We have used Rob and his company, Conservation Renovations on numerous projects at our home over the years. He always has a good sense of what we need and the ability to see his work through to the very end of the project. His fast response time, explanation of the work he is about to do and being able to communicate well makes him our “go to“ guy. We highly recommend Conservation Renovations to anyone who is considering upgrades or remodeling.

Conservation Renovations did an excellent job on our whole home renovation. We worked with Rob Paugh and he is very responsive to needs and questions. He communicates well and follows through on his commitments, pricing and timing. We needed his help with cabinets, counters, plumbing fixtures, lighting, painting, flooring, windows and an external porch fireplace. We are very pleased with all the items we selected with him and the finished home looks great. We will definitely work with him again on another home and recommend him highly.

Rob and his crew had to completely renovate our old kitchen due to a water leak that had been going on for months. They tore out our sink, all counters and flooring. After removing all mold and mildew and rotted wood, they replaced and installed our new dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and all counters and cabinets. The cabinet manufacturer was delayed, and Rob worked directly with them to expedite the process. The crew was very professional, courteous and respectful. Pricing was very competitive. We now have a beautiful much more functional kitchen. I refer to it as our bitchin kitchen.

Rob did a great job. He did what he said he would do for the price he said he would do it.

We recently hired Conservation Renovations to remodel our kitchen. Robb and Geoffrey did an outstanding job. Robb and his workers showed up every day, and there was never any delays. They removed old wallpaper, repaired and painted all the walls and ceiling, installed new Quartz countertops, new tile back splash, repaired and refreshed all cabinets, removed and updated all lighting, installed new light fixtures over table and cooktop, replaced several appliances, (with their help, we were able to choose the right appliances for the new kitchen - our favorite being the deep sink and the glorious new faucet that does all kinds of fun things.) They completely refinished and stained our kitchen floor, so the stain matched and flowed perfectly into the older floors in the adjoining rooms. You could not tell it was any different from the rest of the rooms. In addition, they also repainted our adjoining laundry room so the paint would match the kitchen. They were expert in removing the washer, dryer and extra refrigerator, in order to paint behind them, and then they moved them back into place with no problem at all. Even though the job is complete, Rob has called us a couple of times to be sure there are no problems. I have not listed everything they did, but we are very pleased with all they did. They had done a smaller job for us a couple of years before, and we were very pleased with their work. We did not hesitate to hire them again. Chris and Katrina Emanuel

A general contractor with honesty and integrity, how refreshing. The project was a steel building for a garage. Found Rob to be a man that could be trusted to deliver. Should we have another project in the near or distant future, we will definitely contact CONSERVATION RENOVATIONS.

We hired Conservation Renovations to do a complete basement remodel, including installation of a new bathroom and kitchenette. We were so pleased with the work that they did and the timeline for the project. They honored all of our requests and listened well to feedback and design suggestions. They provided guidance for details of the project, and made our vision come to life. We are so happy with the results!

My husband reviewed Rob several years ago but considering we continue to have him do work for us, I wanted to provide an updated review. Rob is our go-to contractor and most recently completed some bathroom repairs for us. He fit us in to his schedule despite the small scale of the job. We will be completing major deck repairs in the coming year and Rob will be our guy.

Rob replaced a buckled concrete sidewalk with a new brick entryway. The original sidewalk had been the victim of a mass of river birch roots, so preparing the deep, level bed for the brick sidewalk was a tough job. The guys did a beautiful job, on time and within my budget. Who could ask for more?

Professional, Quality Work, Highly Responsive!!! We've utilized Conservation Renovations for several projects of all sizes and have been pleased each time. The staff is professional, prompt, and extremely responsive. We look forward to working with them in the future!

I had Conservation Renovations perform 2 tasks for me, both of which began in 2018, and I experienced the following issues. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of my experience was that I felt like I played the role of quality control. Also, when I did identify an issue, it seemed like they avoided the issue so that I’d forget about it. I had to constantly remind them to fix things, and they were not accountable for anything. Some of the bathroom things came up after the 2nd project. Bathroom – Jul – Aug 2018 •They put up a tile with a crack in it and did not inform me. •I found several bumps in the drywall that were not smoothed over from drywall screws. There are still some in the walls that they did not fix. •Did not properly caulk the shower door. •Two pieces of tile fell from the bench they installed, and it took them a week to come back and fix. The repair took 30 minutes. •There is currently a leak in the shower door, and they did not fix the outside baseboard. Major rebuild – Sep 2018 – Feb 2019. A tree fell on my house during Hurricane Florence. I will say that they were very quick to respond and help me contain the damage, but several errors delayed the finish, caused me to live in a hotel for longer than I should have, and issues continue to arise. •Did not clean up after themselves: left nails and glass in the yard (I have a child), left 3 months’ worth of dirty utensils in my dishwasher for me to clean when I came back home, splattered feces all over my toilet, scratched the hardwood floors they just finished. •Forgot to install a flue cap on my chimney, and I had squirrels living in there for almost 2 weeks while they delayed installation. They did not offer to clean out the chimney. Did not properly mount canned lights on the living room ceiling, and the ceiling drywall had to be recut and repaired. •TV was mounted off center, which they knew, and I had to ask for them to move. •Did not properly plan for TV mount above the fireplace. Had they coordinated with the AV company more proactively, they could have made a cleaner look. •They picked out cabinet hardware without asking me and were annoyed when I asked them to change it. •Avoided proceeding with the patio project which left my yard as a mud pit for months. I’m still dealing with this. •It took them weeks to close out the end of this project. They moved on to other things and completely disregarded this project. They also did not do what they said they would when closing it out.

We hired this company to do some construction, painting and repair work for us and found them to be highly trained, knowledgeable, very dependable and cost efficient. We plan to hire them again in the near future to redo our kitchen. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any type of construction or repair work that would be needed.

I have used this company several times from 2012 through 2017. They have done extensive work for my homes including: installing an entire floor with new wood flooring, replacing/repainting siding on my townhouse, complete bathroom renovation, roof repair/inspection, painting, several small plumbing jobs, and some small electrical repairs/upgrades. I highly recommend this company as they have a very high integrity and conscientiousness towards every job they do, both large and small.
