Robert Emert was engaged to design a sunroom replacement for my house which was built in 1940. He was constrained by using the same footprint, coordinating the design with a lake style stone facade and replacement of the copper roof. There were engineering issues in attaching the new sunroom to the existing structure that would also be aesthetically pleasing from the outside and bright and airy from the inside. I am pleased to report that the finished project exceeded our expectations. Working with my wife and myself, as well as my contractor early in the design stage, allowed us to consider design options that we had not even considered at the start of the project. I was a pleasure working with Rober Emert.

We really enjoyed working with Rober on our extensive house renovation. He listened to us and worked hard to create a plan that was creative, fit our needs, and within budget. Robert brought us options and we felt that we worked together to finalize plans for the construction. We are really pleased with the final product!

Robert designed a beautiful home with our budget in mind. He worked with us and our contractor to create a home that we love. He was very responsive and overall wonderful to work with. I highly recommend!!!

Eight years later, we are still convinced that finding and working with Rob was the best initial decision we made when embarking on a kitchen expansion and remodel! We were thrilled that given the myriad of our limitations from budget to building coverage ratio, Rob was able to confidently draw up not just one fantastic design option, but several for us to chose from. We were delighted with each and every aspect of our interaction with Rob; from his "spot -on" design, his sense of humor, the ease at which he worked with contractors, suppliers and our township building department to name a few! He stayed on schedule despite some surprises which he quickly resolved with our builder. Robs' design was so great that our kitchen was featured in the Fall 2007 edition of Millburn Short Hills Magazine (page 55)! When people enter our home, the one room that they still "oooh and ahhh" about is the kitchen. It is the focal point of design and real living. I would recommend Rob for any and all projects and hope to work with him again on our next project.

Working with Robert Emert was a wonderful experience. We never hired an architect before and didn't have any experience with taking on a major remodeling job. It was clearly a major step in our lives and it was a decision we didn't take lightly. First and foremost, Mr. Emert was a great listener and he explained in clear terms the step-by-step process for the extensive renovations to our home. He understood our needs as well as our budget and the changes we wanted to make to our home. He took into consideration all of our desires for the future of the space and created a plan with a design strategy that turned our dreams into a reality. From day one, Mr. Emert was protective of our interests and collaborated with the general contractor every step of the way during the project. The timeline he gave us in early meetings were met and exceeded. I cannot express enough that Mr. Emert's competence, professionalism, integrity and vision for our home, exceeded our expectations. He is well respected by the town building department and the extensive level of detail in the architect drawings enabled our permits to pass swiftly and without any problems. We watched as our old drab space was turned into a home that is beautiful as well as functional. Our architect, Robert Emert has our highest recommendation.

After the trauma of losing our home in Superstorm Sandy, Rob Emert was truly a delight to work with. He took our vision and his expertise and designed a wonderful open floor plan that included our kitchen and dining room. He also reworked our upstairs to expand our bedrooms and add a full bath. Rob is professional, meticulous, timely, and precise. Everyone who walks into our home is literally blown away by its design, functionality, and aesthetic. Highly recommended!

It was a pleasure working with Robert Emert as our architect in renovating our first floor, which included a kitchen, family room, dining room, formal living room, powder room and foyer. Robert took the time to hear my vision and ideas for a complete new open layout of our first floor and gave me many fantastic ideas how to make it work structurally in the best efficient way. Without a doubt Robert’s experience as an architect was an invaluable input and helped me tremendously in making my project not only beautiful, but extremely functional. Robert was very diligent in getting the drafts and the final plans on a timely basis and would always return my calls and emails immediately. Cannot say enough of how awesome and detailed were Robert Emert's initial drafts and plans of my project. Robert took the time to detail everything, from ideas for the lighting, to a very detailed kitchen layout (that included every detail that a functioning kitchen needs), ideas for floor/moldings, and many more details. Robert provided also 3D drawings of my project which made it very easy to visualize how the final project would look like, These 3D drawings were crucial for me in making all the decisions about my project. Robert did everything to make what I felt was a challenging and stressful process as efficient and easy as it could be. Robert’s architect plan was so detailed and clear that enabled me to get accurate cost estimates for the kitchen and for the contractor. The detailed plan was also the reason for my construction phase to have flow nicely and with no surprises. Robert was always checking on the progress of my project and was very accessible to support the contractor with any questions he would have. In summary, I would highly recommend Robert Emert as an architect for any renovation.

Rob was wonderful to work with. He was knowledgeable, highly creative, a good listener and came up with a wonderful design for our entire home remodel. His plans were beautifully rendered and we found him patient and responsive to our needs. Rob provided plans for us in a timely manner and paid attention to our budget constraints. He made very good suggestions for where we could cut costs and where we should spend more money. When it came to building our home Rob was right there and was willing and able to work cooperatively with our builder. There is no one I would rather work with than Rob. He gets my highest accolades.

Robert was an amazing architect. He drew our plans for a new construction project. He was very detailed and careful and thorough in his plans. He was accessible when we needed his expertise during the building process. We would highly recommend him.

We hired Robert Emert as our architect in late 2010 for the expansion of our existing home. Robert is detailed and meticulous in his work and provided a design that gave us great living space and incorporated the features that were important to us. Our house from the street view fits in nicely with the architecture style that exists in our neighborhood. We are extremely happy with our home and very pleased that we hired Robert as our architect.
