Bob customized the single letter "H" and then installed it onto our house. The letter was completed in a reasonable time frame and very professional installed. I have used Iron Art for custom designed railings both inside and outside our house. I strongly recommend this business.

We were interested in having a custom iron coffee table made with the porcelain tile that we had chosen ourselves. We had an amazing experience dealing with Iron Art (Robert Aucoin, artist and Lisa Aucoin). Our initial email inquiries were promptly answered and we were given a ballpark estimate for our project. Having seen Robert’s work on the website and in person, we sought and used his experience and artistic input in the design of our coffee table to add to the look we were thinking of. We are very pleased with our custom coffee table made by a local artisan.

Lisa and Robert were both receptive and helpful at the outset through to completion of our commission. For such a relatively small project, but one that was important to my wife and me, Robert took great care and time in outlining our options and in seeing the project through to finish. We required an unobtrusive frame needed to suspend a ca. 1900 folk-art carved image of a policeman, measuring 2 feet high. He ensured that the base was heavy enough to support the piece but not overly large in surface area. Robert spot-welded the supporting rods at the underside of the base in order to maintain a clean look to the surface. The hook that holds the policeman at the top of his helmet is barely noticeable. Robert made sure that the height of the stand was positioned just so that the policeman's feet rest flat on the base, which is clear-coated to avoid oxidation. An excellent job, and one to which Robert gave special attention. His talents as a portrait artist clearly contribute to his ability to conceptualize and execute on a wide range of artistic projects involving iron. I would highly recommend him.

I sent Robert a picture of a very small Christmas decoration that I had seen to hold a few Christmas baubles. I had this idea that if it could be made larger and heavier a fruit vault would be born. A creation to keep three crafty, problematic cats from stealing fruit and making it possible to have a fruit bowl again. Oh boy, did Robert ever run so professionally with it. I never had the opportunity to meet him however he sketched, we collaborated through many, many emails. I can't even begin to tell you what a wonderful gift he made me for the most difficult man to buy for. Robert is professional and communicative when getting down to business, however nothing can touch is creative and magical artwork, that now takes pride of place on the dinning room table. When this awful pandemic is over, I'm looking forward to driving to Kingston and shaking his very gifted hands.

Robert did an excellent job on my railings. He drew up a very professional diagram of the design and explained it to me. We agreed on the project and the price and he quietly went ahead. Very professional work done and good clean up. Very pleased with the result.

Over the last 15 years, Robert has made for me: table legs, curtain rails, bannister rails, candle stick holders and belts. He has worked collaboratively with me, interpreting my sketches and often suggesting improvements and modifications. He is an artist who is has a deep knowledge of metal and welding. The pieces I have received have always been flawless and functioned perfectly.
