Peter wasn’t afraid to make design and structural changes that the “professional” bathroom designer said couldn’t be done in our space, and we almost doubled the size of the project. With unanticipated additional space, we needed more cabinets than we had originally purchased. Peter crafted additional cabinet units and finished them to look exactly like the custom cabinets. Though he wasn’t a “general contractor” (and didn’t want to be), he performed as one and dealt with the plumber and tile man on the project, coordinating their schedules so they wouldn’t interfere with each other. The measurements he provided the Corian fabricator for the sink counter, steam shower enclosure and whirlpool deck were precise, and the fabricator commented that he had never before received such accurate figures. All the Corian fit perfectly, without any adjustments. Peter is a perfectionist and will make changes and adjustments until he is satisfied. I was usually satisfied with his work long before he was! He left the project cleaned up every evening before he went home. Though an electrician by training, Peter excelled in everything he attempted—electrical, carpentry, and even painting. In 2006, when we bought a new double oven, we discovered that it was wider than the one it replaced and wouldn’t fit into the old oven’s custom cabinet. Peter came out and adjusted the cabinet to accommodate the new oven. Another fiasco avoided, thanks to Peter Cardwell. Oh, and he is friendly, likable and polite.

I have worked with PGP Group on several Projects during the past 2 years. Peter Cardwell is one of the best Contractors that I have ever worked with. I have always found him to be professional, dedicated, creative, and will always go the extra mile to meet my expectations, while meeting the budget and timeline that we have set in place. His construction and attention to detail is second to none and the fit and finish of his product is outstanding. Peter is a perfectionist and you will not be disappointed. My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Peter!

We have known Peter Cardwell for over five years and have hired him for various home improvement projects during that time. After an initial phone call for a project, he comes out to look things over, take notes, offer input, etc. Will then email an estimate with drawings if applicable. Each project we have worked on has turned out better than expected because of his input. He is very detail oriented and knowledgeable, both as an electrician and construction in general. Whether the job is small or large, he is truly a perfectionist about his work, and has even returned on his own time to finish small details. The largest project we hired Peter for was a a basement remodeling. It was complex because it involved moving plumbing, hot water heater etc. to maximize the available space. We heavily relied on his expertise in the design of the basement, and the results were amazing. It was a messy job with drywall, etc. He took a lot of care to protect rugs, and cleaned up the work area every day before he left. We can't say enough good things about Peter, he's definitely our first choice for any and all home improvements. His work will speak for itself, but he's also a pleasure to work with.
