Rochelle Silberman Design

Rochelle and I have worked on a number of projects together over the last few years. Rochelle is a true collaborator, bridging the transitions between architectural concept, client needs, client budget and timeless design. Her relationships with Vendors and knowledge of product lines is also a great benefit to working with her!

Rochelle is truly an expert in her field. She is patient, creative, and listens well working to exceed the expectations of her clients. She has given me many great ideas to transform my space and I appreciate her professionalism. She is flexible and able to stay within budget.

We hired Rochelle to design a fireplace for our great room. She did a wonderful job helping us figure out what we wanted, and made the whole process very easy. She is very pleasant to work with, talented and detail orientated. We love the way our project turned out! We highly recommend her and are looking forward to working with her again.

Rochelle designed our new kitchen, helped us choose a contractor, and facilitated the process through conclusion. She had great ideas, sometimes building on our concepts, and other times coming up with ideas we had not envisioned, including ways not just to renew our kitchen, but also enlarge the space without adding to the house's footprint. Two years later, our kitchen still feels fresh and new, and guests constantly compliment it.

We love Rochelle Silberman design! The kitchen/laundry/half bath area of our home was in desperate need of a mini makeover and while we managed to select paint color ourselves, we were perplexed about how to update the lighting. Rochelle came in and quickly determined which style of lighting would compliment not only the rooms themselves but the design of the rest of the house. She provided us with several selections to choose from and even brought examples over to further illustrate for us how the finished project would look. She is so easy to work with and has a natural eye for design. We are very happy with the way our area update turned out and look forward to working with her again in the very near future...we have more updating to do!

I have worked with Rochelle over the years as a consultant. She has had great ideas for my interior/exterior as I have completed small budget remodels. She always designs with a collaborative spirit and is extremely fun to work with. She has a lot of great ideas and is generous with resources. She is talented, creative, and very enthusiastic.

Rochelle Silberman Design worked with my elderly mother to design an updated and accessible bathroom that included a walk-in tub and open layout. Rochelle was involved in all aspects of the project from design to working with the contractor. Her design aesthetic is broad and she listened to my mom’s wishes and needs and responded with a design that is both beautiful and functional. My mom loved working with Rochelle! I called Rochelle Silberman after seeing her portfolios on Houzz. I had really I lost faith in my contractor at that point. Rochelle was amazing! In our first 2 hour session, she analyzed our kitchen remodel plans and suggested some changes. I was completely impressed by her experience and stellar design sensibility. Later, she designed a lighting plan for our living/dining room that includes the possibility of more fixtures (boxes set in attic space) so that the design be easily shifted to include a chandelier. She is a superstar--professional and attuned to budget, responsive and committed to any project she takes on, no matter how big or small. Since our project, I have recommended her to friends who also really enjoy the great changes she's making to their interior design and the ideas she has for their future remodel.

Remodeled 1938 kitchen, powder room and laundry room into a beautiful and functional modern kitchen and full bathroom. Designer Silberman is a master designer, taking three small spaces and creating a large kitchen with views of the Bay Bridge along with a large full bathroom. The layout of the kitchen is efficient and beautiful. Silberman payed attention to every detail such as the location of the compost drawer in relation to where the prep would happen. Her one-of-a-kind design of the island allowed us to maximize the island space while not overwhelming the kitchen space. Her suggestions for finishes and other materials was really appreciated and showed her depth of experience working with a wide variety of materials. Our project was done on time and within the budget. I highly recommend this designer.

Rochelle has an impeccable eye for design and attention to detail and is extremely well organized and professional. Her technical expertise, clear communication and keen ability to interpret the client's vision and requirements all while keeping the project on budget and time, makes for a seamless design process. Rochelle brings a thoughtfulness and skill to each design endeavor.

Rochelle did a fantastic job for us as designer, architectural planner, and construction manager. She has an excellent eye for style and design. Having her act as the construction manager for the remodel process was a huge help in keeping things on time and within budget. Her eye for detail was crucial to the overall success of the execution of our project.

What fun it was to work with Rochelle Silberman! She's very pragmatic, worked with our budget (and taught us how to), found us contractors (her tile guy is just fabulous, and that was so important), and stayed with us through the whole process. She has tons of experience, and gave us good reasons to do this, but not that. The end result was a beautiful and functional bathroom. After we finished our main bathroom, we moved on to a lower budget, smaller bathroom, For that, Rochelle consulted on an as-needed basis, via email and phone, and provided resources, contacts, and best of all, her informed opinion. Again, a successful outcome. Rochelle's design eye is spot-on, as is her understanding of context. In this case, we remodeled the bathrooms in preparation to sell the house. She sent us back to the drawing board at least once, reminding us that the bathroom has to have universal appeal if it is to help sell the house. So my Mexican-themed bathroom went out the window, which was a good thing. More recently, Rochelle provided color consultation for interior painting, again in preparation for sale. She came over with four or five color sample books, each with samples that were about 6" x 6" -- big enough to really see the colors. So far, we've only painted the bedroom, but I like it! Rochelle's also fun to be with. She's very, very competent, yet modest. She tells great, funny anecdotes. She's professional.
