The design consultation was WORTH EVERY PENNY! In particular I was trying to solve the riddle of the rug size in my living room; and walking through the options and visualizing with Pamela helped me tremendously; and mostly from spending unnecessary money on something that might not enhance the space! Beyond that, we discussed how to dress windows with a challenging configuration, and some concepts for a few other small spaces that helped me rule out certain ideas and move forward on others. Her thoughts on what I was trying to do got me out of being stuck and able to proceed with confidence. She is an incredible listener, is extremely knowledgeable and such a nice person! I have had the pleasure of working with Pamela Neel Interiors for over 10 years and 2 houses. Recently I had Pam help me refresh a bathroom, laundry room and great room. Our master bedroom and guest bedroom are absolutely STUNNING! My husband and I recently hired Pam Neel to design our master bedroom and a guest room in our home. This is the 2nd project we have worked on with Pam Neel Interiors. We previously hired Pam to design our condo in St. Augustine. She did such an amazing job with the condo that we had no doubt she would do the same for us in our home. Pam is so talented! Her eye for design and her design knowledge are exceptional. Pam is so easy to work with and made the design process so easy for us. She is extremely organized and pays great attention to detail. We have an extremely awkward staircase that had to be considered when choosing all the furniture. She measured everything several times and resolved the issue by hiring an expert to hoist the larger furniture over a balcony into our loft to bypass the staircase. Our master bedroom and guest room look like they should be on the cover of a magazine. They are simply gorgeous and turned out better than we could have imagined. Pamela came to our new beach home that we have listed on Airbnb to help me think of ways to improve the overall look of the home for our family and for guests. The home came furnished and is a fairly recent build. I knew it didn't need a complete renovation but there were some things that just "didn't look right". Having her design expertise to advise me on some of the thoughts and ideas I had considered was invaluable. She has ability to see what will work in a space and what won't work in a space that can save you tons of money if you consult with her prior to making any changes. I came away from our meeting with multiple actionable items that I can do to improve the look of the home while staying within a budget. I am very grateful for Pamela's expertise and will definitely be consulting with her again before I make any major decorating changes to the beach home or to my primary home!

I had a design consultation with Pam and she is amazing! I’ve never used an interior designer before and it was so insightful. My needs were centered around furniture selection and placement. She made me understand what else goes into this decision and saved me from so many mistakes. Her fee will honestly save me so much money long term. In October, 2023 we moved out of a 3300 SF home and into a 1750 SF home.. First off, what were we thinking?? Remind me (every day) WHY we did this?! We brought tooo much furniture and needless to say I have been overwhelmed with what to get rid of and how to achieve the look I want. Well, the calvary arrived at my front door yesterday in the form of Pam Neel. I reached out to her based on her reviews. She called me back and we chatted for quite awhile, and she suggested I go on HOUZZ and look at rooms I needed help with, save them and she would have a look before we got together so she had a sense of my taste. She arrived on time and we got down to it almost immediately. The three hours we spent together were eye opening and nerve settling. She told me where to begin and where not to begin. What to do first and what to do last so I don't "back into" a situation. I was getting ready to do things in the wrong order.. We reviewed my saves on HOUZZ and looked at what made sense for MY house and why. Everything she said made sense. Now I am ready to move forward with some choices I was afraid to execute. Pamela came to my home for a two-hour consultation yesterday. I am still in awe of all the great ideas she came up with to unify my challenging great room space. She also helped me pull together our primary suite, guest suite and powder room. I wish I had contacted her sooner, before I made some of the decisions I made on my own! But I have already implemented some of her suggestions and I’m so happy with the noticeable improvement. I had the chance to meet with Pamela today for a consultation, specifically to discuss some areas in our house that we haven't been able to figure out the best way to lay out. Prior to the consultation, I spoke with Pamela on the phone for an overview of what we were looking for. She followed up quickly with emails, and sent reminders and confirmations for the appointment. She was on-time and prepared for the appointment; familiar with the spaces from the photos I had sent, and with the things I had saved on the vision board; and even had some sketches of ideas for the space. She was able to provide me with some really good guidance on how to lay out a difficult space in the house. She really listened to the needs and wants of our family to provide recommendations that met our needs. She gave me a lot of valuable information on how to go about creating those spaces on my own; since we weren't looking to do full design services. She was able to answer all my questions fully and professionally and took the time to make sure I understood terms and ideas that may not have been familiar. I really felt like once she left I had a good direction to go in to create a beautiful, functional space.

Pam has been a joy to work with! She had me use Houzz to build inspiration boards and to get a sense of my style and it was so helpful in her choosing the right furniture and fixtures for our new home. Pam designed, decorated, and space planned our kitchen, dining room, great room, and foyer (all the common areas) and we could not be happier with how it turned out! She was always punctual, professional, provided status updates, set clear expectations on next steps, and all of the vendors she works with were amazing too!! She also advised on fixtures and planning at our builders design center so that everything came out looking fabulous! Again, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pam and her team and so if you are looking for someone to be your design champion and deliver on your vision, you MUST choose Pam! My husband and I bought a condo in St. Augustine, FL and decided to gut the entire thing. After the construction phase was finished (much later than expected due to supply chain issues and materials being extremely hard to find), it became clear to me that I needed to hire someone to help with the interior design part of the renovation. My husband and I made the decision to downsize. We moved into a home we love though it has a few challenges with the layout. I recently purchased a new construction house with an open concept floor plan. I reached out to Pam for some much needed guidance on putting these rooms together. Pam responded quickly and on our initial phone call spent a good deal of time asking questions about our issues and expectations. I hired Pam for the 2 hour design consultation. The Houzz app allowed me to share some room ideas with her. We had purchased some furniture and lighting fixtures prior to contacting Pam. The ideal situation would have been to call in the expert initially, before making any purchases, but Pam was honest and informative and was able to guide us through each space with some great design advice. She answered all my questions including colors, wall decor, window treatments, furniture placement. She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I’m excited to be able to finish this project with the expert design ideas that Pam provided!

We have just finished building our dream home and I was feeling exhausted and overwhelmed after this nearly 3 year process! We had three floors to decorate and needed almost all new furniture. Pam saved my sanity helping me with the entire house. We have a narrow lot and definitely had some spacing issues. She is wonderful with listening to what you want and needed determines what size furniture will fit in your space and then researches options for you. She always gave me lots of options to choose from so i was still very much a part of the process! She responds quickly and keeps you informed throughout the project. There have been shortages and long lead times with Covid, but Pam has followed up and even found other options for us in case we wanted to change course. I can't recommend Pam enough!

I want to tell you what a wonderful value it was having a consultation with Pam . My husband and I were trying to buy a waterfront house in this crazy market and had made several offers unsuccessfully. We ended up feeling pressured into buying a house that needed a lot of work and that I really didn't care for regarding the lay out. The flow of the house didn't work for me and I felt stuck. I have never been in a place financially where I could spend the kind of money that that hiring a designer would normally require. But I knew I was going to have to do something and crying about my purchase, while perhaps therapeutic, did not solve my problem. It occurred to me that I didn't need to hire a designer to furnish and renovate, but I definitely needed a designer to give me some professional opinions on what would help this house flow and feel inviting-which it most definitely did not. I reached out to Pam through Houzz. I felt immensely relieved when she agreed to meet with me. And the whole process was so helpful. From the homework she gave me prior to meeting, to the actual 2 hour consultation, the whole process grounded me and really ended up being the most valuable time and money spent. I decided that since I was paying her to give me trained and professional advice-that I would listen and try to apply everything she imparted to me in the two hours. When she arrived I threw every concern I had at her, talking a million miles a minute as I knew two hours just wasn't enough. She didn't bat an eye. She jumped right into my chaos and addressed and validated my every concern with grace and understanding. She made a daunting task manageable. And while I made mistakes it certainly turned out better with the consult than I could have ever done on my own and I went from hating the house to loving it. Thank you Pam!

Pam was a great sounding board to share my ideas. Many people are afraid to hire a designer or decorator because of the cost, but working with one can actually save you money in the end. Working with pam was especially helpful, as she is available on a consultation-basis, which is a great option if one is on a limited budget or already has ideas in progress. Pam is easy to talk to, open to sharing ideas, and has a great design aesthetic.

I engaged Pam for a consultation. She spent more than 30 minutes on the phone before the in home meeting, really trying to understand what I want to accomplish as was as advising me about the process. During the in-home meeting she, we walked the rooms and discussed some of the challenges and options for the space. What I enjoyed about our conversation was her taking "real life" into consideration (dogs, kids, etc). She was relatable and professional and left me with some great ideas on how to approach my projects. I plan on engaging her for future consultations.

We recently purchased a home in the St. Augustine area. The flow of the home was a little challenging to say the least. We needed help and idea generation on how to define the space for certain rooms, what paint colors and shaped rugs to use, and window treatment ideas. All of these elements were discussed to help make our Spanish Mediterranean home come to life. I had a really great experience working first with Pam for a “small” job, which then ultimately lead to a much larger project down the road. Initially, I needed to find a local designer to help create a big picture interior design plan for a new house build: choosing tile, cabinetry, flooring, etc. Once the house was almost complete, we again worked together to make selections (furniture, lighting, draperies, decor etc) for the kitchen, dining room, great room, and powder room. Initially I spoke with Pam to review my goals and style preferences. We used Houzz Ideabooks to best convey ideas. Then Pam presented back a plan which included space layout. We also worked together at a local furniture store to review specific items. Overall I found Pam was very good at responding to what I was looking for and what would work well for our lifestyle - she identified the best options and offered multiple alternatives based on my budget. The final product exceeds my families hopes for the new home.

You may think a designer is beyond your budget but Pam proves that incorrect! While Pam can design your whole house, she can also help you make decisions on smaller projects and can work with you on an hourly basis. Pam gave me a lot of different ideas to consider and helped me re-evaluate my existing furnishings and reconsider future remodeling plans. Pam is very friendly and easy to work with. Do not be intimidated by a designer! It is affordable for most every budget and will help you avoid costly mistakes.

My experience with Pam was not only everything I hoped for, it was much more. I can't recommend her enough to anyone who is building a house, or decorating a home. I selected Pam after (1) realizing my collection of home decorating books and magazines never really taught me how to bring textures, materials, and colors together; and (2) pouring over websites of various interior designers in Jax, seeking one who conveyed warmth, class, and style. By working with Pam I can honestly say that I avoided making stupid, and costly, design decisions. Decisions that would have left me full of regret. More importantly, the vision that I have for my home is actually going to be realized, and I'm not going to end up with a hodge lodge disaster (which I sensed was exactly where I was heading, cue the sleepless nights). The style of my house is not typical for the area, and has been difficult to convey to others during this process. Pam, however, through a series of thoughtful questions, was able to help ME better understand my own vision for the house, and then help guide me to bring that vision to life. This particular talent of Pam's is rare and exceedingly valuable. Pam is just wonderful! She took the time to come over and spend over 2 hours with me to guide me on where to start, and what to do, with our dining room. Decorating is far from my expertise, and I was honestly nervous about contacting someone in fear I’d be spending buckets of money we don’t currently have (to spend on such projects). Pam is skilled enough to work with anyone, any project, and any budget. Whether your budget is $1000 or $10,000 she’ll be able to guide you with ideas or help you throughout the entire project. Right now my husband and I have decided to take her fantastic ideas and see what we can do on our own. I had a 2 hour consultation with Pam to discuss an upcoming home project to furnish and freshen up my dining/living rooms. She was respectful of my time. I found her insights to be extremely practical as well as trendy. I felt at ease discussing different phases of the project with her. Pam is organized and has a project manager's mindset; which are attributes I greatly appreciate as a scientist. I'm so excited about working with Pam early next year.

In order for a job to be completed to meet the customers expectations, I need to know what the overall look is to represent. Pam is extraordinarily thorough in her instructions. I know from the very beginning what the ultimate goal/look is to be. Pam often includes me in the planning and measuring, especially in unusual or technical applications and installations. I have found her to be open to my suggestions, so that the look she wants to achieve can actually be properly installed and function flawlessly. Working with Pam is, and always has been a pleasant experience. I know this often happens without the customer ever seeing all the puzzle pieces. Regardless, the end product has to be excellent, our customers deserve it. No matter the unseen extra effort Pam puts into each project, she will do whatever it takes, to make it excellent!

Pam was great. I live overseas and have recently bought a beach condo that needs a full gut remodel. I will be renting the condo and be using it for family vacations. So I needed help to make it durable and renter-friendly and also nice for my own personal use. Pam was great in helping me whittle down options such as flooring, paint, counter materials, etc. She pointed out design considerations that would save money in the long run. Being overseas, she was very flexible to work with me over the phone and by sharing ideas via Houzz. I contacted Pam for assistance with my home office. The room is small and 3 of the 4 walls are broken up with double windows, double closet doors and the entry door. After working on the spacing challenges for months on my own, I realized I needed some expert advice. Pam reviewed the spacing issues with an in-home consultation and offered several different engagement approaches. I had the option to engage her for consultation assistance to offer recommendations for me to decorate the office but I elected to engage her for the entire project, design to procurement. Pam had great ideas for the space and I look forward to working with her to complete the space. Update: The home office is complete. Pam designed a truly functional and lovely space. Update: Pam designed a beautiful space for our living room. Her process was very collaborative, and this being our time really working with a designer, that was important to us. Our style is uniquely ours, and it was important that it come through, and it does. We couldn't be more pleased. My husband and I had a 2-hour consultation with Pam, at our new home. We recently purchased a home with oddly angled rooms, huge windows and lots of 1990s wallpaper (paisley and big bold florals), and we weren't really sure where to start. She gave us wonderful advice, and a clear path forward. We will definitely work with Pam again in the future. She's easy to talk to, has amazing design ideas, and is extremely professional. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer.

My husband and I are building our dream house. After signing the contract, we were told we could visit the design center before the first design review. After the first two-hour session, we were so overwhelmed that my husband suggested we look for a designer to assist us. I found Pamela Neel on Houzz. Pamela and I first spoke on the phone and reviewed what my husband I were trying to accomplish. I explained the first thing was the selection process for the house. She came to the next session with the builder and then her next step was for her to see my current home and what we were planning to bring to the new home. Pamela then met us at our subsequent planned meetings with the builder at the design center and gave us good advice on design, color and style. When we got to the lighting phase, I did an initial selection with the representative at the lighting store and sent Pamela the link to review the choices. Pamela and I then met at the store to review the finishes. She has helped us immensely from the color selection to the flow of the pattern of the tile throughout the house and matching the right color for carpet for in adjoining rooms. She has given us “the big picture” of the flow of color and style as we move through the house so it is consistent. We are now discussing the next phases of our house project – selecting the pool and pavers next and then afterwards the interior furnishings. She spells out the options a client has very well so they can select the best path to take for their project and budget. She is very project plan oriented and organized and emphasizes that the client needs to have a budget to work around. It has been a pleasure working with Pamela her organization and attention to detail has made this purchase much less stressful than it started it out to be! We met in June 2017 for furniture selection and Pam was organized and had fabric samples and some ideas already picked out when I arrived. In one day we ordered TV, kitchen a and game room furniture. In another stage we used the selected fabrics from the furniture to do the drapes. The furniture came in stages as it was constructed from the various companies and everything started to fall into place. The drapes are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I have privacy sheers that are well hidden. The powder bath was a "mini project" that Pam and I worked on - she found a great washable sea grass and mirror to go with the the light I found for the bath. Her amazing installer Pat Sullivan even matched paint on the screws of the covered outlets so they matched! Pam and the people that work with her pay attention to detail, quality and deliver on time and do follow-up. Our house is what we wanted - a relaxing place to visit with a comfortable TV room, a great TV room adjoining the kitchen. Our furniture is of good quality and will last. I hope to do some more "mini-projects" in my house with Pam and her team! We love our new home!

I cannot speak highly enough about my interaction with Pamela. I am looking to have the living room in my new home furnished/decorated, but having never hired a professional for interior design services, I was unsure where to start. Pam is the best! This was my second time working with Pam and her team. For this project, our open plan kitchen/family room needed updating to be more family-friendly and "light" without doing any major remodeling. Due to the traditional style of existing cabinetry and fireplace, this was difficult task. It was also crucial to balance function and style as this is where my family spends most of our time. To achieve these design goals, Pam introduced design elements and new ideas that had not even been considered originally. In addition, her expertise and guidance helped me through the selection process of furniture upholstery, pillow fabrics, window treatments and rugs. Pamela helped us with great room and kitchen window treatments for our new home. She was delightful to work with and she introduced concepts we had not thought of. Being new to the renovation world, my husband and I needed direction and ideas for the family room and kitchen in our newly purchased home. This has been our second experience working with Pam Neel and both have been a pleasure. For our most recent project in the summer of 2015, we worked with Pam on a light remodel of our kitchen- counters, backsplash, cabinet hardware, appliances and accessories. My husband and I are extremely happy with the the transformation of our Dining room and Study. Our Dining room was dark and outdated. I met Pam when she came to my daughter-in-law's home to discuss window treatments. I was totally impressed with Pam's approach. She asked a lot of questions as to how & who would be using the room(2 adults,2 boys & a big dog). Pam took a lot of pictures and spent a lot of time learning my daughter-in-law's color preferences & what she envisioned for her family room. I decided that day to ask Pam to come to my house. Pam spent 2.5 hours with me the first visit and gave me some terrific ideas. She also helped me pick fabric for 2 new chairs(over which I had dithered for about 3 months). When the chairs were done she returned with fabrics for me to look at for drapes. They were all gorgeous & any one would have looked great but together we narrowed it down to the perfect one. Pam made the whole process so easy which was great for me since I have no color eye & can't visualize how things will look.The drapes were hung on the 15th of August & I love them. They make such a difference. I think Pam is fabulous & would recommend her to everyone.
