If you're looking for fabulous, organized, creative, enthusiastic, helpful, and experienced stagers, look no farther than Refreshed & Refined. Jodi and Paula exceeded my expectations of what a stager could do. They understood that I had made many decisions already, having revamped my home from top to bottom, but had not yet picked my carpet color. When I showed them my sample, they immediately helped me understand I was WAY off. They told me what pallet to look in, since the carpet would need to work with the wall color I chose for the whole house AND I wanted it to work with my dark trim and my new ceramic tile that unified the floors in the kitchen, hall, lower bath, and two upper baths. They were spot on with that recommendation. They told me items to update, such as my old bedding set. All those items were already on my punch list, but the value they gave me was telling me the CURRENT colors/pattern types for each room. I made purchases that could follow me to a new home while making this place sing.
They had me put all my art in one location, and then they figured out where it would look best in the home. They told me what types of additional art to get, as well. They told me which rooms still needed to be thinned out more. Oh, yes, they were so great, they even MOVED furniture to new rooms, when they said a room would look best with a piece from elsewhere. And they just put the best touches on how towels hung, how pieces sat on a counter or table, added lots of little things from the bag of tricks they had, like cute rocks to make a soap dish into an accent piece! Everything looked perfect—they made my already beautiful house turn into an absolute show house. They were part of the reason that I sold it within TWO hours of the listing going live, even though MLS says 3 days (what it took to finalize paperwork).
Finally, I so admired their work, I asked them if they also "staged to live." Yes, they offer that service to clients for whom they've done a home-selling staging. Again, they did a FANTASTIC job finding the right locations for all my art (including everything that I'd put into storage before engaging them to stage to sell) and hung it or placed it. They suggested what types of additional pieces of furniture would help fill my new, larger home. Finally, they gave me referrals to other professionals they trust. I took them up on their home mover suggestion, and that tiny company did a great job as well. I can't say enough good things about them. Well, OK, I will say one thing some might perceive as a negative, but I didn't. They offered many other services they could perform for me. Since I was on a tight budget, I didn't take them up on any of those services. For what I paid for their least-expensive service, it was a BARGAIN when you look at all the other expenses you have in selling a home. LISTEN to their advice. Separate yourself from your house as "yours" and look at it as a commodity to sell. They coach you in that, but since I'd been working on this house for 2 years + to sell, I already had the right mindset.
Maybe these referrals are supposed to be anonymous, but I'm not afraid to put my name on this referral: Shari Heinrich
