The Shady Lady Window Coverings

Rae was absolutely wonderful when I called her for window coverings for two of my rent houses. Not only was she professional and friendly, she knows her products! Rae helped me choose wonderful wooden blinds for two of my rental properties. The tenants absolutely love the blinds and were impressed with the installer, too. I would recommend Rae to anyone looking for lovely window coverings!!!

Rae has outfitted our home with the most beautiful shades. She provided useful guidance and helped us decide what would work best with the structure and design of our home. The install was fast and easy. Her team is very friendly and professional and we have recommended her to friends (who have used her and were equally impressed). Rae installed custom Hunter Douglas Luminettes and Silhouettes throughout our new home 11 years ago. This is late to post this review, and yet it is appropriate. At this point I can honestly say that my beautiful window coverings have given our home a sense of peace, joy and beauty for 11 years. In fact my beautiful window coverings may just be my favorite part of our home! The measurements/installation was perfect. In our master bedroom we have 5 windows in a bay window formation. I am astounded every time I look at these Luminettes - when closed it looks as if it is one continuous window covering! After 8 years I had them cleaned - Rae recommended a great company. They were so careful and thorough with my beautiful window coverings. The Luminettes and Silhouettes have a soft look that I love. They are not room darkening. This was not a problem for my husband or I - Rae had carefully explained this before we chose them. However if you love this look but prefer to be able to make some or all rooms dark at night, Rae can custom design blackout shades and install before she installs the window coverings. The Luminettes and Silhouettes were one of the best purchases of my life!

We interviewed five local window covering companies and decided to go with The Shady Lady. We are happy with our decision. She carries an excellent selection of products and is wonderful to work with. Our high-quality shades look fabulous!

Rae was great to work with. I had a very large new home project and needed many window coverings of different styles and I had some very large windows. Rae installed temporary blinds but got the order in quickly - in around 3 weeks from the time I ordered custom blinds to the time of installation. We had some trouble shooting to do because one of the large heavy blinds wasn't working properly. She was very responsive and we got it resolved quickly. She also went the extra mile trying to get my remote app to work properly. She spent hours on the phone with IT and my internet provider trying to get everything to work together properly which was complicated by my wifi setup which had an eero booster installed but in the end we got everything working properly. I highly recommend working with Rae.

I have worked with Rae at The Shady Lady on 3 separate occasions, and have always had a very good experience. They are honest, and very reasonable. The biggest job that Rae and team handled was the installation of a large patio shade to block the late afternoon sun. She and team advised me on the best shade for my situation, then installed it perfectly, on time, and most amazingly, called a week later to ensure that it was all working to my satisfaction. She genuinely cared about the work...not only the appearance, but also the functionality. I only wish that more professional people could be as honest and as caring. I HIGHLY recommend The Shady Lady!
