Paragon Stairs

The product arrived early, everything was as promised, everything fit. Well, the price was reasonable, and customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this product.

We ordered their straight “Summit“ staircase. This is supposedly a pre-engineered, worked-out design. In other words, it is not a one-off design on our behalf. Like so many others, we have dealt with numerous fabrication and field assembly problems. Most notably railing posts in no way comply with building code requirements. Instead of providing hardware that securely attaches the posts to the stringers, Paragon /Salter provided threaded inserts that are not welded to the posts. They simply plug in to a hole in the post & rely on friction. Moderate pressure on the top of the post easily pops the post & railing off the stair stringer. This negligence alone is reason to steer clear of this company! Additionally, the stringers were bowed in the long direction & not straight in the up & down direction along their length. Therefore, once the posts were attached to the stringers, they were not vertical. The wood cap rail might’ve brought these angled posts into alignment had the attachment detail at the top been sufficiently strong. Unfortunately, the cap rails attach to short metal plates welded to either side of each post. This assembly is not sufficient to pull these misaligned posts into a straight alignment. We have had to make several field modifications to assemble & bring the stairs to code. It has costed us in time, change orders, & a lot of frustration and disappointment.

We had Rachel help us with the design and order. Everything turned out great. The product fit just right, the instructions were clear, and we felt the price was fair. This was our second spiral staircase we’ve installed from Paragon. If we need another we will be sure to call them.

The staff was extremely helpful. The stairs arrived in perfect conditions and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow.

From selection to payment: the customer service was thorough and knowledgeable. When asked about stair related codes for my state, they knew not only what they were but that their stairs were in compliance. From a business standpoint, it’s genius how easy they make paying.

Stairs were easy to install. Take your time and follow the instructions provided. The staircase feels very solid going up and down.

Easy and super friendly to work with - very accommodating- help us save about $1000 bucks by reconfiguring the spiral stairs so we didn’t have to add an additional landing and still stay within code. Thanks for quick service and all your help

The stairs came out very nice were very easy to install everyone at tholl fence company thought they looked good.

Terrible customer service. They promise that it will be approved by the city you live in—and they have no idea if that’s true! Many parts missing, had to get a contractor to repair these brand new stairs. Quality of materials also poor.

After you pay for everything the customer service turns to trash. No one responds to emails or phone calls. And the people who do answer are mad at you that they messed up. So they direct you to customer service. But then customer service directs you to your rep. Would not recommend these people as they won’t fix their mistake. Edit. After a left a review they assigned me a new person who has been working to fix it.

I am very happy with my new spiral stairs from Paragon. Great product, friendly and helpful staff. The stairs are even better than I had hoped for.

They had exactly what I wanted. They listen to my needs, and the stairs were ready within 10 days at a price that was unbeatable. I highly recommend them.
