Look no further than Freisen Mantels, Randy has done 2 custom mantels for me, 1at cultus lake for a new gas fireplace, and 1 for a new wood stove at Hemlock valley ( Sasquatch mountain ski resort ) I get nothing but compliments and people telling me how beautiful they are. I have no words at how much I love looking at and spending time around our fireplaces. They are a piece of Art to me.

We wanted to put a gas " wood store" in our home. After much research looking for reputable businesses we approached R.E. MacDonald stoves. The service was excellent. A representative came to our home ( at our request) to make suggestions about what to get and where to place it. There were a few complications in installing it due to our home. For example, they had to drill through our log exterior wall to install the venting. We has some trepidation but they did an amazing job. Great selection, prompt professional installation, very comparable pricing - what more could you ask! Price was as quoted ( no surprise add ons), everything was on time and all staff were very personable.

Your recent installation of a free standing gas stove in our family room was completed to our entire satisfaction. Your installer did an excellent job of adapting the stove to the existing brick chimney both inside and out resulting in an attractive stove interior appearance and an improved top of chimney outlet. This was the second retrofit job that you have done for us in recent months and we would not hesitate to recommend your firm to anyone looking for similar products and installation expertise.

R.E. MacDonald installed a see-through wood burning stove in a house that we renovated. They were very professional and met all of our expectations. The staff was knowledgeable and prompt at returning calls and answering questions. We are very happy with our purchase.

I requested bids from three companies and while all the prices were similar, what I appreciated with this company was they came to my home even though i live in Surrey to see the existing fireplace and see my concerns. They have more examples of fireplaces than any others that I went to . They understood my challenge of living in a townhouse and the need to position the new fireplace using the same duct work . They provided names of people to do the mantle and stonework . Both of these people did first class work.

We were completely satisfied with the entire process from consultation to installation of our new gas fireplace. We felt confident in going with this tried and true company that's been in business for so many years.

We are glad to write an extremely positive review on R.E. MacDonald Stoves and Stones! We have had two heating units installed by R.E., a gas Pacific Energy 'Wood' stove model in 2001 for our family room and in December 2014, we installed a Valor sealed unit, including a full brick surround and mantel in our living room. Ralph MacDonald and Rick, his veteran sales person, have both been personally involved and have been fantastic! Rick did our quotes and in both cases, his recommendations were bang on for our needs; and Ralph visited the house during the installs. We are constantly getting incredibly positive reviews on both units - and we will continue to highly recommend R.E. MacDonald Stoves and Stones. We will be installing an outdoor kitchen in the very near future and will not go anywhere else when considering our purchase.

Great job! I've had 2 gas fireplaces installed at my own home and at my son's home. They did a great job. Everything was explained very well and they came out to Hope at no charge to do the estimate. I recommend them.
