Action Builders is a company you can trust for all home remodels. Continuity & building relationships are key to success of long term projects. Our house remodel in Peters Township started in December 2013 and completed in June 2014. Our relationship with Action Builders has continued over the years, first for some addition 'touch ups' and then some additional small projects, we continue to return to Action Builders. The continuity, reliability, and craftsmanship has remained the same over the years. They have extended the workforce but the relationship building remains the same. Early on during home ownership it was difficult to identify companies to do the work then have them back up the work. Once we found Action Builders those issues are no longer a concern. It's comfort to know if we have a 'house question or concern' all we need to do is send out an email to Action Builders and we receive a response with 24-48hours. The value of having a 'house consultant' is huge.

I wanted to share my experience with Dina and Alexa at Action Builders through the planning and design phases of a renovation project. Being first timers with a project of this scale, my husband and I felt extremely comfortable with the transparency and communication with both Dina and Alexa. We had a vision as to how best maximize our kitchen (a smaller kitchen in an older home) and Alexa IMPROVED upon what we had envisioned. The planning, field measurement, and design review was painless and we felt our concerns and questions were swiftly addressed. The contract was easy to understand and we felt a reasonable price and time frame of completion. We can't wait to finish the project!

We used Action Builders for a kitchen and garage addition. The team took great care to help design something that fit with our existing structure and provided everything we were looking for in a new kitchen.

Action Builders was great to work with. They were a huge help with the long process of zoning and permitting with the city of Pittsburgh. They took care of all the details for us and kept us in the loop. Once the project started their teams were great. There were a few unexpected things that came about (just like in any remodel) but Action Builders were quick to provide solutions. We are very pleased with our 2 story addition with a whole new kitchen. Action Builder has great craftsmanship and a great team! Thank you for all the hard work. The end product was work everything we went through!

We hired Action Builders to replace an open deck with a covered porch on our home. They did a great job of designing the porch, with many amenities, and they matched everything perfectly. My neighbors have all commented that “it looks like it has always been there”. They were easy to work with and very responsive.

We hired Action Builders for a 2 story addition, kitchen remodel, and small deck on our 100+ year old Squirrel Hill home (see their "Squirrel Hill Addition" pics). This was a big project and took about 9 months from start to finish. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and you could tell our lead carpenter cared about his work. The price was very competitive and quite a bit less than some other contractors we had out for estimates. We would absolutely use them again (and plan to).

Great craftsmanship and great crew, project completed on schedule and on budget. Completed a first floor addition including a bedroom, bathroom, family room, and beautiful kitchen. Highly recommend!

We have contracted with Action Builders three times, in three years, on three different projects. They constructed our new deck and a small addition; remodeled our kitchen, and most recently replaced our front porch and entry door. Every time Action Builders finishes a project, we are excited about the results, and start thinking about the next one. Every project has been carried out by Action Builder’s skilled and experienced crew, including subcontractors. From initial consultation to final pick list, we are constantly impressed by the professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to details from everyone. We just have to say….Elizabeth is a fantastic Project Manager! They respect our project budgets, and work with us to ensure we are comfortable with the scope of work, materials, and costs. They respect our decisions about each project, but give professional guidance and suggestions when we ask, or when it’s appropriate to work through a project challenge. With his years of construction experience, we trust Randy’s input completely. Randy and Elizabeth personally visit the worksites, making sure the job is being completed to their expectations, as well as the customers’. One of our favorite things is how conscientious they are about keeping the site tidy; we can count on someone coming by to pick up construction debris without us having to say a word! Any concerns either during or after completion have been addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. They have exceeded our expectations on more than one occasion, which keeps us coming back and we do not hesitate to refer other people to Action Builders any chance we get. Very Satisfied Customers!!

Action Builders helped us transform an attic space into two bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry room to accommodate our growing family. Working with them was truly a pleasure. They listened carefully to our needs/wants, offered great advice, and produced the highest quality work. When code issues required design changes, they worked hard with us to find compromises; and they stand behind their work with an excellent warranty. Marty and Joy were thoughtful, friendly, and skilled. By the end of the project, they felt like family friends (and our dog couldn't wait to see them every morning!). We look forward to our next project with them - we wouldn't think of hiring anyone else.

We could not be happier with our experience with Action Builders. From the first meeting with Elizabeth and during the renovation they were responsive and listened to our ideas. Our kitchen renovation was completed on budget and on schedule. We were quoted 8 weeks from start to completion and they were done within 1 week of this estimate. Marty was our lead contractor and he was very communicative regarding schedule during the renovation. Action Builders was not the least expensive bid we received but we were immensely happy with our job and our choice to use their services

Action Builders completed our large, 2016 kitchen remodel and 3-st. addition. Construction is messy - especially when you're living in the construction site. Action Builders went out of their way to make the process as easy as possible for us, and on top of that, did absolutely beautiful work. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Action Builders worked with me and my family to completely transform a total dump of a house into a neighborhood jewel. Their crew was respectful and never missed a day of work. We were in a very tight time crunch and they delivered everything I asked. They are truly a blend of designers, engineers and construction pros. If I could, I'd hire them to come back and do more and more to our home. They absolutely know what they are doing and have a very high taste level. They did an addition with a new kitchen and master suite, all new windows, new exterior, new floors, whole first floor paint and mechanicals.
