Robert began his career working for his father’s construction business when he was a preteen. He and his father performed all the physical work on various projects. He learned construction techniques and methodologies during this time that included foundations, rough and finish carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, masonry, insulating, roofing as well as drywall, cabinetmaking, and millwork. Robert’s love for drawing steered him to take courses in drafting in both junior high and high school. Less than a decade later Robert started his architectural business that integrated both his drafting skills and extensive knowledge of construction to serve the general public and builders alike. Robert attributes the success in his business to his dad’s training and mentoring. ‘He taught me how to think’ so when I design a structure, I know how to build it prior to putting into a plan format. Builders and sub contractor’s benefit from his vast construction knowledge because his plans ‘work’. Robert’s plans are tailored to material specifications and availability, so the end product is value engineered since waste is minimal and materials are maximized. The amount of detail he provides on his plans allow the sub-contractors to stay on schedule creating a seamless process. His high standards along with over 40 years of experience benefit all his clients. Some of his clients have been with him for over 30 years and remain loyal to this day..
