We chose to work with EZ Plans to create our architectural design for an upcoming remodel. We did run into some bumps with regard to their office being Los Angeles based and our home being in San Diego which has different codes and regulations. Also doing this long distance created some communication gaps with regard to the design creation. Overall, we love the design though and landed on the right aesthetic. Our favorite part of working with the firm was when it came time to interview contractors and the assistance we received from Cindy who met with them with us, reviewed their submissions, gave us advice and helped us a lot.

EZ Plans was exceptional from start to finish. They supported us through the creation of construction documents for a 900 sq. ft. home expansion and a 900 sq. ft. ADU. Pilar, our assigned architect, delivered a design that far exceeded our original vision and truly elevated the overall project. Throughout the entire process, the EZ Plans team was knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Their guidance and attention to detail made what could have been a complex process feel smooth and manageable. We highly recommend EZ Plans and would confidently give them a 10 out of 10 to any friends or family considering a similar project.

Ez Plans did not disappoint! Everything went smooth from start to finish, with permits approved in a very reasonable time frame. Mark, Pilar and Cindy were fantastic to work with and very clear about every step. Pilar took our ideas and implemented them wonderfully. (She was very patient and helpful when we were undecided on a roof line.) We are now under construction and can't wait for the final product. Great experience.

We have had a very good experience with EZ Plans as they have helped us design our remodel. They have been very accommodating as they have taken our ideas and formed them into buildable designs. They have taken care of all the technical aspects and all the permits etc and they have also set us up with an interior designer and building contractor. We're really excited for construction to begin and feel like we're in good hands.

Working with EZ Plans has been an ongoing pleasure! Working on their projects as a General Contractor makes the project go very smooth! I've recommended them to my clients and they've recommended me to theirs, it's truly a pleasure working alongside these professionals. If you are looking to hire an architect and are reading this comment I strongly suggest to give EZ Plans a shot. You wont regret it

It was a pleasure to work with Ez Plans team for the design of our custom home. Michael Song and his team are very professional, patient and highly skilled at what they do. Starting from our wish list for the architectural design which eventually ended up much more beautiful than what we had imagined, their willingness to accommodate our requests , sometimes even last minute changes, has stood out. They were very diligent in working with the HOA and also with and the city to get all relevant permits approved.

I have really enjoyed working with the team at EZ Plans. From start to finish, the experience has be great. They did a great job setting expectations and really spelling out the process of getting my ADU plans approved. I interviewed several architects before hiring EZ Plans and I decided to move forward with EZ plans because they kept things simple. I recommend EZ Plans especially if you have a good idea of what you want. Pilar, Cindy, Claire, Mark, and Ray were the perfect team to get my plans done.

I highly recommend EZ plans. Mark, Pilar, Michelle and Claire are very attentive. We worked closely with Pilar, she was amazing and professional explaining every step of the process of the city permits. Making a very frustrating process much easier to go through. We are very pleased we used Ez plans for our project.

Comment from EZ Plans Architects:

Esmeralda thank you for your great review and for trusting us to design and obtain a tenant improvement permit for your new ice cream store. It was a pleasure working with you and we wish you great success with your new business!

I love working with the talented staff at full-blown. Mark, Pilar, Michelle, and Claire are the most enjoyable people you want to work with when navigating the complicated, and often very frustrating process of obtaining a building permit for your project. Whether your project is a simple remodel, to a full-blown dream build they can do it all. These guys make the complicated task of design, plan, coordination, and permit submittal and clearance a truly EZ process. As a seasoned building contractor, I dread in dealing with the City of Los Angeles. My quality of life is much more pleasant now that I have the staff at EZplans working on my side. The EZ team is made up of several very talented, and great people who are EASY to work with. They streamlined the process down to a science, and most importantly get you to permit issuance in a quick and efficient manner!

We recently used EZ Plans on one of our projects and they did an amazing job. It is hard to find a competent architect nowadays so it was refreshing to have a company that could streamline the process for us. They finished the work quickly and helped deal with the city which is never a pleasant process. Thank you!

I engaged EZ Plans as an architect because I live in Venice Beach, where I am converting a garage to a large ADU with a second story addition. A friend of mine had used EZ Plans to remodel a heritage home in Santa Monica and recommended them for their quality design skills and experience in navigating the approvals process, especially the daunting Coastal Commission process. Now that I have my designs, approvals and permits, and construction is under way, I am very happy I used EZ Plans. The team assigned to me was very focused on delivering my vision while finding solutions to every challenge, steering the process painlessly and professionally to a very satisfactory result. And now that the dust has settled on the design and planning phase, I realize what good value for money their service was. I highly recommend the firm for their aesthetic, technical and procedural competencies.
