We had an excellent home building experience with Parker Homes. This was our first time building a custom home and we were very fortunate to work with Troy and Lisa Parker for this project. They were fun, gracious people, easy to work with and they helped to make the process enjoyable and very rewarding. We ended up with a beautiful, well built home that we love and appreciate every day. Here are some of the qualities Troy and Lisa exhibited that made our experience so special. The communication with them was outstanding. From the first time we met with them, throughout the entire build we always felt close to the project, even though we were not living in the area at the time. The Parkers listened to our desires, questions and concerns and were always there to offer their insights based on their experience. For example, we were VERY protective of the trees on our lot and the Parkers worked extensively with us and the architect to make sure we saved every tree possible. During the construction process, they provided thorough, weekly updates to let us know what was happening at the job site. Again, this was important since we were living 250 miles away at the time. If anything unexpected came up, Troy or Lisa were very prompt notifying us to get all issues resolved quickly and completely. The Parker team was very good at keeping the build process running smoothly and efficiently. We were never waiting on permits, approvals or scheduling to keep the project moving. They were on top of things and again, were very prompt to inform us of potential issues or impending decisions relating to the build. Parker Homes is also very focused on providing a high quality home. They met with us at the home site whenever we needed to talk through a challenge or just to review progress. Our special requests were handled with care and professionalism. The subcontractors used by Parker were skilled and diligent craftsmen. From foundation to plumbers, framers, electricians, cabinet makers and more, all took pride in their work and it showed. After talking with some of our neighbors and hearing their stories of difficulties with their builders, it just makes us more grateful to have found Troy and Lisa Parker to make our first build a great experience.

We are very picky on details having built homes and major additions in the past. But new to Texas, we were nervous not knowing any builders. We live in an HOA community with very strict codes. We met with Troy & Lisa and that all changed. From our first get to know each other meeting to the final walk through, Troy & Lisa were great! They handled all are never ending questions throughout the project with ease and handled every detail like it was their own home. The contractors from frame to finishing were focused on detail through every step. At days end, the construction site inside and out was swept clean. The city inspectors went out of their way to tell us that they very impressed with the attention to detail on every phase. From architect to framers to electrical & plumbing, drywall to roofing to painting. Our addition needed to fit the HOA standards. Our neighbors and community have told us that the addition is a perfect match in every detail! We love our new space with the crafted wet bar, study built ins and our coffered ceilings. Building a custom home can be a stressful undertaking but Troy and Lisa Parker put us at ease, took the worry away and made it an enjoyable experience! From creating custom house plans all the way to completion of our home, they took our vision and made it reality! They were always available for any of our questions or concerns every step of the way. The quality and craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding! We love everything about our new home especially the kitchen, dining sitting area and of course the beautiful pool! It’s a long trip from concept to completion. Creating a home with charm and comfort was our goal. Troy and Lisa Parker were instrumental in helping us get there. They were there every step of the way. On-site at every important step. Not only did they manage all the contractors and vendors seamlessly, but they advised and guided us through the many design decisions. They made suggestions which we thought were spot-on. Attention to detail was very good. Every call and text was answered promptly. We love how it turned out. It feels inviting and comfortable. There are a lot of contractors who can build a house with no more input than a set of plans. Working with an owner/designer to complete a custom home is another matter. You need a builder with a lot of experience, great organizational skills, patients, and the personal skills necessary to help guide your ideas to completion. Troy and Lisa were able to turn our ordinary backyard into an oasis. Our project began with wanting a simple pool, and enclosed porch, and pool house, then a road, an RV pad, and a fully landscaped and fenced in backyard! We wanted to select a company that could manage the full scope of our project, and work with us on the details, changes, etc. along the way, while still managing to maintain our budget. Parker Homes was the only company to bid on this project who managed to meet all of our requirements. When Troy and Lisa came to discuss our project, they came prepared. They brought an initial copy of our project plans, and were able to review it with us and ask and answer numerous questions to really get to know what we wanted. They brought samples magazines to get to know what kind of style we liked. I got the feeling we weren’t just interviewing them, they were interviewing us so they could really come to understand what we wanted even more so than we did. Throughout the entire project, they worked side by side with us, discussing each phase and what we could expect, and even more importantly, they listened and incorporated our input into everything along the way. We were already living in Havenwood and wanted to stay in the neighborhood and build a more custom home. We met with Troy and Lisa and they agreed to build our home. After looking at several lots with Troy we finally found “the one”. They listened and guided us even when we were unsure and went back and forth more than once. We had told them we needed a specific move in date for our Air Force son to come home for Christmas and they made that happen. They are true professionals and really just great down to earth people. With their knowledge and experience we now have a beautiful home we love. We really enjoyed working with them and would highly recommend the Parker’s to anyone looking to build.

We recently had a beautiful custom home built by the Parkers. My husband and I were extremely impressed by the excellent craftsmanship and the attention to detail that the Parkers demonstrated in the construction. Both Troy and Lisa brought a team approach to the building of our house, from their close cooperation with our architect, their assistance with the selection of an outstanding interior designer, and the benefit of both of their opinions when we were uncertain about something. Their attention to quality was very impressive. It was important to us to stay within our budget, and we can’t say enough about how helpful they were in meeting this goal. Our home has a number of unique, custom touches – antique stained glass transoms, antique doors – and they made all of this work. Their communication style is calm and friendly. In short, they built us a gorgeous home. We loved working with them and would highly recommend them to anyone building a home.

We thoroughly enjoyed building our house with Parker Homes and would happily build with them again if ever needed. We originally chose them because they were competitive with their pricing and the easiest to talk to. They seemed to share the same thoughts and qualities that we had which makes the relationship easier. We also called some of their past customers all of which raved about them. Lisa and Troy are ethical, respectable people and that comes through in their work. We loved that they work together as a team and each brought a different perspective. Parker Homes did a fantastic job for us! Our house was completed on time and on budget. Moreover, they were flexible when we added changes to our home. They communicated with us and we never had any issues with contacting them. Our lot was clean and our home was well looked after through the building process. After 34 years of marriage and many moves we were finally ready to put down roots and build our forever home and we are so happy that Troy and Lisa Parker agreed to partner with us on this project! They are a great team with Troy's experience and knowledge of the industry and Lisa's strong organizational skills keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes and managing the budget. We are thrilled with our beautiful home and feel so blessed that we get to live here.
