My partner and I hired Rodwin/Skycastle and are happy to live in the Boulder area with the resulting spectacular build site. The project was both on time and on budget. All expenses were *transparent* with monthly vendor receipts and clear mark ups. This design/build team flawlessly captured uninterrupted mountain views of both Indian Peaks and Longs Peak mountains. The materials chosen matched the natural elements guiding both the architectural flow and interior palette. Scott's vision, shared by my partner, of bringing the mountains inside was a complete success. Rodin/Skycastle's vision and execution with Blake, Jocelyn, Matt, Brendan and Jeff delivered a home featuring a sophisticated color scheme, palette and curated furniture selections echoing the tones and textures of the surrounding terrain. Finally, to leverage Colorado's great outdoors, the backyard living space easily accommodated a saltwater pool, integrated hot tub, heated/covered patio deck, built-in BBQ area and a reclaimed Steamboat Springs Ski Area Storm Peak triple lift chair.

We had a wee leaky 100-year-old greenhouse that dreamed of being something more in life. Poof! Transformation happened in the form of "Juniper House" - for now a sweet retreat sanctuary with a private entrance and courtyard for housing artists in Lyons, Colorado... and later a nest for in-laws / au pairs / an artist-in-residency space... We highly recommend Rodwin Architecture and Skycastle Construction for the design and build of your home. We were very happy with both the design of our house and the subsequent high quality construction. Being sister companies, they worked very closely together to ensure that the design that we and the architectural team had created and finalized was exactly reproduced during construction with no mishaps, oversights or rework. The architecture team were very good communicators who listened closely to our needs and preferences. They presented us with various options, ideas and recommendations at every step of the way and worked very hard to give us exactly the house we wanted. The construction of the house was very closely supervised at every step by Skycastle, and they kept us fully informed throughout the construction through regular on site meetings, which were very valuable to us in understanding the overall progress, flagging any upcoming decisions or choices we would need to make, and updating us on the status of any issues. The construction is now complete and we are delighted with the outcome. The quality of the finished house is outstanding and from what we saw throughout the build, the quality the contractors they used were exceptionally good at every step, from foundations through framing, utilities, flooring, tiling, cabinet installation, finish woodwork and painting and staining. We are very pleased with the final result of both the original design and the construction itself. We wholeheartedly recommend the combination of Rodwin Architecture and Skycastle Construction if you want both an outstanding design and a rigorous, quality construction. We are delighted with the house that they designed and built for us.

My wife & I worked with Rodwin Architecture to rebuild our house after the flood in 2013. Scott & his team were great to work with from start to finish. They were very attentive to our needs & offered many creative ideas in the re-design of our house that we are very happy with (and wouldn't have thought of on our own). Very detailed oriented, friendly and always professional. I will definitely be working with them again for all my future architecture needs!

This was our first time building a custom home. Many people say, "It's a LOT of work! A LOT of decisions and time!" Rodwin & Skycastle made building a house fun. There were very clear expectations, timelines, and budgets. And as problems come up (for example, and odd zoning configuration on our lot) Scott and team were collaborative and clever problem solvers. In the end, the new home is high quality and feels like "us." Every room and every detail feels homey and warm and inviting. Scott and team were able to translate our likes and dislikes into house form. We 'll live here forever!

These guys performed miracles on our remodel of a house built in 1976! They creatively fixed all of the challenges of this old house. We can’t believe it’s the same house. It is gorgeous!!! They did beautiful, creative work and were fun to work with. We loved our team. I highly recommend!

Scott (Sensitive Information Hidden), Brandon (Sensitive Information Hidden), and their professional teams did a magnificent job designing and building our home. From initial interviews and questionnaires to completing punch list items after moving in, this mission was successful. We think their most important skill was listening to us, and giving repeated feedback in what Scott calls an iterative process. This led to refining and shaping our ideas and theirs over time, giving the best possible outcome. Cost and efficiency were always a priority and we appreciated that. There are always countless challenges designing and building a home, especially in COVID times and in a heavily regulated community like Boulder, so good communication and rapport made all the difference to us. After nearly a year of living in our new home, we appreciate the quality of the build and are most satisfied with the experience. After searching Boulder County for more than 3 years and failing to find a suitable small home with some land for our dog (Yellow lab) and pony (3 geldings) show, we ended up purchasing a special piece of property in the foothills north of Boulder. We didn't want to build again but it was the only alternative to get what we wanted. Rodwin Architecture had done a feasibility study on the property so contacting Scott was a logical first step. Scott's description of the design and build capabilities of Rodwin Architecture in conjunction with Skycastle Construction made a compelling argument for choosing them for the project. We are glad we did. The home design and site plan incorporated all of our vision with attention to detail and Rodwin Architecture walked us through the administrative jungle of Boulder Co. to get an approved building permit within a year. Construction in the time of COVID was a challenge but Skycastle persevered and we managed to move into our new home in less than 3 years from land purchase. Almost every day we take a moment or two to appreciate the comfort of our home and the beauty of our surroundings. We have no reservations recommending Rodwin Architecture and Skycastle Construction.
