I have used Paula At NewLeaf Redesign many times over the years. Paula is a true professional, educated, creative, talented and an excellent communicator. Paula works within clients' budgets without compromising her vision. With more than 30 years as a real estate broker, I have seen many transformations, yet Paula's talent still "wows" me and the general public. Paula is the reason I insist a property needs to be staged for the market. Many of my clients have been so impressed with Paula they hire her to design their new interior.

Paula and her team completely understood my antique home and staged it to make sense for potential buyers. Her thoughtful approach to design is unique and spot on. The house sold within weeks of the staging - even during the holiday season! I recommend her without hesitation for staging.

I have never written a Houzz review, but New Leaf Redesign's artful, creative and practical design services are worth sharing with fellow Houzz readers. I first worked successfully with Paula at New Leaf Redesign in 2016 on staging my MA home for sale. In October 2018, I contracted with Paula again. This time Paula was asked to be an integral part of the architect/build/design team for the renovation of my current home, brought about by the need to create a beautiful ADA-compliant space to accommodate my elderly parents. During construction, Paula was an integral part of the design team. As the project progressed, Paula sourced ADA-friendly (and lovely) furnishings, window treatments, light fixtures, wood treatments, etc., all within the color palette she helped me create. While home renovation is never easy, when the finishing touches are complete and the house is once again your own, it's incredibly gratifying to know your family loves the renovated space. Not only does my family love the space she helped create, the renovation functions beautifully and better than intended. To accept the compliments of virtually every visitor on the beauty of my home is so gratifying, but the compliments really belong to Paula...as do these 5 Houzz stars! This is a long overdue thank you to you Paula and New Leaf Redesign from all of us!

We have used New Leaf Redesign for many projects in our homes over the last 5 years. It began with a tricky room for furniture layout to staging our home for sale. Recently we have used New Leaf Redesign for design services for a major remodel of our kitchen, bath, and study. We were so pleased with the outcome of each project with New Leaf Redesign. Paula listens tentatively, makes her own suggestions and the finished product looks great, within budget, on time and fun to do. Often overwhelmed with options, Paula is skilled in quickly assessing the needs, space, light, functionality and budget to narrow the options to just a handful, making decision making a breeze. She is flexible in her approach to each project and client. I have and will continue to recommend New Leaf Redesign.

I interviewed a number of stagers for this property. While other stagers wanted to merely furnish the space, Paula immediately grasped the challenges with this particular property and came up with concrete and actionable ideas to show the property in the best possible light, manage its challenges, and present the lifestyle concept we needed to maximize the sales price. To her credit, she also additionally suggested that we not stage many rooms since spending the additional money in staging those spaces would not necessarily give us enough return to justify the costs. I feel comfortable saying that she materially contributed to the sales price achieved, the highest in the nieghborhood.

We have now been working with Paula for eight years since she staged our former house to successfully sell within weeks. We liked Paula right away and were drawn to her design style, reliability and friendlly personality. Paula has been helping us decorate our current house and we are so happy with the results! Paula has always been professional, approachable and enthusiastic yet patient and willing to work within our budget and timelines. Paula has helped us with everything from paint color decisions to rearranging our own furniture and artwork, to fully decorating rooms from from top to bottom including furniture, rugs, accessories, lighting and window treatments. She always takes time to understand our vision and uses her extensive knowledge and experience to create a design that pleases both my husband and I (even when our likes or dislikes are different). Paula really wants the space to feel like home while reflecting the design style we envision. I would highly reccommend Paula and look forward to continuing to work with her on our home.

Paula was invaluable in helping me give a major face-lift to my newly acquired 1880's home! It was adorable with great bones but full of pink paint and chintzy wallpaper. I didn't know where to begin! Paula gave me great guidance on everything. We changed the overall pallet of the home - every room got a new paint color or wallpaper; ripped out a brick hearth and woodstove to completely redesign the hearth and create a faux fireplace; removed all window treatments and replaced with Paula's suggestions of blinds and shutters; and brought in completely new furnishings. Paula was there for advice, guidance and major decision-making every step of the way. The place looks amazing and I could not have done it without her! It also feels like MY taste, but she gave me the confidence to make it happen. If you are looking for someone to help clarify your vision and work hand-in-hand with you make great design decisions, she is your go-to girl!

Our expectations were high when we hired Paula for this project because she’s proven her ability and talent on previous jobs. This particular challenge was unique for us because it involved marketing the finished product to potential buyers rather than working with an existing homeowner. Paula took into consideration the need to appeal to the majority but still keep the effect interesting. Her color palette stayed neutral yet warm and attractive. She was reasonable yet extremely affective with the lighting design and fixtures. The finishes were admired by all 100+ people who visited during the open houses. Ultimately she steered us away from our temptation to ‘go colorful’ which would likely have been detrimental to the sale. We put our trust in Paula once again and she listened carefully to what our goals were and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The house had multiple offers and went under contract shortly after hitting the market. We highly recommend New Leaf Redesign.

I could not recommend Paula/New Leaf Redesign more highly! We first hired Paula to help us with choosing some paint colors and updating some things in our home. She helped guide our decisions, and even chose items for us when we wanted her to. She has an unbelievable eye for color and design, and was able to hone in on our style almost immediately (even before we could). We then hired her to "stage" our house for sale. It looked so fabulous after her redesign that I didn't even want to move! She helped us with many decisions for our new house and wouldn't think of using anyone else if we need design assistance in the future.

Paula Gaul, the owner of New Leaf Design is awesome. I'm addicted to her services. I hired her three years ago when I wanted to stage my house prior to selling it. After Paula staged my house, it never looked better! My realtor told me my living room looked like the advertisement for a furniture store. We received an almost full price offer on day three. Then I moved into my new house which required some updating. Prior to move in Paula came over and walked the house with me. She then designed and assembled an entire paint layout for every room in the house. You can spend days, weeks obsessing over colors or you can call Paula. The plan she provided brought in a soothing color pallete to our home. Once that was completed she desigend the living room which we love. When people walk in my home they say it feels very tranquil which is just the feeling I wanted. My home was also on the Christmas House Tour in Salem in 2013. You can see some pictures of the house on this site. Several people on the tour wanted to know about the interior colors which Paula had selected. I can't say enough about Paula. She is a super talented designer. She meets deadlines and is very fun to work with. Paula has worked on several other projects with me. She is a joy to work with and I highly recommend Paula.

I hired Paula and her team to stage a very large home that was vacant. From the paint colors to the furnishings she was unbelievable! Paula is a wonderful person to work with and she really goes the extra mile to find just the right piece of furniture for each area of a home. She is very conscientous about working within a budget and utilizing the items a client may already own. She is very tactful, genuine and honest.
