I have managed and built the Chicago Botanic Garden’s building and garden projects for over 30 years. In that time frame, I have work with world-renowned architects and landscape architects. After working with a number of firms, I can say that Raycroft Meyer Landscape Architecture is one of the finest professional firms I have ever worked with. They have designed the Garden’s Main Entry Master Plan and a number of individual gardens. They are an excellent design firm. I stop and admire their gardens every time I am at the Garden. I worked with Katie Raycroft Meyer on the re-creation of a rather large perennial garden. She was a pleasure to work with and had creative ideas and suggestions. Katie listened with respect and understanding. She incorporated my suggestions and requests thoughtfully and enthusiastically. She worked closely and cooperatively with the hardscape designer. Katie's design was sensitive to color, size, upkeep, cost, and future growth, and she was directly involved in the choice and placement of plants.
