Renewal Remodels and Additions

We LOVE our new home that the Renewal Remodel Team built for us! We had originally started as a remodel but realized we were going to need to tear down our home and rebuild a brand new home. We had met with Troy first for the remodel, and were so impressed by him we decided to go for it and have them build our new home. From design (Taryn) to onsite coordination (Glenn), and back to Troy and Owner, George- we were impressed with their attention to detail, great communication, and overall product. The entire process happened during the toughest construction time (COVID!) and they were amazing to work with through it all. Any issues that came up were quickly resolved and we always felt they had our best interest at heart. One thing we know, we have had many friends /family do a remodel or brand new build and end up not happy with their builders at the end of the project. Not Us! We are proud of the house they built for us and we have referred them to others. Thank you so much Troy and Team- we are so THANKFUL to have worked with you!

Renewal Remodels and Additions is the saving grace of my remodel from hell. I literally cannot say enough good things about them. We fired 2 general contractors before hiring Renewal, and I was incredibly nervous given my past experiences - but the whole company made the process painless. From the designers and architects, the walk throughs with Troy, and the countless questions and conversations with my PM Colin, everything was incredible. I never felt like I was being a burden with my amount of questions or concerns, and the process of changing and adding things was quick and easy. The quality of the work is so much better than any contractors in previously, it can't compare. Absolutely loved working with them and I would recommend them to anyone going through a remodel. They remodeled my entire basement (including laundry room/bathroom), my sunroom, and did some fixes in the upstairs of my home as well to correct previous contractor work. I really like the design process they take you through before the remodel so every fixture, material, design, etc. is completely decided upon beforehand and you know exactly what to expect. There is clear communication and ample opportunity to change or correct misunderstandings (something I didn't get with previous GCs - I was constantly surprised with other GCs). Our project was stopped in the middle due to the City giving additional requirements to our permitting - there was some question as to the grandfathering in of one of the structures and Renewal handled all of the communication with the city and counseled me through the process of what information I needed to gather, and even helped search the WA State Archives for information. Not only is their work and customer service excellent, but they are also just genuinely great people. They're generous with their time, patient, understanding, family oriented, and they give a lot of their time to the community as well. If you're looking for a general contractor, I would highly recommend hiring them. If I had hired them out of the gate instead of finding two smaller GCs to "save money" who continually messed things up, misused my funding, and didn't permit my home correctly, I probably would have spent less money in the long run because of all the fixing I've had to do, and I would have spent much less time and heartache on the whole process. Renewal is excellent and I'm so grateful I found them.

The massive remodel of our 100 year old farm house was daunting, to say the least. From the very beginning, the Renewal design team listened carefully to us and worked hard to bring our dreams to fruition. We quickly realized we can depend on both their design and construction teams to act with utmost integrity at all times. That is priceless when our forever home and life savings are on the line. We briefly considered being our own general contractor when we first started this project, but remodels are complex, and we needed experts to make sure it was done right. In the end, we truly believe it would have cost us a great deal more if we'd have tried to navigate sub contractors on our own. Renewal has strong relationships with reliable sub contractors who are honest and take pride in their work.

This is a very good company. On time, on budget and very communicative. Beautiful work with high quality products. No surprises either. Would definitely use them again.

My husband and I hired Renewal to do a major remodel brand new kitchen they did an amazing job, Which was finished ahead of schedule . We have referred many people because they did such a great job. Now two years later they are coming back and doing outdoor living for us and we are super excited for the outcome

Always courteous and responsive. Our project start within the timeframe given and due our circumstances we were forced to accelerate the schedule which they accommodated to the best of their ability. This is our second round with Renewal, although we hope we are done remodeling, they will always be our choice for remodelers. Always professional and courteous.

Renewal did an outstanding job on my project. It was complicated: we turned a giant crawl space into a walk-out basement studio and office. It involved restructure of support beams, rerouting HVAC and plumbing, and the installation of a three-piece bathroom with a curbless shower, rough-in for a possible future kitchenette. tile flooring, and dedicated heating. Renewal's team was insightful and really listened to our desires. They were smart about structure and meticulous in their attention to detail. They never once told me "you can't do that," but explained each situation as it arose and the potential complications of each design decision. I am a professional illustrator, so I have a keen eye for detail. Renewal accommodated me without reservation. Every one who entered my home was cheerful and professional. The only shock came with the cost of installing the tile floor. It was twice what I expected. Other contractors have told me they could have done the entire remodel job for two-thirds what Renewal charged. That might be so, but I wonder if they would have been as smart and efficient and professional about it. I really have no complaints at all.

We hired Renewal to update three bathrooms. We were extremely happy with the results and and the workmanship of their contractors. During the remodel it was discovered there were other issues and Renewal identified them, discussed them with us and with our approval immediately and effectively addressed them. There were no surprises.

When we decided to remodel a major portion of our house--kitchen, laundry, family room, entry hall--we spent a lot of time looking at the completed work of different contractors and also checking their histories with the Washington State Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau. We spoke to three different contractors and quickly selected Renewal Construction of Puyallup, WA for their history of good business dealings and also the quality of their work. Our project cost in excess of $100,000 and took us out of these main living areas for most of three months, so it was a major commitment from our family of six. The results are spectacular. Renewal's designer created a kitchen plan the utilized every inch of space and brought to our attention new devices and labor- and space-saving elements that were unknown to us. The re-envisioning of space was brilliant. She worked tirelessly with us to determine the best materials for us to use and gave intelligent and thoughtful responses to our questions. We were likewise extremely pleased with every single craftsman who worked in our home. From the electricians to the plumbers, gas line fitters, tilers, wallboarders, cabinet installers--every one maintained a standard that I would call exceptional. Furthermore, they did their work all while a family of six continued to live in the house. They were very aware that they were working in a private home and were extremely respectful of the premises and the family members. They were patient with the 8-year old boy who spent his summer watching them work and asking hundreds of questions. They kept the work areas as tidy as they possibly could. They worked around our needs, such as moving the laundry room first so that we would have a utility sink where we could wash dishes. I would not hesitate to hire Renewal Construction again. We have a kitchen that makes our lives easier, allows multiple family members to work simultaneously, makes it easier to keep clean and tidy, and that melds the utilitarian with the beautiful.

This Remodeling Company was very honest, hardworking and very accomodating for your schedule and family. We had a major remodel that they completed 6 months longer than estimated but worked with our schedule to reduce the stress and inconvience. At the end of the project the results were more than we had hoped and we are still in contact with George and his team. Have recommended them to several friends and coworkers and they experienced the high level of dedications, ethics and customer service. Started our remodel in the end of summer and worked through the winter with roofs being removed, trusses placed, expansions of several kick outs to our hours, decks added front porch with a fireplace, Master bath and living space to our bedroom along with new siding, windows and roofing and stone work onthe outside.
