Pearl Schaar listened to our thoughts and ideas throughout the professional design process. She knew how to navigate the building permit process, engineering codes, construction process, and is an expert in modern home design. We are living in our dream home, thanks to Pelletier & Schaar.

Worked with Pelletier and Schaar to design our home on Camano Island. Their design exceeded our expectations and fully took advantage of our lot and views. They created a beautiful indoor/outdoor feel throughout the house. Creative and very collaborative team to work with. Appreciated their knowledge of material and use of color.

We recently underwent a complete kitchen, dining room and laundry room remodel that was quite extensive. The team at Pelletier + Schaar offered solutions to spatial design challenges, were timely on revisions to our requests and changes, were flexible in working around our availability and time schedules, handled the permitting process for us, and provided excellent advice and service! Pearl Schaar was the project leader and she did an outstanding job! We are over the moon in love with our newly renovated home and are very thankful to Pearl and her team at Pelletier + Schaar!

Holbeck Construction & Design, Inc. has worked with Pelletier + Schaar for many years. They are very talented architects and great communicators. When it came time to build our own personal home we chose them to do the design and have been very happy with outcome.

They do not listen. They change architects without notice. They do not understand local codes and design work that needs to be changed because it does not meet codes. We were very disappointed with their services and strongly advise against using them

Poor customer service. Did not listen and were late for every meeting. Hired them for a remodel to add a tub and was charged $1200 for plans that did not even include a tub.

Pearl was extremely valuable during our 7-month renovation! We were living out of state during the first few months of the reno and she kept us updated with status emails, phone calls, and on a timeline. I would email my likes and preferences from viewing Houzz photos and she understood exactly what I wanted. She would interpret my vision into actual ideas and suggestions. thank you so much! We love our home!

David Pelletier and Pearl Schaar have played a key role in 3 projects I have built on Camano Island. In choosing any Architect, you have to recognize their "style" and work from there. I appreciate their "style" of design and they are very easy to work with. My projects all involved Shoreline Permits and Archeological Permits, which David and Pearl are very familiar with... Their level of detail can be tailored to your needs and experience. You always ask the simple question: Would you use them again... ABSOLUTELY !!!

I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it is (and continues to be) working with Pearl Schaar of Pelletier and Schaar. She has been instrumental with her design consultations from kitchen cabinet paint colors to wall colors throughout our home. The vision she had for our great room is what made our house a home. Her design plan for our master bathroom was phenomenal. She is dedicated and so easygoing to work with; all the way down to helping shop for furniture and area rugs to define spaces. We get complements all the time when people come over about how nice everything looks, and I credit it to Pearl. She truly cares for your happiness. Her calm and friendly demeanor is what got us successfully through our first home remodel. Thank you, Pearl!

Pearl's passion and love for architecture and design is apparent in every design she has ever done for us. Her unique approach and understanding of space, light, color, and functionality together with ambience and comfort is such a treasure! Several friends and guests have oohed and awed over my home and requested the name of the architect because they "just couldn't get over the feeling they had when in my home, simple design touches that create such a fabulous space". We would highly recommend Pearl to anybody lucky enough to get onto her schedule.

My husband and I recently enlisted the services of Pelletier + Schaar for a remodel we are set to begin in the Spring of 2017. We have had such a great experience, especially for being our first time venturing into using an architectural firm. Pearl is amazing and in tune with what we are looking for and even recommended some builders for us, in which we found a good fit. I would HIGHLY recommend this firm for any services.
