Job!

Our goal: To re-fresh of our backyard replacing an old patio, concrete and basketball court with a more relaxed pergola, pavers, lighting, new BBQ area and gardens. To be honest, my wife and I chose Pacific Outdoor Living (POL) for their impressive reviews, a good move on our side. To start the process, we walked into POL unannounced thinking we would get a feel for their operation 1st hand and maybe set-up a future meeting (really not expecting anything else). What we got was nothing but professionalism, a welcoming staff, a short tour, their philosophies and even an introduction to the owner and our eventual Designer Samantha. We immediately made plans to meet with Samantha the following week. Samantha was really good (smart, full of ideas and patient) at understanding our vision as well as painting a picture in our heads what the finished project might look like. She guided us through the whole process, including permitting, landscaping, a new pergola, different paver options, the benefits of lighting, financial pros and cons and eventually a completed design (which we loved). The initial walk through and demo all were completed on the same day. From there our coordinator Jorge seamlessly worked with the various drainage experts, pavers, landscapers, carpenters, BBQ installer, electricians, gas line re-routing experts, permitting, etc. He worked hard following through on all issues, including getting around a couple of rainstorms and coordinating a finish carpenter/painter (Cornelio) to finish-off the rest of the hardscaping on schedule. Luis handled the overall landscaping. He and his staff are our go-to experts, including his plant/planting ideas and a watering plan that would get us through the summer heat. Luis without a doubt has exceeded our expectations by coming by every once in a while, to make sure all the plants are doing well. Very much appreciated. I waited many years to tackle the renovation of my backyard space. A small slope in the backyard, drainage issues, a 60 year old patio cover and inconsistent hardscape had to be addressed. So many 'moving pieces' to the project (design, demolition, irrigation, hardscape, landscaping, etc.!!) left me feeling 'stuck'. Then I learned about Pacific Outdoor Living while visiting a Pasadena Showcase House. I spoke with their representative and learned, yes, they work on tract homes like mine, not just mansions. I could see their work was special, but upon learning Pacific Outdoor Living handles each phase of your project with their in-house crew AND were able to work within my budget constraints I was all in. I hit it off immediately with my designer, Samantha. She explained the entire process and presented me with design solutions perfect for my situation. I felt very confident putting my trust in POL. My project required demolition of the patio cover, existing concrete and removal of flagstones. POL graded my backyard to provide more valuable space for entertaining and a more cohesive look that 'flows' beautifully. The attention to detail was stunning. Grading was with completed so that water would drain correctly into new drains. New pavers were installed expertly. In all phases of the project all areas of my home were protected from damage (think jack hammer and regrading and dirt removal!) The team for each phase arrived at my home at the time expected throughout the project. After each day of work, the areas were cleaned and equipment stowed. All questions were answered promptly. Staff were top notch in their work as well as friendly and personable. It was clear from the beginning a happy customer is the goal with POL. Big thank you to Samantha, Jorge, Trent and Jesus and the many others! I had neighbors stopping by during the work to comment on the speed and professionalism they could witness as bystanders of the project. Start to finish the work was complete in 3 weeks including new flagstone pathway, landscaping and irrigation for an area in my front yard. Its gorgeous! My backyard has been completely transformed. Lots of jaw dropping from my friends when they see the result. The view to my yard is absolutely glorious, my dream space! I couldn't be happier. And there's more. Following the completion of my work I have had a few minor issues, a leaky sprinkler, a tweak needed with my new sprinkler controller. POL continues to answer my inquiries and respond quickly to resolve any issue that pops up. You may find a lower cost solution, but I highly doubt the end result would be the same as with Pacific Outdoor Living.

Pacific Outdoor Living did an upgrade/renovation of the patio at my condo in May 2024. I am extremely pleased with the result and highly recommend this company from start to finish. The first step was that someone came out to evaluate the space, make measurements, and take photographs. These were handed off to Julian, the designer who worked with me. Julian did a great job finding out through a personal meeting what I was hoping to achieve. He offered a number of suggestions but in the end guided me towards what I wanted. He then developed high quality, detailed drawings indicating exactly what he proposed, right down to the tiles, bushes and plants, and fountain. Once we settled on the design, a key step was having an experienced gentleman (owner?) and "job boss" come out with Julian on site and talk through in detail what was proposed. For my project, this turned out to be crucial because the experienced guy quickly determined that what had been proposed would not work due to unforeseen structural issues involving the subterranean garage. Although this set back the project start date by a few weeks in order to re-plan some things, in the end it was worth every minute of delay because it avoided potentially catastrophic results I would have been liable for with the HOA. Julian came up with fine alternative suggestions. Once the work started, the whole team was competent and professional. One noticeable thing about Pacific Outdoor Living is that this company is large enough that they have a full complement of their own workers, each group highly specialized - one for the demolition and tear out, another one for leveling the site, another for laying the tile, another for installing the bushes and plants, and even more for the electrical and plumbing. The end result is that everyone is an expert and efficient because they are specialized. The "job boss," Jorge, was outstanding. He made sure the everything was coordinated and stayed in close communication with me about decisions that came up along the way, as they inevitably do in a project like this. Once the work started, there was only ONE day where someone wasn't there working--otherwise, over the roughly 3 week period, they were ALWAYS there getting something done. The work area was always neat as a pin at the end of the day, The pricing is transparent and their business office provides clear documentation at every step. There were no surprises. At the very end, we needed to adjust the "bottom line" due to a few changes that were made, and they were fully responsive and fair in doing so. I would say that if a person wanted to spend a lot of time hunting around it is possible you might find someone willing to say they'll do your project for less, don't bother. Whatever little you might be able to save isn't worth it. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and I am happy to recommend Pacific Outdoor Living. These people are professionals and know what they are doing!

Pacific Outdoor Living did a complete remodel of our front, side, and back yards about two years ago, and they did a wonderful job. They removed the old grass and replaced it with turf. They also extensively re-graded the backyard and installed underground drainage. New outdoor lighting was installed, and they put in a large drip sprinkler system. They poured concrete in the front and the backyard as well as a remodel and redesign of all of the landscape in our backyard. They removed a large unsightly water feature and redesigned it into a beautiful small pond. They poured a deep concrete foundation for a Jacuzzi and installed beautiful design features, incorporating large stones into the edges of the turf. They went above and beyond to suggest great design ideas along the way. The work they did is beautiful, and the service was great. The workers were on time, efficient, and personable. We would recommend Pacific Outdoor Living to anyone doing smaller or larger jobs in their yard

Jeff, Leonard and all the workers are the BEST !! My new yard is my favorite place to hang out. They listened to my dream, took into consideration my budget and gave me what I asked for. They also completed it when they said they would ( that never happens). The workers were nice as well as respectful of my space. They even put up with my naughty dogs when necessary. If I ever decide to do my front yard I will definitely be calling them back.

A professional company. Time lines, contract all laid out, explained and followed. Communication was easy. A phone call away, with a follow up at my house, if needed, in a timely fashion to address any concerns. I am more than pleased with the quality of the work: 20’x6’ pergola, leveling of areas, adding weed cloth and pea gravel / rocks to paths and areas. Workers were respectful of my property and neighborhood. This is not a “fly by your seat” landscaping company. Money well spent.

Pacific Outdoor Living did a lot of landscaping for me about 18 years ago and it still looks good! They installed pavers for my walkways, porches, driveway, fountain area and around my pool. There has been a little settlement in a couple of places around my pool decking, I guess because the pool was newly built and it's been awhile. I remember they were very professional and did a great job. I called them to ask if they could help me with the settlement issues, and Jesse and one of his crew members came to check out my pavers. Turns out, the crew member that came with Jesse remembered my job! These guys were really great to work with and Jesse and his associate were very professional and friendly. Jesse told me they no longer have the exact pavers so they will have to work delicately with the existing pavers. Jesse quoted me a reasonable price to do the repair, and we got it scheduled right away. Jesse sent out Emilio to do the repair. Emilio really knows his stuff! This guy was so detailed and precise, I was amazed! He was able to remove the pavers in the settlement areas, and set them back so the job looked like there was never an issue. These guys are really professional and serious when it comes to making you happy with a professional finished product. I am very tough to satisfy, very detail-oriented, and ask a ton of questions. Yet Pacific Outdoor impressed me at every stage of the project. It’s a company with a culture that listens and wants to please. It has the knowledge and the talent to do so. There are precious few companies with Pacific's breath and depths of capabilities. They have specialized teams for each function, and a supervisor over each team, as well as an overall project supervisor. The set up is perfect since the result is high-quality, competent work, efficiently provided. Pacific’s teams couldn't have been better. Julian was the lead designer and coordinated the preparation of the plans. He listened and created, and it was a collaborative effort. Juan was the overall manager, and was terrific. He was the glue that held the project together, and I couldn't have had a better person in this role. All of the team supervisors and their teams also were exceptional. Luis for demolition had a large team and was incredibly organized and efficient. Another Luis for landscaping was extraordinarily knowledgeable, helpful, creative and accommodating. His team did incredible work with a large variety of beautiful plants, irrigation, grass, a dry river bed, and amazing lighting. Enrique is a master mason, building beautiful flagstone decks and an amazing firepit. Martin did a terrific job creating a beautiful large paver pool deck and gorgeous coping around the pool. The pool and spa alone had multiple teams for tiling and pebble resurfacing. And then the pergola/balcony team did wonders. Lots of people, each group skilled in their trade. The result: I now have a dreamworld outside to live in, day and night. I couldn't be happier, and Pacific could not have provided more value than they did. They exceeded my expectations. This hard-to-satisfy, demanding person is beyond satisfied. I highly recommend them.

We hired Pacific Outdoor Living in October 2020, after living in the house for about 30 years. The did a complete backyard renovation converting a relatively unusable sloped backyard with a very small patio into a 2 tiered outdoor entertaining showpiece with room to host and entertain 20+ people. We couldn't be happier with their ideas and design for the space. The design also made the relatively small backyard feel much bigger. Their designers had great ideas to make the space more functional and beautiful. They graded a much bigger patio (removing 3 dump truck loads of dirt), put in a short retaining/seat wall, paving stones, outdoor kitchen, firepit, pad for an above ground jacuzzi, drainage, irrigation, landscaping, and lighting. It was completed in about 6 weeks start to finish, on schedule, working 6 days a week. They cleaned up at the end of each day and hauled away the debris as it was created. The project manager kept us informed all along the way, and had some great "tweaks" to the plans that they did on the fly with our approval. Three years later everything still looks great, the drainage works perfectly, and the plants are thriving. They also stand behind their work. We had one light in a step fail about 2 years after completion. They sent a guy out to replace it promptly under warranty. One thing that separates POL from others is that they have all their own crews and equipment. There are no subcontractors or related delays. On my project their Bobcat broke down one Saturday morning. They sent their in-house mechanic out to fix it and had it up and running again in a few hours, allowing them to continue the grading without any delays. It is a joy to be able to entertain in the backyard, or just enjoy it ourselves. My only regret is that I didn't do the project sooner!!!!

I actually used Pacific Outdoor Living for two different backyards. They first upgraded my backyard in Studio City. They gave me a beautiful new driveway, revamped a pond I had in the yard, and generally made it feel like a backyard oasis. We sold that home quickly mostly due to the beautiful yard. When we moved into a new home in Burbank which had a backyard made mostly of damaged and dangerous concrete, I called Pacific Outdoor Living immediately. They turned that into a beautiful oasis as well with fruit trees and so much beautiful grass and flowers and plants - it was unrecognizable! Highly recommend them to anyone whose backyard needs help.

I was the property manager and the owners couldn’t be happier with the results! Pacific Outdoor started the project on our backyard and front yard upgrade in early 2022, and by August of the same year, we had a whole new outdoor space to enjoy. The transformation is seriously impressive — we've got a bigger pool, a chill hot tub, a cozy fire pit, a large bar, a cool BBQ setup, a beautiful deck, a lush of lovely flowers all around, and more! Throughout the project, Trent and his crew kept us informed every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough!

We chose Pacific Outdoor Living for an extensive and multi-faceted backyard and front yard renovation. In the backyard the large pergola over the patio was removed, and a new patio cover was constructed. The cement was demolished and new pavers installed. We added lighting and ceiling fans. The pool plaster was cracking and POL arranged for the pool to be resurfaced and then recommended a pool man who could handle the acid wash and start up procedure. The putting green was in need of repair, and POL put in a new one, and recommended a contractor to replace our sport court surface. In the front yard, our brick walkway was cracked and in need of replacement. POL took care of that. The irrigation system in the back and front yards needed to be overhauled, and POL installed drip lines where needed, and replaced all sprinklers as well as the automatic timer. Additional landscape lighting was added in front and back which enhanced the property because our town has no streetlights and is very dark. We changed and added plants and trees throughout our landscape in front and back. POL helped us achieve our dream landscape, including new sod for the lawns, and then made sure we knew what to do to maintain it. POL planned the phases in our project with excellent crews specializing in each area of work, and made sure that each phase followed the one before with a minimum of delay. We are so pleased with the results - we have a backyard perfect for entertaining and family enjoyment and a front yard that is beautiful. I have the rose and flower garden that I always wanted as well as fruit trees that produce all year long. We would recommend POL for anyone needing to accomplish any or all of these phases. The planning process was helpful and thorough, and the execution was very professionally done - with a minimum of disruption and no damage to our property. The contractors were careful and skillful and extremely respectful. Start to finish, the project took about 6 months during 2020-2021 including the planning.

POL did a complete redo of my backyard. They went from a blank canvas to a beautiful yard with pavers, waterfall and koi pond, a outdoor kitchen , new sod, landscaping and lighting. I also have 2 basalt fountains!! I could not be more pleased. The designer I worked with, Justin was absolutely wonderful!! He was patient, answered my many questions and captured what I wanted, better than I could have imagined. POL started my project with an estimated completion of 10 weeks. I have used Pacific Outdoor Living for two projects. They built a beautiful stream with small waterfall, a barbecue island, pavers, landscape, and lighting. They are efficient and help you realize your vision while making recommendations to make the project better. They also help maintain your budget while still maintaining project goals. The field staff take pride in their work, they take time to make sure the look is his quality, they are real craftsmen. Finally, any concerns were quickly addressed ensuring the delivery of a project with no lingering punch items. I had a large asphalt driveway that needed to be replaced. It is wide, steep, and had invasive bamboo sprouting from cracks. It was a mess. To make matters worse, it is highly visible from the street. In addition, parts of the pad at the top were inclined toward the garage, allowing water to seep in when it rained. We contacted Pacific Outdoor Living for a quote. As work progressed i decided to ask about a large pool and deck that needed major repair and replacement. The deck was a mix of broken and repaired cement and the electrical under it was blowing circuit breakers when wet. The pool was leaking, and the fiberglass lining was buckling. It too was a dangerous mess. Once we signed the contract, they gave us an anticipated start date and end date. To my surprise, they met both commitments and completed the project within the estimated cost. With their design help, It is now a pool that make me proud. In addition, they worked with the city to obtain necessary permits and inspections. This is our third major renovation of the area, and nobody came close to the finished product we now have. I was astounded by their conscientious workers and their skill in solving problems as they invariably arise in a large project. I’ve have received numerous positive comments about the work, and have happily recommended them to friends.

We had our backyard remodeled, which included pool installation, pergola build, and driveway paving. They completely transformed our old blah grey concrete patio! We called Pacific Outdoor Living and Craig came out to our house and gave us several ideas within our budget. He also recommended several pavers to choose from. Workers removed old concrete, re-graded, put down gravel coat, new pavers, and sealer. We love the color and texture. They also completely remodeled the stairwell to patio with an extra step and pavers and ground lights. They added garden lights and put them on timers. So pretty! We were so pleased we asked them to add outdoor lights to our front yard as well.

These guys did a full design & build of a hillside infinity pool for me including all geotechnical hillside stabilization and a full landscape renovation around my whole property. After going though two other contractors who could not even come up with an accurate price or plan, it was refreshing to find this team. I would not hesitate to hire them again on any property.

Water restrictions had made it impossible for us to maintain grass in our front yard and during COVID we got inspired to do something about it. Pacific Outdoor Living had done a wonderful job for our neighbor, so we engaged them to help us transform our front yard. They helped bring to life our vision of a drought tolerant design that incorporates a variety of color and textures. We get compliments almost any time we are outside and have recommend them to several of our neighbors. Very happy with the experience and the outcome.

The design is fabulous and my family and I are enjoying the feature every day. They were quick to respond to any and all of my concerns. After the installation, if I had any issue, they visited within a day or two to resolve it. We are very happy with our choice. Thank you.

We had our backyard patio redone and Pacific Outdoor did such a great job. The planning was explained well, and the onsite team did a great job with the project and in a short time. Looking to do more work with them soon!
